  1. Great entry! So many nice details tucked into this build!
  2. Nice MOC! You have some great elements here. The crane and nest, chimney smoke, and the roofs are all well done!
  3. Great build! Nice use of techniques like the tiled wall and alternating brick corners. Also really like the window technique as well....
  4. Ok, I'm going to revise my earlier comment. Something was buggging me but I couldn't figure out what it was. After viewing this in the context of the Valholl thread, I think that it was not the ornateness that bothered me, but that the design does not seem to reflect the rest of Valholl. I went back and looked at your Silmeria and I think this tower would fit in perfectly there.
  5. It has been done back in February, I believe, but I agree with you, rogueang deserves another round of applause as it is an impressive job he has done keeping track of all the MOCs...
  6. Free builds gain points/darics for their respective guilds. LDD does not seem to be encouraged but neither is it prohibited except for challenges. If it is your sigfigs castle, I would post it here in GoH, who knows maybe the powers that be will look more favorably on LDD after your build...
  7. It won't score your guild any points from what I can understand of GoH rules but if it is relevant to your GoH story, please do post it here in GoH. I usually bypass the History forum so I miss a lot of things there. And DaMaximus has done LDD for his city, I have posted concepts for my projects in LDD before as well, not sure if anyone else has...
  8. Hard to tell for sure as I can't picture what it will look like when its finished but it does look to have good potential. I do hope you cap it off on the ends with curved plates though.... @Magnus -When I was still ten or eleven I probably would have done nothing but fleshies... In fact I probably would have done a yellow head purge and traded them all in for fleshies. Fortunately fleshies came around while I was in the dark age. However I now favor yellow heads.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys! And sorry for the dark photo quality, my picture taking has been limited to indoors as daylight hours are shortened and it is dark usually whenever I'm home.
  10. Welcome to Kaliphlin Magnus! Just a side note on the fleshy head... I call all my fleshy minifigs "invadors". Anyway nice backstory and looking forward to seeing some MOCs! Exactly but all the builds I have seen from you seem to be perfectly detailed unlike some of mine.... I have a hard time finishing sometimes when I get near completion and I have to work on another project until I get inspired again for the finishing touches....
  11. Lovely colors! And nice forced perspective! Well done!
  12. Epic job BB! Love the pointed palisade and bending tree! Awesome job!
  13. Interesting design. I'm going to echo previous comments about being too ornate.... However the ground floor door is absolutely stunning and perfect!
  14. Nice story and posing!
  15. Excellent build! Actually might be my favorite of yours... everything is just right!
  16. Nice use of the chalkboard! And as others have said great base! A solid entry.
  17. Indeed very creative with so few pieces! Great work!
  18. I've been working on several concepts trying to learn how to build more compactly. Here is a sample board of some of my concepts: I've posted some of these already but I left them in for comparison. The bottom row are my older concepts which I have abandoned because I realize now I don't have the time or attention span to build something so massive. and the top row are my more recent concepts The two on the top left are alternate models that I am thinking of making in full scale and I am leaning toward going with the second one. Any suggestions?
  19. I have tried different aftermarket vendors but in the end, while some of the concepts are cool, they just don't quite measure up to LEGO. Except for weapons.... IMO. I bought a few sheep as well but was a bit disappointed as they don't measure up to the same standards that LEGO goats do. (In brickforge defense, the sheep mold was designed a long time before LEGO goats) In summary, with LEGO increased production of new molds in recent years, I will only be buying aftermarket parts on a rare occasion.
  20. Everything about this is just perfect! I was also thinking about using the planet pieces for domes but I never envisioned the way you conbined it with the tail pieces. Just brilliant!
  21. Awesome work! Keep it up!
  22. Very nice! I love that elevator! And the rest is great as well!
  23. A cloud of dust arose in the distance, disturbing the relative peace of the desert wasteland. Within a short while, the cause of this disturbance came into sight; knights with golden helms gleaming in the late afternoon sunlight, red and white capes billowing behind them riding white stallions with matching barding and golden champrons with glowing blue diamonds on their foreheads. They were the Knights of Aslan, riding to join up with the Phantom Legion. Just a quick piece to display these knights I had put together some time ago...
  24. Thanks! Glad you guys liked it! I got quite a few Construct a Zurg sets for really cheap and as there aren't really too many parts in that color, had to try and think of another way to use the pieces from that set. And so the purple tent was born... I have had them sitting around a while but they never seemed to fit into any of my MOCs very well until now.
