Ok yeah I like these. SMALL SETS / HEROES: Awesome. Awesome. People in mechanized suits? Hell yeah. I love the helmets on 'em. And the new limbs and new torsos. And it seems the legs are just the arms w/ new armor. And it's likely the torso is *2 pieces yaay* CANISTER SETS / BAD GUYS: A little under-armored it seems. Corroder and Meltdown both seem to use Av-Toran or the new prebent limb pieces. And they all seem to use the new torso. Thunder and Xplode are the only ones with armor for it though >.< Speaking of which. Xplodes construction intrigues me. The most unique out of the set of 10 (canisters and impulse) The others I cannot see well enough to make good opinions on.

If only he had pictures of pages 68-70...! With any luck someone else will though... Ok so this looks REALLY good to me. New torsos on all the "impulse" sets I believe. Possibly for the 4 medium sized sets as well. 7145 & 7162 both look amazing... hope they are on opposing sides! The lack of massive launchers pleases me, and the chance of reused Thornax launchers even more so. :D I totally want better pics right now. Looks like I'm gonna be out of money this summer...

Basically. In the comic Mata Nui even says it was Makuta's destiny to help MN recombine Spherus Magna. And seriously the prototype robot looks like it was made for him.
-
Anyone else totally loving how awesome it is that each of the robots is designed to be piloted by the other pilot?

If I'm not mistaken that was what Front had suggested. And I actually would prefer it if Ben 10 were in with BIONICLE. Considering it is a branch of the replacement line.

Woah I love all this new stuff! Speaking of new stuff. I received my order of all six Stars today, from Toys R Us. Not sure if I'll be able to give in depth reviews, but I might be able to get some pics up on Saturday. A couple of things I want to say: TAKANUVA IS SOOO BORING. Like. He's definitely the most boring set I have. If they had packed a gold Avohkii the set would have been alright. One thing must be said about him though. He is actually pretty well built. I like his bulkiness. Other than that he is almost the worst set. Thankfully for him there is the Skrall. This is the funkiest looking set I have ever seen. Tuuuurkey neck. A useless one at that. These two are, thankfully, more than made up for by the other four. Tahu and Nektann are both amazing. Gresh and Rahkshi are pretty good. Not quite as good as Tahu, but certainly better than any of the Agori. Tahu is just so amazing. Even though structurally he is almost the same as Gresh, the nostalgic angle was played extremely well. Even though the Hau is about the same size as MN's Ignika, it is truly a Hau. And its shape actually makes the Av-Toran head seem so much less awkward. And the gold armor? Amazing. Nektann is also fantastic. As can be seen in Front's "review" of sorts... Also it might also be of note that these sets come across to me like exactly what people liked about the old sets; they are pretty nice aesthetically. I think they will look great on a shelf, even if it is kinda hard to set them up in action poses. Also the pieces are pretty awesome. I like the new armor pieces, both Tahu's and Gresh's. I could totally see someone making a little monster out of Gresh's. Overall, not a bad way to end the series. Obviously could have done a lot better, though.

Am I misunderstanding something, or are they only $7.99? o.O

I figured as much but I thought I'd be helpful and offer a suggestion :P

... the replacement line?
-
To be honest I'm a little confused as to why so many people are sad about this? I grew up with BIONICLE, so obviously I'm rather fond of it. But there is still the storyline going on! And the replacement line will certainly be at least as good as the current sets, so really the only difference will be that the "sets" won't be related to the story. Which frees up A LOT of things Greg has always been restricted by. Also, because the story won't be based on selling sets any more, it's possible the story will mature a bit more. With the "target audience" almost entirely removed from the storyline now, it won't be a concern. And for those of you who think the storyline has become to complicated, well. There's probably going to be a new one for the replacement line (probably), and LEGO is smart enough to NOT have two intricate stories going on at the same time. And most likely the story will "wrap up" enough this year that a fan could contentedly leave it. So I'm very happy to see where this goes. As a BIONICLE lover for the last 10 years, one who would be no doubt genuinely upset if anything truly major were to occur, I give LEGO my approval of this.

I have a pretty good probability of getting all the Stars on Wednesday. But we'll see. Second. A Hau location would be awesome. Also. The arm isn't actually bent, just angled funny. I think.
-
And Gelu's location is currently unknown, although it was recently confirmed he is alive. Raanu was used by the Great Beings to retrieve a small amount of EP so it could be used in the construction of Mata Nui. Metus worked as a trainer for the Core War. Certavus, Tarix, Ackar, and Vastus were the primary Glatorian who helped create the Glatorian system. One of the main reasons the Skrall and Rock Tribe was a massive baterra attack on one of their fortresses in the Black Spike Mountains, disguised as a shipment of logs. Atakus' "hero" is Stronius, and he also made first contact with Metus. And there's more info on basically every character.

I agree with every bit of this post. Especially the MN Guide. It rocks.

Warrior Queen Iidw'ardla & Gurgaz'ureenba the Royal Seer
The Dor replied to Bundalings's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Oh these are nice! I particularly like the - OH MY GOD IS THAT CREED But really. I like Gurgaz'ureenba a lot. The queen looks pretty basic compared to him. I also like the unity I see between these two. And I love how well it fits the theme. Good job! :D -
Ah. So how noticeable is it in hand?
-
Could you possibly get a comparison pic?
-
I think that BIONICLE's awesomeness has certainly fallen some (not counting '09... man). I think a clean start would make the replacement awesome. So I'm excited for this.

No he is not, but Piraka is a familiar name with fans. and those who it's not familiar with don't care. So like I said. It's worth putting on the container that he is, even though technically he is not. And I wouldn't be surprised if Greg simply made him a "Piraka" so the fans wouldn't be as confused >.<
-
Most likely because the Piraka were the ones who sold well, not Nektann. So it would make sense to market him as such.
-
Am I the only one who thought that the Tahu "projection" is, in fact, a projection? Maybe related to the message Tren Krom is sending?
-
Riddle of the Great Beings leads to one of the most disappointing endings in the entire history of disappointing endings. Like maaan. That is exactly the reason Greg used when he was visiting; the story team wanted them to always remain mysterious.
-
GB's will NOT be appearing. Well. They won't be shown. Greg confirmed that he wants to but the story team will not let him.
-
I think so too, because those were the only three that were produced by 2007.
-
I totally don't care that someone didn't feel like reading nearly 1500 posts for that small bit of unconfirmed information. We highly suspect it, yes. But right now all we can say is that the Stars will be coming out next year. They will have storyline roles. Teridax is coming to BM. That's really about it. And it's very likely that the third BIONICLE movie could have been transferred to "The Lego Adventures" within the years since the contract was made.
-
Greg had said that there was a reason the Proto blew up. So Mata Nui would be working with a time limit. Which is different.
