  1. It's finally finished! It took me about a year to finish, so I'm glad it's done. ----------- The redcoats have finally built up enough funds to build the ultimate caribbean fortress. As another beautiful day on the island passes by, the soldiers play cards, push each other into the water, and build sandcastles. Hopefully for them there aren't any pirates in the area! Our Admiral. Zorro gave me this bluecoat a while back, so I thought I would use it to honor him. Many more pictures on my Flickr page. Thanks!
  2. Eurobricks member Brick Tamland has written a very nice review of the new Pirates of the Caribbean set 4194 Whitecap Bay. Read and discuss this exciting new set in the Pirate Forum!
  3. Reviewers Academy teacher JimButcher has written a fantastic review of the new Pirates of the Caribbean set 4193 London Escape. Read and discuss in the Pirate Forum.
  4. Wow, thanks for the great review JimB! Normally I wouldn't frontpage a set review that already has one done, but this one is too good to pass up. I quite like this set. Those new bottles are lovely.
  5. That combo looks very nice. I'll move this to the MOCs forum.
  6. Oops, I forgot to move this to the Pirate MOCs forum. I'll move it now.
  7. I do know what you mean, but it also would clutter up the forum if we had a thread for each set. However, that is the perfect use for the set reviews that we have now for the sets. That is a good place to discuss a certain set.
  8. Rumble Strike brings us a very nice review of the Pirates of the Caribbean set 4183 The Mill. Read the great review and discuss the set in the Pirate Forum!
  9. Whew, the frontpage is certainly getting plenty of Pirates of the Caribbean action! Jammiedodger brings us yet another review, this time of 4192 The Fountain of Youth. Read and discuss in the Pirate Forum!
  10. Member Jammiedodger has written a nice review of the new Pirates of the Caribbean set, 4182 The Cannibal Escape. Read the review and discuss the set in the Pirate Forum!
  11. Here's a tutorial. Link. The same concept applies to websites like Flickr and Photobucket as well.
  12. Clever use of that rock head TMC. It's funny to see it as a "large object", considering it normally looks so puny. There are lots of nice details in this, I particularly like the clouds. Thanks for sharing!
  13. This doesn't really need to be a thread by itself. All of the PoTC discussion belongs in the PoTC thread, so if there is news, you'll see it there for sure. Closed.
  14. I like it because of the amount of nice new pieces like the globe, map, etc. Sets like these are almost never good because of their design, mainly for the parts. Thanks for the review Brickster! You've been frontpaged again.
  15. They just keep coming! TheBrickster has brought us another great Pirates of the Caribbean review, this time of the 4191 Captain's Cabin. Read the great review in the Pirate Forum!
  16. Nice work guys! Sorry I couldn't help out this year. You can be proud, most people just don't have the time or patience to build so many entries. I know that after last year I was totally burned out for a while. While I wouldn't trade the experience for anything (well, maybe not anything. ), if I hadn't done it, I wouldn't have felt too bad. I really liked your guys' MOCs, you represented EB well.
  17. Ok, I get the point! I do agree with you though, I'll take care of it.
  18. Another new POtC review! This time TheBrickster shows us his take on the 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge. Check it out and discuss in the Pirate Forum!
  19. Great review Fangy! I like this set a lot, although I am quite disappointed that the gold bars are pearl gold and not chrome. The box is very misleading, and TLG has really let me down in that regard. That being said, the minifigs in the set are excellent, and I will certainly still try to pick one up.
  20. Our great reviewer WhiteFang has given us an excellent new review of one of the brand new Pirates of the Caribbean sets, 4181 Isla De Muerta. Read the in-depth review and discuss it in the Pirate Forum!
  21. His login name was actually already Keybobs, so he should be able to just use that. And who is Edrie?
  22. No problem Keybobs, I'll do it. Annnndd, done.
  23. Welcome to the team Mr. Croissant! I look forward to having you help us out. I'm sure you'll do a great job!
  24. Welcome to the site Walter! These are some really nice vigs, you clearly have a good MOCing ability. The first one is my favorite with the rushing water, but the other ones are fantastic as well. I particularly like the arches in the second one; the added detailing really makes them pop. Your pictures show off the creations perfectly, too. I eagerly await seeing some more MOCs from you in the future.
  25. I have the same problem with a few of mine, I think in lime green... I don't think it has too much to do with the temperature of the surroundings; my pieces are at pretty stable temps.
