  1. alot of sets this size (that arent licensed) usually have a brick price point at .06-.08 cents a brick. Even RealMadrid Soccer Stadium was .067 and Boutique Hotel .074. This one is sitting at almost .09
  2. With all the basic bricks of plain grey and how basic this set is (in general, i love it though), this set should have been 299.00. I still bought it of course, but it was a very basic set with no licensing cost (artificial inflation of cost). My only dream/nightmare about this is that maybe they will have it on sale so i can get many more copies, but then never produce anymore castle... a catch 22. If they ever do a GWP that is another castle Homage set, i will buy this immediately.
  3. when they have a double or triple i will turn in my point and get it for the second time.
  4. not in orlando, just came back - got some S22 though!
  5. 209 for the 5500 piece barcelona... wondering if thats a good deal
  6. yeah it was easy to compute...it makes people think "oh wow! i'm getting 2600 points on triple points day!!! umm thats just $16
  7. Is this in response to the email i received a couple days ago that i can "now use" my points at the register instead of having to do the unnecessary thing of having to redeem them for some code for redemption that i could then enter into the purchase online or take with me to the store?
  8. @Robert8 just noticed a typo in your original series Z post "The color god was chosen...." I'm sure you meant Gold I would love to see a final post with all the customs that you designed that saw a "randomly" designed CMF sometime after you posted your designs.
  9. with all the extra CMF figures produced i don't know why they dont do a set like this with 2 ravens or 2 green knights 1 Fright Knight, 1 heroic knight, the troubadour and the jester? Shoot they just redid falcon and forestman, so they could actually remake this exact set lol... i wonder what the Price would be on this This set was originally $6.75 in 1988, inflation calc says $16.75, but i would bet they would price it at $19.99 - the ninjago 4 packs were 12.99 and the clone trooper 3 pack was $14.99 but came with a small craft.
  10. what pic of their BAM station?
  11. Dont you put set limits on items that you produced low quantity so more people can get it and try to pre-emptively block people from buying what they want? I'd rather there not be set limits and if someone wants to purchase 10 more power to them.
  12. YHeah i juggle Lego, MAGIC (MTG) and Board Games and Woodworking. My hobbies rob me all the time.
  13. You are missing the most important faction of all - the axemen (crusaders) Even though there is some possible link that Lion Knights and Crusaders were part of the same faction, i always played it as if it was a Brother of the king faction splitting the kingdom in some ways against the lion knights. I had alot more axemen and black falcons then any other faction so i actually played them as good guys and the lion knights were a tyrant style kingdom. I played the Royal knights as an evolved kingdom of lion knights maybe 100 years in difference, though technically i never played with them together.
  14. I feel your pain... all the stuff in lots I come across are SW, HP, Friends or bionicle... ugh.
  15. My sons kid who is 6 loves fire trucks and city stuff. I think they do buy him some marvel stuff, but mostly cause it can somewhat fit into town/city. He did just buy the castle sets so we'll see how that goes. basically i turned a parent who buys legos for his kids into an AFOL that he is now buying sets "for his kids" lol.
  16. I disagree. If you are an AFOL between 35 and 55 (which from their own surveys make up a high percentage of their customer base) You grew up with space, town and castle and maybe technic ('82) or pirates ('89) or trains ('86) as your main theme... that was it. Star wars didn't show up until 1999. Now you could be a 25 year old AFOL who was born in 97 who was 2 when the first star wars theme came out and you grew up with all these licensed themes, but your disposable income to be spent on lego is significantly less then a 45 year old by all available data. So castle just by sheer factor of scale has to be a profitable theme. Now the over production of crap castle in late 90s can lead to unprofitable sales for a theme which could lead a company to conclude its dead. (SEE HE-MAN as a case study $400 million in sales in '86 to 7 million in '87 talk about devastating)
  17. I joined the GFLUG this past month. It seems on the up and up. Active and i paid the membership fee and communicated with a few of the members so far.
  18. Yes BAM has always been that way. This is nothing new, lol.
  19. I wanna clarify i wasnt talking about this series as having 2 or 3 out of 12 that i desire a letdown... It was with boxes and only 2 or 3 out 12 desirable for me - boxes are a huge letdown.
  20. I got some of the Masonry bricks in 2014... yes on the staff
  21. Interesting. The larger plates were there on jun 25th cause i posted a flickr pic showing that i got them then, however perhaps they were gone and then replenished. Over the past 14 years that i have been going to the DowntownDisney/Disney Springs Orlando store this is the worst its been, though i had a hiatus from 2016-2019 then 2021. The BAM towers and walls in NJ and Pennsylvania that i visited last month put this "Flagship" store to shame. I can't believe that the person who would be in charge of ordering the pieces on Wednseday when the inventory is available, isn't able to get even basic blocks like 1x2 Masonary Profile LBG or even plain 1x3 black or plain 1x3 arches. The fact that the BAM towers are looking empty is bad practice for this store.
  22. yeah with only 2 or 3 out of 12 that i would even want this is a huge letdown.
