Greg revealed the traitor to those who haven't seen the movie... good job. Other than that I loved it. A lot. I like the baterra. They're too awesome.

Ok just finished the book. Throughout the book, there are excerpts from "Mata Nui's Diary" which retell the events though MN's eyes. Lots of neat things there, he compares Ackar to Onua in one of them which made me squeal like a fangirl for a second, and it ends the book with one. This is a MAJOR spoiler into next year. I'll try to get some of the trivia and such up tomorrow probably :)

Ah I should have said the most likely candidate was Vezok. It's possible Vezon gets refused, but I don't think that's likely.

It's not Vezon. It's Vezok. :) who is currently a snake

Well the ELs did have personal reasons for wanting it. Everyone wanted it. But it was I believe the Fire EL that was draining the spring which caused the Shattering. Well that's what it says in the book. :\ Actually I think the fact it blew up is old news; I think I remember hearing it before. And we don't know the death match will occur for two reasons: a death match would result in one or both of the 'bots not working. Which would make completing MN's mission impossible. And Mata Nui would not risk hurting BM's inhabitants by battling on top of BM. Keep in mind though that it was a contest to receive on of the only English copies of a book. He needed to use some resource only a hardcore fan would also use. I certainly hope so. Well he had said that one of the reasons he couldn't show them this year was because of the possibility of a "search for the Great Beings" sort of storyline. I don't think this is still going to happen considering he said we will likely never see them. I'm about halfway through the book right now, and when I'm done I'll post some new info about probably each character. :)

It's a surprisingly large book, and my scanner isn't very reliable right now so I'd prefer not to. Maybe later though :) They lead the tribes...? The EL's started the war. The cause of the war was the EP yes, but it was also the EL's greediness. Actually the only one who looks different is Takanuva. Any small differences are again like Titan Mata Nui, who looked completely different from the canister version. AH and one more important thing Greg said: If Mata Nui does take over the prototype, he'll be operating on a time limit. Considering the fact that it blew up the first time, what makes you think it'll work better the second time? Well I don't know if he meant literally pulling them together, possible just restoring Spherus Magna using some other means. But probably meant pulling. I agree. I think that an answer of "I hope not" would be a pretty good one, even though it answers the question just as definitively as "can't answer it". Oh well. Well. I won it mostly by luck. It was a trivia contest. There were four people left. He asked which class the Rock EL was chosen from. I was the only one that got it right; Leader Class. I don't know if that's new but it is to me. Also Tarix one 93 Atero tournaments. 93. They will not be shrunk. Their size change will not be noted in the comics at all. And right now I'm not very far through reading MN's Guide. So far not a whole lot of actual information, just smoothing over. Well if BIONICLE is ending this year, it would make sense to wrap up the mysteries. AND one more thing Greg talked about that may or may not be relevant: he said that if he gets the chance, he'd like to write about Bota Magna. The Agori and Glatorian and other inhabitants would have rejected technology, and merged with the plants to a degree, they would be partly organic, partly mechanical, and partly plant. Also he said he wanted to write about cybernetic dinosaurs. Which I guess proves how likely it is. And the problem Mata Nui had, not paying attention to his inhabitants, is the same problem the GBs had. Which is why they created the ELs. So they wouldn't have to run a planet any more, and could spend their time creating and experimenting. And we probably will never see the Great Beings physical forms. :) EDIT: Although the Great Beings are referred to as "a collection of men and women" in MN's Guide.

Hey I just got back from meeting Greg, got a little bit of info about 2010 when I was there: The Shattering was caused by the Element Lords attempts to use the EP Spring, which lead to the core of the planet exploding Mata Nui's mission was to go around the universe, observe societies so a massive war such as the Core War would not break out again, and then pull Spherus Magna back together The Stars will be a part of the storyline, although their smaller size is like Titan Mata Nui's: not canon. Teridax will be coming to Bara Magna (here's how we get the Stars) Teridax's destiny may or may not have been to take over Mata Nui's body; Greg stated that the real question was whether one robot alone be able to pull three planets together. He could not discuss whether or not 2010 will be the last year of BIONICLE. ALSO: I won the only American copy of Mata Nui's Guide to Bara Magna. Well. The only one until tomorrow. It has quite a bit of information filling in a lot of blanks. I love it. Also very large artwork of all the sets. <3 And I bought the movie finally.

So what exactly are "lamincards"...? ALSO: Greg is coming to my area over the weekend so anyone have questions they want me to ask?
-
This is good to hear. I don't know if you can answer this, but are they winter or summer sets?
-
Oh right I did forget about the feet :) I thought Skrall had the Phantoran claws when I typed that up xD
-
... As well as white Av-Matoran legs. And new white armor. And new white feet. So people complaining about Taka just because he has "no new pieces" should instead look at Skrall, who only has the dual colored Av-Toran arms and Kopaka sword. I love Taka, he's actually one of my favorites. And Greg hated the Vahki, as they had no personality.

The reason we doubt it is because most of us can't read Czech and can't verify it's authenticity. I so hope this happens. But I'm still really sad to know it's ending. But also kinda really really excited too. Or this lol but I really hope that some sort of homages to the past still remain. This is kinda sad. I love the storyline's new direction sooooo much. This really really sucks still. Man. MAN. @SC: I hope no elemental powers. Those things are lame sauce by this point.
-
... or if he got them off of Target. Which wouldn't be yours anyway EDIT: what Omi said lol
-
;_; I have never been so shamed in my life xD But still that's not cool in my book. I don't like them messing the story up (even in serials, Vezon's current exploits being a perfect example) EDIT: Um are the BIONICLE Stars not 2010 sets...?
-
shit that SUUUCKS. WHY BINKY WHY
-
Well it would make sense to have them there, considering they probably will end up being "stars" eventually lol AND he would have a similar construction to the Skrall and Rahkshi lol hoooray?
-
woo more BZP members over here now >.< I think it's just new armor. I actually like this lol but I would like to have real storyline more (just not with the Stars in it)
-
It looks like new legs :D
-
Thanks :) But if it attaches to the back, and the neck is connected to the front...? Wouldn't that basically remove all movements? Or is the connection like the tubing used in the Mahri and Vastus?
-
... unless it's fused at an odd angle. Which is why I'm asking lol I can see the arc between the two pieces, and it really looks connected so I was asking someone who actually had a part in making the sets :)
-
Hey could you confirm whether or not the Rahkshi spine is fused to the head? Because I'm afraid that it is :(
-
As are all of them so far except Skrall.
-
... because they released sets you didn't like? There ARE going to be other, much better, sets (probably). I still think these aren't related to storyline, so I don't see any reason to dislike BIONICLE because of it.
-
FOUR new pieces in this series alone. Off to a great start. :D
