  1. Happy birthday Rasamataz! Hope you have an excellent day.
  2. Yeah, Captain Blackmoor accidently merged the topics before he saw that I said we'll leave it. I'll see what I can do to separate the two, but otherwise I'll just rename this back to POTC Discussion. EDIT: I got the two separated again, I'll rename this back to what it was.
  3. That was pretty funny Def. I was surprised how many believed it.
  4. I'll leave this, rather than merging it. These pictures are a little different, and some people might like to see the NYTF pics in a separate topic anyway without looking through the whole thread.
  5. Sure. But we would prefer if you don't use the bluecoat or redcoat ones, so there isn't too much spam like "bluecoats/redcoats are better".
  6. That picture is probably unfortunately a sticker though. The window piece is indeed new.
  7. I would definitely say somewhere in the Caribbean, or maybe South America. That's what I always assumed anyway.
  8. My guess for the Penelope Cruz fig would be that there is a small stud on top of the hair piece. I might be wrong though. I'm definitely more excited for these than I was from just looking at prelims. The larger sets definitely are a little bit sparse, but the sheer amount of new pieces really gets me excited. The sword holders, bottles, hair pieces, gold bars, etc. all look very nice.
  9. Wow, thanks so much for sharing Derfel! The detailed work on the building is superb. It's amazing how you made such a monochromatic building look outstanding, just by the textures. I can't wait to see more.
  10. Definitely. I'll edit it now.
  11. I'll merge this.
  12. Thanks to all participants! You guys made it a really fun event.
  13. Hi, Phyllis! For an old story I told, not sure who it's from.
  14. This is pretty similar to this thread.Link I will merge the two after a few hours.
  15. I'm going to miss you my friend. :-(

    HMS Ares

I'll rename it for you Aalak.
  17. I like this a lot because it is simple, yet it has just enough interesting details like the curved wall, birds, and the lovely roofs to make it stand out. Nice one!
  18. That's beautiful ISC and Brickster. Really nice work.
  19. First of all, my condolences to Dieter's family and friends. Dieter, I owe much of what I have here on Classic-Pirates and Eurobricks to you. You were the one who invited me to work on the blog, which really pushed me to do more for the community. I still remember when you sent me my first pirate minifigures, a redcoat and a bluecoat, for free. Even when the first ones got lost in the mail, you sent me two more. That just shows how good of a person you were. Every time you chatted with me, sent me a PM, or posted something on the forum, you were always friendly, helpful and funny. Although I regrettably never had the chance to meet you in person, I feel that I got to know you very well just from the internet. It was a pleasure working with you, and the whole community will still feel your presence in future contests, because of all you have done to collect prizes for the site. We will all greatly miss you, but we will never forget what you have done for us, and the whole LEGO community. Let us all raise one final glass of Zorro's famous rum for our friend Dieter...
  20. Usually I only do if it has wheels, or if it's a ship of some sort. I definitely enjoy rolling some cars around once in a while. You can't do a whole lot though with some of the more minifig-oriented sets.
  21. I already merged this, and you just posted it again. Closed.
  22. This isn't really anything new. I'll merge it with the PoTC thread.
  23. Excellent! Always nice to hear feedback.
  24. Really nice work on this 74louloute! Even if you copied the stone technique, it still looks beautiful. The round tower is clever, because it is something different to look at. Another smart thing you did was to out the middle building at an angle. If that building had been straight, the MOC might have looked a bit too symmetrical, but this way it looks superb. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the water. The transitions between the different colors looks a bit odd, because of the square shapes of the tiles. You might try altering the heights of some of the tiles, or adding a rock or two in the water, just to break up the repetitive pattern a little. Overall though, I like this very much. Thanks for sharing!
  25. Haha! I better not click on your profile. Who knows what kind of video link will be waiting for me.
