My, my! The Avalonians have launched attacks at Nocturnians and now Mitgardians... Are Kaliphlins next? Nice build!
-
Nice tower/cave! Nice touch with the wall crenalations! Might help to post some closer pics as I see quite a few characters but not sure who is attacking who.
-
Nice little vig! The hunter looks quite happy but I really do wonder how much meat he will find on such a tiny bird....
-
This is a really great MOC! And the story made me lol! (At least the part where Ragnar woke up)
-
Excellent job! Like Ecc, I really like the design of the half bridge and you have quite a few interesting details that get my mind thinking about different piece usage.
-
Nice MOC! Definately looks like the port of Mpya Stedor.

Don't forget we have the second semester of the University Challenge. I recently had a brain storm for my castle build which will eventually be 5 32x32 by 3 32x32. Right now only 2 32x32 by 2 32x32 is more than 3 bricks high (most of which is at 23 bricks high) but I've got the base laid out for the entire plan already. Varlyrio challenge gave me the inspiration for this so look forward to an expanded version of my Varlyrio entry. I also need to finish my The Path to Kakushi-shō but lost inspiration after working on the rocks which have been modified several times already. I'm still mulling over some ideas for the final challenge but I fear time may prevent me from creating an entry I am completely satisfied with being 3 MOCs are required. First time I've seen anyone list that as good news I think... -

Thanks for taking the time to do this Kai! My character info should be listed on the wiki. I think that unless we get exact dates of the official storyline (ie:Vicktor Revolword) an exact calender will be kind of hard to use collectively. Probably the best solution will be a more genral time stamp like "In the year that Victor Revolword captured Cedrica". -
Wow! I honestly didn't expect to win this with all the other excellent entries. Its made my day!

Well executed desert scene! Great job!

Nice little scene! Keep them coming!

Nice build and interesting continuation of the story! I really do wonder what the robbers want with Raz....

Great continuation of the story and nice rock build! Glax, Fleh, Zhax & Steefth Kaloreslahv have been a great help to Mikel in his research and without them he may not have survived an encounter with one of the mythical beasts he has rediscovered. Mikel will keep Lord DaMaximus informed and should he succeed in finding a certain beast of lore, he will send them in defense of Mpya Stedor.- 11 replies

That is looking really awesome DaMaximus! I'm still working on the Kakushi-shō project, but still working on the rocks. I have found out that good large rock builds are very tedious and boring and I'm going to try to avoid it as much as possible in the future. This made me take my castle project back to the drawing board and now it is laid out similar to DaMaximus's city (architecture is different). So I guess that means that I will be returning to Barqa... howbeit using Bishop Jamon's character as leader of the Knights of Aslan. Mikel Kalores is still traveling, researching mythical beasts and races, Masa is with the Phantom Legion headed for battle against Victor Revolword's forces, so the only character free to build in Kaliphlin is the good Bishop. Evidently the elemental attacks were a boon to the Knights of Aslan, as donations have significantly increased. Construction has begun on a new fortress guarding the mouth of Arkbri River and is making excellent progress. Kalores Castle still lies in ruins after the elemental attack (Haven't had time to photo it). -
Nice job! I think I agree that this is your best build yet. Also nice job on portraying Masa! I recognised him imediately.

I picked up 2 but didn't really pay much attention to them. Now that you pointed out that they have the brick bricks, I might pick up a few more. -

Well I'm sure I'll be checking by every so often especially to keep up to date with the GoH advent calender which btw you have done some really great micro builds! But I'm afraid I won't have much time to do much posting as that happens usually only during slow times at work. (still holding out on myself to get internet back at the house- kind of don't want to go back to the way it was when we had internet at the house, wife on her computer and me on mine all the time. Home is now kind of a break from the neverending draw of the interweb and I kind of like it that way) As for sets for Christmas... I guess I celebrate christmas year round usually when I can get the best deal... so I'm probably going to wait for after new year before I buy any more LEGO. I'm probably most looking forward to the CM series 9, LoC, and a couple of the 2013 Ninjago sets. Concerning this years sets, I'm hoping for at least a 20% discount before I buy the Hobbit and any more LoTR sets. -

Well it looks like I won't be able to frequent GoH any longer until after the new year as my holiday calender is looking extremely packed this year for both home and work (and its looking kind of dead on here anyways ) So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone should I disappear until after the new year! -
I definately am interested! I had some ideas I didn't find the time to build.

Thanks! You got me thinking of some possible techniques. I could use a solid 8x16 plate and then cover it in different colored ( ) along with 1x2 and 1x1 plates. Then on the third layer, use the trans tiles. I might see what colors I have available and try different combos. Once I finish my intro MOC I'm thinking of posting the project either here or in its own topic and using feedback I get to finish it. Kind of an interactive project. I think that will help me stay more focussed and also get some ideas I wouldn't have thought of myself. And yes my reply did get deleted. I didn't think so but didn't know for sure as the only LEGO store I've been able to visit never had any great pieces others have found in their local stores. -
Thanks everyone for the comments! Well the last one I did, I labeled as Kaliphlin but a lot of the figures could have been used for other guilds as well. Link is here.

Thanks rogueang! I personally thought this is one of my best builds yet but evidently the title doesn't sound that exciting so it didn't get as many views as some of my inferior builds...

Glad you guys liked it! I went back and looked at the first tower I posted here and I'm thinking that in another year or so I will see so many things here that I could have improved. -

Thanks Gedren_y & NM! I was able to read your posts before they got deleted (evidently???). I wasn't able to reply until now as I was busy but Gedren_y if you could message me or post again so I can make a note of that type of stone you were talking about. Also thanks for the replies Eric Su and Kai, I had replied but it got deleted and yes it is an elevated bridge but probably will end up being an entry way... and just for the info that is not part of the MOC that I'm working on but one of the supporting vigs that may turn into MOCs in their own way. Btw, anyone know where I can get dark bluish gray 3x2 normal slopes for a decent price? I don't think they are sold in PAB are they? Thats the brick I ran out of with my new rock design.
