Beautiful! I like the use of the old armor. -Santhor

Wow! I can't believe you got it so soon, even being an ambassador. Can you get a few pics of the CTT or Kingdoms? Boba looks great, so does Han. These are still due for August right? -Santhor
-
Yes, I wish they would've put a little more effort into the prison carriage. But, even if I wasn't the first, I'm glad to have another Dragons torso. -Santhor
-
Oh.....oops. Shucks, I thought I was some genius Lego prelim-pic detective. Well, thanks. -Santhor

Wuh-oh, am I the only one who's seeing a NEW dragon knight torso on this pic: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/C-N/Toy-...oy_fair_263.jpg (you'll have to zoom in on the archer in the tower...it looks like Gilbert the Bad's from KK1: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973px119c01 This makes me very happy...FINALLY some diversity. EDIT: Whoops, forgot the back. Here you are: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4351338 Top middle of screen, BTW. -Santhor

Great MOC, we all seem to share a common love of Fantasy Era, good luck on your tour, and thank you to all the service men and women here on Eurobricks.

REVIEW: Prince of Persia 7571 Fight for the Dagger
Santhor replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yup, just as I thought: no dice on the connections...oh well. Sets are still lookin' awesome! -Santhor -
Yes! I've been missing out for years, and now I can finally get the BEST one yet! I just wish that (from what I've seen) there'd be more balanced factions-i.e. 2 Dragon knights, 2 Lions, (but more in reality). I'm not sure if these have already been posted, but here's a link to C-N's Brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=420970 Lots of the pics we've seen, but there's a few good new ones hiding in there. -Santhor

Wow! Amazing!! I can't believe that took you 4 months to build...it would've taken me years! -Santhor

Just got my copy yesterday, built it, and what's with the tiny courtyard?! Now how am I supposed to have an army of crusaders riding through there? By the way, why doesn't the camel come with the back-filler thing? Shame on ye, TLG. However, I love the minifigs. -Santhor

Nice job exotrator! Love the cannons, especially the one hanging by the chain, and the figs! I'll need to try that out with the roof-love the alternating colors, did you put poles (like spears) inside? -Santhor

REVIEW: Prince of Persia 7571 Fight for the Dagger
Santhor replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ok thanks xilefsson must've missed that part. @indianajones I was commenting (sarcastically) to Svelte as follows: Sadly, a race between Tamina on an oppressed camel and Asoka on a cart dragged by the Alamut merchant was never going to replace motorcar racing as an extreme sport.---I laughed at that one. Anyway my Battle of Alamut should be coming tomorrow or Friday, so I'll see if it mentions it in the instructions. -Santhor -
Great review! Like many others, I don't think I'll buy this, unless it's on clearance. In the side View picture (near the bottom) it looks like Nizam went a little wild with his flame toupee. -Santhor

Very nice review! But aren't ALL of the crownie spears pearl silver? If you're being sarcastic, I feel pretty stupid now. Can't wait to get this! -Santhor

REVIEW: Prince of Persia 7571 Fight for the Dagger
Santhor replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm not sure if this was answered before, but CAN it connect to the Battle of Alamut? Anyway great review, now all we need is a PoP motorcar race set! -Santhor -
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. And come on TLG, give us (medium size, not skeleton size) round shields! For without them this cannot be...SPARTA!! Lots of 20 USD sets, just as wall sections, and about 5 different shacks/houses/businesses (baker, blacksmith, etc.) Also, I think Kingdoms should be expanded, adding 1 or 2 new factions each year, each with its own personality-lots of archers, siege weapons, etc. While I'm at it, how about a Lego battering ram? Could fit 4+ soldiers, and canvas-like material over slanted plates, comes with a wall section or outpost. -Santhor

Okay, thanks. I'll remember that next time. Maybe. Still loving the box arts, though, but are there any bigger pics? -Santhor

I just ordered my own copy from Shop@Home, w/ a $5 off coupon, mind you, and it subtracted the money from the SET, so it had $9 shipping instead of $11. But it says they can't deliver before Easter...why not? It's still 6 days away. Now for questions: 1) do the figs have bad quality plastic torsos, like Pirates, Medieval Market Village- and about 20 of my clones!!! grrr..... 2)ARE the axes taller? they seem to have gotten a tattoo on their blades...

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but after playing Assassin's Creed, I'd like to see an expansion on the Prince of Persia style Middle East-Crusades stuffs...ooh, and some nice long, THIN swords, kind of like symmetrical katanas, would be excellent. Anyways, sets are still looking great w/ new box art, but the dragons need another scale-mail-strap torso. Also, I think a dragon knight leader (not to mention more horsemen) is in order...something great helm, broadsword, NOT in their 90's warrior guy...now THAT I would definitely buy. Expansions on Kingdoms city-fishermen (docks-2 smallish boats, 1 medium size, 4 fishermen, bartender, 2 sailors, 1 or 2 soldiers-shacks, small bar pub+grub=$60-$80) Training grounds (3 soldiers, 2 archers, captain/knight, training arena, 1 or 2 horses w/ barding, extra weapons, medium barracks-$40-$65) -Santhor

Very nice castle! Love the SNOT on the battlements and the brick built textured windows. Keep making more like this!
-
Thanks so much for the pic. I was never a fan of Hoth stuff, but since 2007 TLG has changed my mind! I do hate that they switch the rebel equips-goggles and helmet-all the time...I L I K E consistency! -Santhor
-
Thanks so much for the review, the only thing to make this better would be 1 more soldier...ah well. I agree, it does look like Gool has jeans, but at least he doesn't have a leather jacket--what kind of name is that anyway? -Santhor
-
I agree, I liked the bow-and-arrow piece...crossbows are nice, but they don't have the same "defend the castle and shoot the guys trying to climb" feel...oh well, maybe next year? -Santhor
