  1. "I guess. I kind'a jumped at the chance to get a bit more income, but it wouldn't really do me much good anyway. Bet there's plenty of assassins back in the hall who'd pay good money for it, though."
  2. Erik rubs his face and his chin with one hand. "A bit less than I could get in some other places, but not by much... Hmm..." he mumbles. "Sorry, miss, I'll just chat about it with my companions here." He turns to Dreyrugr. "I got the impression you were looking at becoming an assassin, and I'd rather not kill most'a my humanoid opponents anyways. You interested in that armour?" He glances around the rest of the party. "Any o' you guys buyin' that diamond? If not, maybe you could do me a loan towards it?"
  3. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm afraid I don't have much cash on me, but I don't s'pose you'd be interested in this flash bomb, or these bones, or these claws? -death progg, 35 gold in magic shops, 'Worthless in most places' I'd be willing to part with this armour, too, if I could raise the funds for that nice-looking armour you've got."
  4. It only doubles WP, so it's still a bit weaker than an upgraded broom. And it can't be used by Clerics. But yeah, for only 90 gold, that's cheaper than 10 gold per WP.
  5. Yeah, at first I was gonna say at least three, but in 69 most enemies K/O Erik in two hits quite easily. I haven't run the numbers, so yeah, could be 1:5. Also, Quest 69, I'm gonna be away with no internet access three days starting from tomorrow. I'm fine with anyone on the quest controlling Erik. Sorry, CMP.
  6. Diplomacy also. "Huh. Well, I'm afraid I don't have much money on me, so I'll pass on drinks. Pleasure to be of interest. What exactly does a town digger do? And how long has Zylstra been around?"
  7. Swap artifact SP for extra hitpoints? Say, Heavy armour:SP+5, immune to fragile becomes> Heavy armour HP+10, immune to fragile?
  8. Erik looks towards the two gnomes in the mushroom. "Hello. My names Erik."
  9. "Thanks, Pretzel, thanks Baron." Erik looks over at the lady in white. "What've you got for sale, miss?"
  10. "Can't speak for my companions, but yeah, sounds reasonable to me." Erik puts his two axes, sword and spear on the ground.
  11. Erik followed Dreyrugr's lead, raising his empty hands, before saying diplomatically. "We mean no harm! We just want to talk. To a Mr Posco Padfoot? Look, don't mean to impose. We can go outside if you want?"
  12. "Well, it doesn't look like there's much else to do, anyway. Sure."
  13. "Yes, thank you, guys." "The brown house looks as good as any."
  14. "Ah, well, yeah, more or less, I guess. But there's still a lot of poor humans, and a lot less harmony than I'd like. Humans often look for conflict where it isn't necessary."
  15. @ Quest 69 party: Could one of you guys with older characters explain human mating habbits? Erik's 19, Dreyrugr's 1000, Pretzel's around 450, Nessa's about 60. I think it's obvious who has the least experience.
  16. "Yeah, humans tend to get embarrassed about mating. I don't think there's really a reason for it, just a cultural thing. Never really saw the point in mating myself. Plenty of humans as it is. I guess their mating rituals vary quite a bit, but they tend to try to impress each other by amassing large amounts of wealth."
  17. "Yeah, maybe. I don't have much coin on me myself, but my companions might." "No offence taken. I think my companions will want to explore these tunnels some more anyway. Is there anything you need help with?"
  18. "Thanks anyway. What are you guys doing?"
  19. "No, there's no invasion force. Most humans don't even know about this place. We're just here to speak to a Mr Posco Padfoot."
  20. Erik equips his Peacekeepers Totem instead of his Tricorne, and says diplomatically: "Good day, gentlemen. Yes, I am a human, my name is Erik. We're here looking for a place named Zylstra. Who might you people be?
  21. "Sure." Erik hands his smoke bomb to Sylph.
  22. "Oh- well, yeah, maybe. Dunno. I'm not even certain they dislike humans, we could've misunderstood them. Um, dunno. I mean, just 'cos you've got no special diplomatic skill doesn't mean you can't make friends, hey? Try talking to them if you wan'to."
  23. "He looks more human than you do with that gear on, mister Solanum. And that blonde guy up ahead looks like he might be a gnome." Erik interjected quietly.
  24. "Can't say I think much of cities, either. Cheaper booze, but of a lesser quality. More greed and violence, though that could be simply a result of having more people."
