  1. Many thanks! As a reward you may slash one item of your quota for this week.
  2. Yes please. Whenever you have a few spare moments.
  3. Excellent job Wouwie! But is the English name a direct translation of the Dutch name?
  4. Well it was certainly tough a choice! We were quite pleased the response so we're going to take 2 Video Editors instead of one! These will be NewRight and Cap'n Blackmoor, and we chose Huntleyfx for our Junior Assistant. Now, I'm going to be so kind as to offer feedback as to why these people were selected: In the case of NewRight and Cap'n Blackmoor, we felt familiar with them because they've been contributing to the Pirate Forum for some time now. When someone posts regularly in the forum we can get to know them a little better and they don't feel like a complete stranger. This also gives us the reassurance they're likely to stick around for the longhaul and not volunteer then disappear after 2 weeks. We've had people like that in the past unfortunately. With Huntleyfx, his previous experience in promotions was certainly an advantage as one day we hope our Junior Assistant can become a Public Representative, obviously somebody with experience has potential to get there faster. So now our New Recruits can visit their welcome thread in the Shipyard and for those who didn't make it, don't dispair! We'll have future recruiting sessions so use the feedback provided to increase your chances for next time. Thank you to all those who participated!
  5. Unfortunately a lot of people won't do that so I've added an image to your first post. REMEMBER! Threads with images in the first post usually get more attention.
  6. And what be your interest in the Whiskey Rebellion? What kind of MOC might you create in the future? By the way... I've posted some pictures of the building in your post since threads with pictures tend to get more attention.
  7. Awww... I wanted to choose cannon. Maybe the thread should have "handheld" in the title.
  8. And this is something that can be attested to in the Return of the Spaniards Poll.
  9. Yeah, just think how many people have contributed to the finish product, from those who designed the set right down the line to those who package it. I think the images in the General's post are in desperate need of resizing...
  10. And we must remember that Redbeard was sailing the seas 20 years ago now, at some point a pirate has to retire and enjoy all the booty he's stashed over the years.
  11. Well he could at least wrote "I agree" or something. We'd rather not have such laziness at Eurobricks. Anyway... I've done some research for Huntleyfx. Huntleyfx, have you visited Wikipedia's Whiskey Rebellion article Here's the intro paragraph:
  12. Please ask questions like that in the Price Quotes for Pirate LEGO Sets thread. And all further discussion regarding that question will take place in the aforementioned thread for anyone who wants to respond.
  13. Broadside, you appear to have quoted Cap'n Blackmoor's post yet haven't written anything beneath it - what were you going to say to him?
  14. Which program did you use to construct this masterpiece?
  15. All newcomers, this is the mighty ZCerberus who is one of the greatest Pirate MOC builders in history! I recommend you check out his previous MOCs including the original Port Brighton, The Phantom, Leviathan, The Arbiter II or just look at all his MOC Threads!
  16. In the beginning you didn't really provide enough information about what you were creating so obviously people aren't going to volunteer until they know what they're getting themself into. That aside, there's not usually much interest for casting calls here anyway. Not everyone is a confident voice actor.
  17. Have you check out our 2009 Pirate Set Reviews? They provide dozens of pictures which examine each the new set in quite horough detail.
  18. I was semi-joking. It could be something we look into for the future but I'm not prepared to research it at this juncture. Don't you get cheeky lad, your mother just told me you forget to wash behind your ears!
  19. An excellent choice indeed!
  20. You've done well! He did very good work on those comics. Now if only we had someone like him to draw illustrations for us...
  21. Yes, that's right! Mister Phes secretly keeps in contact with everyone's parents so behave! It appears I missed this thread when it was creating, given the date I was probably in the middle of my grog fest. The T Shirt seems to have turned out rather well, maybe we should mass produce them.
  22. HAAAA HAAAA!!! Well put it this way, if I was too chicken to work for free then you probably wouldn't be posting in this Pirate LEGO Forum right now. But never mind that. Could you please give us a brief synopsis of your pirate series?
  23. How much do we get paid?
  24. Don't be so sure. In recent times the LEGO Group has taken fan input into consideration, so if they considered a larger ship to be profitably viable then maybe one day it could happen. However, before there can be anymore Pirate sets of any sub-theme, the 2009 pirate sets currently released will need to make strong sales.
  25. Too bloody many! I haven't counted but I'd say over 25. Redbeard seems to be the most saturated Pirate mini-figure and 1994 was the only year he didn't appear in any new sets, so no wonder there is so many of him!
