Well if we are allowed to work as a group on this challenge as has been asked, maybe we should team up... I haven't started building yet but I have it built already in my mind. It would really make for an interesting challenge should there ever be a group effort required...

I had an idea but then I couldn't figure out where to put it on the map to be more accessible for all the other guilds. Then I came up with the following idea but then I thought I better check to see if this would even be feasable as an entry. So here is a sample of my idea... Guild name: Skislandor – It is not known when sentient races first settled on the floating rock islands that are now known to collectively be called Skislandor. It is also not known what force holds the giant rocks up in the sky. However it must be noted that the rock islands only float over desolate areas of Historica. The ground beneath lies broken and jagged as if at some time in the long distant past the rocks were forcefully pulled from the ground. The rocks themselves vary in size from a few cubic meters to several million cubic meters. Guild location: In the sky over desolate areas of the other four Guilds. Capitol and Ruler: Quilli is the capitol of Skislandor and is made up of a cluster of large floating rocks. It is located above a large group of islands off the western coast of Kaliphlin. Skislandor is ruled by Asho Kalani who has only recently ascended to the throne after his father, Akos Kalani abdicated due to old age. Unique characteristics: resilient against magic, excellent at riding flying creatures. Color Scheme: Blue and Yellow – blue representing the sky and yellow representing the sun which forever shines on Skislandor. (PHOTO) Leader: Asho Kalani leads the scattered colonies that make up the Skislander Guild. He is a new leader and hopes to end Skislandor's age old policy of isolation. However many of the leading houses oppose his plans to place Skislandor on the map. Kalani believes that Skislandor cannot remain in isolation forever and that now is the right time to begin incorporating itself in the affairs of the rest of Historica (PHOTO) 20x20 vignette showing the “flavor” of Skislander. Same here, got all the basic guild info on paper... now just have to translate it into LEGO. -
Most excellent story! Hope to hear more of your adventures, now that you have arrived in Kaliphlin.

Well done! I myself also have a mosaic project in the works but it is totally none GoH related and won't be done for some time...

I agree it is an outstanding idea, however I borrowed it from someone else. I cannot remember who, as it was a few years ago that I saw it. If any one knows, feel free to let me know so I can give credit for the idea. This design is however mine. @kabel- I have links in the first post to all the issues so you do not have to search through all the comments. @all other commentators- Thanks for your comments! @DaMaximus- You did succeed in making my sigfig! I picked him out of the group right away.

Nice job!

I'll have to agree with that lol... I think one of the main things that make this stand out besides being above the clouds is how you made the woven roof.

Beautiful micro Gabe!

Issue #5 by Clive Harper Beaches of Kaliphlin Elementals and weather ruining your vacation? Come to Kaliphlin where we have the finest beaches in Historica. Watch the sun rise each morning while listening to the sea waves rolling up to shore and sipping on your favorite cold beverage. Think paradise... Kaliphlin paradise. Mikel has sent me news that he has observed a large Vampyre army on the march during his journey into the deep tunnels of Nocturnus with Lord DaMaximus and the Alleenridders. Where they are marching to or what is their purpose, he was not able to say. I will now finish my series on Legends of Historica. A Legend of Avalonia: The Forest King The Forest King also known as the Protector of the Forest is a favorite tale told to Avalonian children. He is said to protect all that is in the forest and should you lose your way, he will see to it that you find your way back again. That is unless you are of malevolent purpose, in which case you will most likely never be seen or heard of again. It is not known whether such a being exists or even what he looks like but it is common for artists to portray him as a jovial grandfatherly type with a golden crown with a magnificant pair of antlers. He is often portrayed holding a giant hammer with which he dispenses the fury of the forest on those who wish to cause harm to the forest. A Legend of Mitgardia: The Valkyrie The Valkyrie is said to ride the clouds and to descend on those fallen in battle to carry off the brave and noble to a paradise beyond the skies. It is also claimed by some that have battled in the snowy peaks of the far north that at times the Valkyrie will even intervene on the battlefield and prevent the death of a brave and noble person. Whether this is a halucination caused by the thin air at those altitudes or is true, all tales are unanimous in portraying the Valkyrie as a beautiful female warrior.

Nice ship! The color scheme gave me an idea to improve my trader!
-
Nice little tavern! If I'm ever in the area, I will be sure to stop by...
-
Nice color usage! I think you did a great job with the back of the burnt out house with the greys. Nice elemental as well!
-
Great MOC! Like others, I really like the color scheme of the large house!
-
Truly a unique idea with the floating islands! I really like the ground from the sky perspective! Good job!
-
Nice MOC! Volcano and house being demolished I think are the highlights!
-
Great MOC! Love how all the characters are placed in action! Cool elemental and farm as well!
-
Nice elemental and "fleeing' scene!
-
Awesome entry! Really great idea you built here!
-
This is a REAL piece of art! I bet you could actually auction it off if you wanted! Totally unexpected but totally awesome!

Thanks for all the comments! This "sprinkled" water brick technique is one that I'm canning. A little too random for my style. But it was interesting to try. I'm going to have to find a way to get more 1x1 rounds in a variety transparent blues cheaply so I can actually build what I envisioned for the sea. We are feeling better! Another couple days we should be back to normal... Fortunately due to an unexpected illness, my ship did not set out with the fleet... Unfortunately though, it seems the fleet did not survive the assault....

And when I have thought I've seen the best I come across yet another amazing entry! I really like your elemental idea and how you brought your concept to life! Great job!
