The queen is still there. Can't wait for the reviews!
-
Thanks fotr the pics, i remember seeing them somewhere before..back then i immediately thought the pirate one was way better, and so i still think. Why has it always got to be wall segments and catapults?

Why havent they resurrected the robin hood series?
metalandi replied to The Chronicler's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Robin Hood isn't Fantasy, he really existed. -
Was this a late 2009 release?
-
Yes, that actually is right. The metallic versions are just printed with a metallica color, while the pearl one is actuaolly full parl plastic, so it isn't just on the surface, but the whole thing is made out of it. I don't think so, cause look at what was all included in the medieval market set, all figs have doube sided printed torsos and even printed legs, and it did "only" cost 100 bucks. Plus, the achariot looks really ugly, so i don't think the price is justified at all.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
metalandi replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
After seeing these new detailed pictures, i'm notsure anymore if i really will buy this set. The interior once again is really lacking, i mean where are the controls and everything? To actually have a furnace is nice of course, but that one looks like a furnace in a living room An dthe tender, it's full of...nothing. Why didn't they include at least a few 1x1 round bricks? Definitely a win is the waggon though.- 559 replies

i just saw this, and finally one time i'm lucky i'm living in austria regarding lego sets! I've got an interspar just about 5 minutes away, gonna check it out tomorrow for sure!
-
I guess these will be right, the troll boat also was something like 70-80 bucks, and i think it has even less pieces than the fortress.

Why does everybody want to attach the bridge to the castle? I don't know, but for me this is that kinda building that usually is somewhere outside a castle at a river, to defense the outer lines of the kingdoms. I don't see any sense in attaching it to the castle, since it already has a drawbridge...

Dutch VOC ship the Prins Willim, minifig scale!
metalandi replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Wow, i can't find words to describe that, and what you're doing there. You're crazy, but in a great way! I can't believe you're also adding interior, and add details such as engraving the logo in the cannons...wish you luck that it doesn't break at any time, and can't wait to see ther finished model! You have to get a page in a big newspaper when it's finished! -

I like the idea and it looks really nice i must say, but..i don't think there are really many similarities to the original!
-
Yes, the figs are a bit different, i think they are the final versions now. Same as with the indy sets, in one prelim picture indy had a SW torso and now he has a fine jacket. I'm pretty sure they'll keep the orc crown as it is..i think it's great cause the colour is copper instead of golden!
-
I agree with you, the new trolls are much better than the old ones, love the printed details on them! Andf as i said before, the fortress looks so much better when closed, it has really grown on me, i love it now! Not to forget all the great new figs with these sets we get, as castle fan i'm getting all of the sets anyway
-
Thanks for the new link, no onion has some great pictures, as always! As it goes for the jester, i'm pretty sure it will have a two-sided face.
-
Where do you see the king's torso? I agree on the chariot,,this is really a big fail. In real it looks even bigger than on the box, it's like 3 times as big as a horse, what was TLG thinking by making that so big? Also, why does it have a chest on the back? It's a battle chariot, such things normally are way smaller than a horse and only have space for one person to stand in it. Actually even those are pulled by more than one horses, even if they're smaller. They are meant to be fast, but i can't see this thing moving even one meter.

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
metalandi replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
What are you talking about? They had blue helmets since the beginning of the line... -
I think the mechanism is pretty intelligent, that way it is perfectly accessable. But it'sa shame nobody seems to have pictures of the interior of all the sets yet!
-
Yay, printed legs for the king! Also, do my eyes spy a new torso for him under the armor? Thanks for the pics!
-
I think it looks much better when closed. It kinda has a similar structure as the king's castle. And well, let's wait if there's gonna be more castle set this year, i think it's too early to say it's not a good year, also remember this is the year we got the amazing medieval market village set!
-
I've found coverage of the Toy Fair on a site, starting at THIS page. Check it out! there's even a picture of the 2009 City Advent Calendar already!

Thanks for these great new pics! I'm loving the golden knight (so glad he actually IS golden, not yellow!), drawbridge defense is still my favourite.
