  1. That's because they're still preliminary, in fact, I'm pretty sure they are the exact same as what we've already seen. How do "we" know that Drill Dozer used to be a HF robot...? Nitroblast has that same piece on his leg armor, as well as on his torso AND left arm. I'm fairly certain it's just armor.
  2. Are all the pieces now available in LDD? Last I checked only the new armor and joints were. On Furno's arm, I see it says "SUB-0" and what I think is "W8", and beneath that is something I can't read. I don't think it's impossible his name is on there, but I agree that it's probably not likely to be a problem enough. Also, I don't know where you got the information on the "custom-hero-design"? Personally, I don't think "Sub-0" is so ice-specific that you couldn't use it for other things. Which Hero Factory page is the "official" Hero Factory page on Facebook?
  3. I'm glad to hear such confidence. I've been afraid to use my sets like LEGO sets for fear of joint breakage. I'm glad that with more of a move toward the building aspect, away from the action figure aspect using less intricate pieces and such, that the sets will be able to handle it.
  4. The old hand piece is necessary for his claw, so I doubt it will be changed in the final set.
  5. Well, found a new one. Now that the "night" backgrounds are being put up, we should pretty easily find the rest.
  6. 23 Background Time: Night Forecast: "Cloudy and chilly" Message: "Hero Factory Operational Status: Anyone fancy a curry?" (a repeat message??)
  7. 1 2 3 Also, how has no one commented on the GREEN and YELLOW heads of Nex and Furno respectively?
  8. I actually kinda like the pick-axe, but even so I think that it would be the most minor of Fire Lord's flaws. I will of course withhold my final judgment until we get better pics, but currently I see no appeal in this set.
  9. No, from the general shape it's pretty clear (to me at least) that it isn't a Ben 10 torso. Also, as can be seen on Surge, Breez, Evo, and Furno here, there is a joint with the square bumpers right next to the shoulder joint, which is not on the Ben 10 torso, or any torso that's been previously released.
  10. I'm pretty sure the opposite is true- I can't think of any reason why a shortened arm piece would not make the arms shorter. Ah, that makes more sense. Well, that combined with what you can see of Nex's left arm (by his wrist) and Stormer's left leg (inside of his lower leg) armors here, the armor should be quite stable. Oh, I hadn't even thought of that. Also, I just noticed that Surge has Furno / Stormer's weapon attached to Evo's. That's kinda really awesome. These sets just keep looking better and better to me. :D Well, at least the Heroes. The villains look to preliminary for me to appreciate them yet.
  11. I assume you aren't actually referring to Jetbug, because he has no indication of such brackets on his armor, which is the torso armor of the Heroes, but on Nex's arms I can see what you're referring to. I'm pretty sure that they are separate pieces, because there IS no ball joint, and the difference would actually be pretty small and probably hard to notice. I had thought that of the Heroes had armor on one of the shortened pieces, and as such hoped there would be a non-ball joint attaching armor piece, but I was mistaken. Also, you can't see Furno's which is proof that he has the longer pieces, otherwise there would be no way to attach the armor :)
  12. Pretty sure he's referring to the Neo-Shifters' pieces falling off. Which I think is ridiculous, I have had no problems with the Neo-Shifters. Everyone bashes Mega Bloks, which should be unnecessary because LEGO is superior in a lot of ways, but their action figures are actually pretty good, in my experience. Anyway, I think that these sets have a definite LEGO feel, the Heroes certainly more so than the Villains, however, they should look a lot better when they have all their parts finalized and in standard plastic. I kinda want to see those fire pieces finalized, to be specific, because they look like they could be pretty awesome, especially if the fire part can be separated. I'm also a little curious about the joint-attached armor. If it's stabilized, it shouldn't be a problem. And I like pieces having ball joints in the middle of the piece, makes a lot of things a lot easier. I would actually be pretty happy if this became standard for HF, considering the diversity of the armor already. I can identify 3 different pieces of limb armor, as well as the torso armor which the villains show can be attached to the limbs. Quite honestly I hope the rest of the line is compatible with these, stylistically, at least, because it fits so well with other LEGO as a concept. More basic kinds of limbs, with different kinds of basic armor, seems very LEGO-like to me.
  13. Heroes. Villains.
  14. .... PLEASE tell me someone saved those images. I feel so left out ;_; Never mind, found 'em somewhere else. Anyway. I'm a little bit unsure about them. I like the new limb pieces, but the overall appearance seems a lot more childish to me. Overall, I'd say the appeal of the new pieces outweighs the childishness (which may be even just be due to the quality of the CGI, which would also explain why the heads and hands look different, unless they actually are new pieces)
  15. Meltdown and Corroder are definitely the best of the $13 villains. Thunder or XPlode are both pretty average, poor by comparison. Thunder because of his claw-arm. The claw is too weak, and the Inika armor is super annoying. XPlode... just doesn't work very well for me. His armor is better when you put it up against his arms a little closer, but it's still... off.
  16. Definitely Thornax and Rhotuka. Then probably Kanoka. The Thornax launchers are amazingly good looking, they are the some of the only launchers that I have actually kept on a set after I built it (I removed Cordak, Nynrah, and Midak launchers because they way down the sets a lot, and look terrible); they are a simple build, but a build nonetheless; they can fire multiple kinds of projectiles; oh and they have been used two years in a row now (with recolors in fact). The Rhotuka have many of the same qualities, simple, small, mostly hidden from view, etc. They are also a lot more fun to launch, as Bfahome said they make the most satisfying sound when they launch. Kanoka are the first real "launcher" and so I have a fondness for them. Also, they were very effective and didn't ruin a set's appearance. I also liked all the colors of them (unfortunately I only have a brown one aside from the standard silver). The disks themselves were also great because Throwbots / Slizers and McToran could throw them. I also like the Tridax, but I don't think it's much of a "launcher". Either way, it was nice to see something like that actually built into the main part of the set. The red cores of the Phantoka Makuta were awesome, and I hope there will be something like that at some point in the future.
  17. If the armor were attached like that, it would look ridiculous. The connection point for the armor is at the bottom of the piece, while the connection point for the sideways pinhole long double socket is halfway down the piece. So the armor would rise too high and the elbow would look even more awkward than it does as is. I think that using one of these attached to the back of the socket, with the armor then connected to the other connection point would work pretty well to reduce hollowness.
  18. Remember the couple of pages of comic we got a while ago? Well, the whole thing is now up on the HF website.
  19. Aanchir: It's a new color. Not just a new version. What Dunkan and Surge have seems to be a new "version" but it's totally compatible with old silvers. The new silver is drastically different.
  20. It's not the new silver, I am comparing it to Thunder. Mark and Duncan have a silver that is very slightly different from the silver in the Glatorian Legends, but not the new shade of silver found in Thunder.
  21. Dunkan and Mark both have the new silver. I have them in hand right now. Ha nevermind I'm dumb. They don't.
  22. Peronally, I find Stormer to be a better figure. His weapon arm is much fuller than Bulk's. Even though it's more hollow on the inside. Also, I would think that black limbs would be more versatile for MoCing purposes than blue ones (but maybe I'm just not very knowledgeable on the subject). So I would suggest the opposite, Stormer as the figure and Bulk for parts. Either way, they are both great, and Zip, you won't be making a wrong decision. :)
  23. Yup, except on the actual HF website now. Also, all the sets are available on S@H in the US now.
  24. Exactly half of the hands in my Kaxium set have the new hands, so do Surge and Furno. Stormer, Breeze, Bulk, and Stringer all have the "old" style hands.
  25. I don't think what I said came out sounding as hopeful as I meant it haha. Anyway, apparently the villains have hit the US. I'm probably gonna check out my local TRU on Monday or Tuesday next week, see if I can pick up some of them and post a review :) I'm thinking Corroder and Thunder as the number one priorities for me, but I'm not sure yet. Any suggestions? I think you mean #6852, and because they are attachments non-members still can't view them :\
