  1. Actually, Greg has stated: 7) I think not, most likely, as I have future plans for him beyond 2008 So yeah. Takanuva next year. It doesn't take place on the Red Star. It doesn't take place on the Surface. I think it was confirmed that the residents could see the Red Star from where they are, but not too sure. That's all I've got.

  3. Yeah, I was really hesitant about her, but she looks SOO much better in hand than in the ToyFair pics. @Grevious: Uh... yeah... you never said why Jaller only has one sword... so yeah... what about that...?
  4. Yeah, BZ's not loadin for me either. Well, I went against better judgement and bought Gorast and Gali just now... and they are worth it. Gali is a very good Toa set... not entirely a great Gali, but still a good set. Seeing as in the Bionicle world, the girls seem to be the burliest, Gali would look very "feminine." The blaster-only works well with Gali, seeing as the Ghost Blasters are great weapons. I think that it's mostly because you can still fire them while the set is holding one, and the fact they are just as light as most close combat weapons. The neck is a problem, but not so much articulation wise. The shortened eye peice really helps with it. The only reason I fixed it was because I like the longer neck, and the fact it looks more consistant with the blue hips if the neck peice is right next to it. Gali's main flaw... hm... that's a tough one... probably the neck thing... and that's really it. She's a great set. :) Gorast is probably my current favorite set to date... She looks terriffic. The backwards torso doesn't really bother me... it might bother some people, but I'm fine with it. The articulation was a big fear for me, but it turns out it's great. If she had longer arms, the second set really would have gotten in the way a LOT. As it is, her lower set of arms works great as manipulators and weapons, and her upper set is great as wings. Her neck is suprisingly good at showing emotion. She looks much more sinister with her head up, as well as feminine, not sure about that, and much more brutal and angry with her head down. Gorast's only flaw, is that her second set of arms are supposed to have the claws turned in toward the body, as apposed to straight out from the hand joint. This, as it would seem, is incredibly easy to fix. If you are going to get one Mistika, make it Gorast. Also, something I should point out: The new sets use a new plastic, that is much tougher and harder to break. I've so far disconnected every joint on gali twice now, and no breakage has occured. It is no doubt still possible, but much more difficult, and has not affected joint strength in the slightest. Hooray!
  5. Woohoo, just got my Mistika, Krika and Tahu, and they rock. Krika is soo cool. The Nynrah's aren't very long distance projectiles, but they make a very satisfying "pop" every time you shoot one. Way cool. Also, they are very light, especially compared to the Midaks. The actual sets are pretty sweet. In all the pictures, Krika looks really gangly. However, in hand he seems much fuller. The back legs are very different from the front... not too sure about that... but the staves are way cool and they are not flexible at all, more solid than other weapons actually. The new armor is very good, and I love the way it looks with his white hips. The main flaw is the arm that holds the nynrah... It makes the head very very wobbly. There is a simple fix to that however, I just don't want to do that right now. Tahu is... Tahu. His arms and legs have a very striking resemblance to his old form, with thin upper segments and thicker lower segments. The jets are very cool, and Ilove the way the wings come out of the top ones. Very very cool. His spinning sheild doesn't spin quite as well as they make it seem... becasue of the way he holds it, the beg rubs against the joint every time it tries to spin. The mask is very neat... not very Tahu like, but still a good mask. The main flaw on Tahu would have to be either the sheild or the claws on his legs. They just out way to far, but they don't effect posability as much as I feared they would. Overall, Tahu seems to fit the character more, but certainly doesn't remind me of his old form (thankfully). I would definately suggest these sets, they are very aesthetically pleasing, and have great articulation. These sets are much better than they appear to be, and are really fun. If for nothing else, get these sets for the great peices they have.
  6. Wait a minute... In this picture, Bitils lid is orange? What the? Why would they make a yellow set have an orange lid? Also, these new sets of images are much more promising. The other set was made of more prototype sets, such as last year's Gadunka with the peeling paint. So: Onua: WIN. He is pretty cool looking. The lack of a weapon really doesn't bother me. He looks good carrying a big gun instead. Seems to fit Onua. Also love the use of new chest armor. He looks good in it. Also love the shoulder shield. Gali: Aside from the fact that she doesn't look feminine, she is great. New armor FTW! I actually like her mask, now that I can see it a bit better. The eye replacement looks much less like a fungal growth, and actually looks good. Her mask also reminds me a little of Matoros Iden. Tahu: This is also win. His shuriken-shield is snazzy. His mask doesn't look like a Hau, but seems much more like a mask of shielding to me. The thick limbs and thin armor seems lame to me, but I guess I'll wait and see. Krika: WOW. He is amazing. I don't like how he has Av-Matoran limbs, but the long claws make up for it. Those pieces will be very useful when I take him apart. When I first saw the piece count on Toywiz, I worried. However, I now see that his structure is very good for 40 pieces. Gorast: She is... kinda lame. The worst out of the bunch, in my opinion. However, I think she should be good with her torso flipped around and some Hahli Inika armor attached. Also hate the Av-Matoran limbs. Except her legs. Those are cool. And her middle pair. Those deserve to be small. But her first pair... should be easily replaced. Bitil: I'm looking forward to this guy. The return of the Mata bent arms gives me great joy. The use of a Av-Matoran body worries me a little, but I think it should be okay... The wing/wing cover things look really cool, and I think they'll be cool folded up too. Well, there's my thoughts on the canister sets. DOn't know about the vehicles and crap, prolly won't get em...
  7. That is exactly what I am saying... also... Krika has a Phankuta attachment thingy. So does s/he have a Matoran for her/him? It would seem really stupid to have those on their, seeing as the Mistuka aren't blind... also, Gorast Bitil has a Vahki head, turned around for her/his neck. :? Gunnar: Uhm... the fact that the plus rods in almost every set is red should be a clue that she has that style of mask...
  8. Good point, however, in this pic, you can see the red in her mask front. :C Also, I think there must be a production reason for the mouth hole, otherwise Ignika would just have used a normal attachment. And the prototype images of the Phantoka were all CG, so...
  9. Aha, now look at the price they have for Vamprah and all the other Phantoka... 12.99... so they are probably normal priced. ;) Also: people, quit complaining! Look at all the nice, snazzy, new peices! This is great! The Toa look like TOA. I like the fact that the Toa now have a unified look with slight variations. Make them look the same species! I like all these sets, especially the Makuta. They look mutated, and pull it off way better than the Hordika, Inika, and Barraki. However, Gali does worry me a little... I see a few flaws... such as the mask. WTF happened to her eye?! It looks like it got bumped down to make room for a strainer! Jeeze! Also, the shoulder armor. I'm not exactly sure if it will stop the arm from bending too far back... I might need to move it down, but that might make the joint weird... AND. A note on the masks. They do not have mouth holes. Every year, every mask has had a little dent in the mouth... even the Phankuta... who actually have mouths, have a dent IN their mouths... Only two have not... until now... and those two have been the dreadful MAXILOS AND IGNIKA. :c I do not want these types of masks! I have sufficient reason to be worried! Meh!
  10. Really? I'm not seeing the top part of it that should be there... and it seems longer... eh. Oh well. We'll have to wait until toy fair to see. :)
  11. That would be nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Lego wouldn't change the piece and try to keep the appearance the same, I'm fairly sure of that. Otherwise we'd have very similar Toa Nuva right now. ;) Also, Onua does seem to have a regualr arm and and a smaller arm, not sure wether this is an Av-Matoran arm or some other arm... also he seems to have new leg pieces... They seem to short to be normal limbs, but not the right shape for Metru or Vahki legs... hm...
  12. Makuta'sdarslave, I actually think Tahu has piraka legs for all of his limbs. Also, I think we might get a new "leg" piece on Gorast. Notice the second part of his leg, it has a joint at the Av-Matoran leg's end. It has a long part, and then another joint. I think that it is not a socket joint, making it a normal thigh joint, but instead a ball. So it would be possibly equivalent to an Av-Matoran limb, only perfectly straight. Maybe?
