Welcome at EB! But it would have been eough if you'd posted the link in the castle armies thread
-
It has been posted in the city thread i believe, but thanks again to you! I'm really starting to love the troll's fortress. Hopefully we'll also get such good scans for the other new sets soon

Now i see the feature of the command rig, i must say it is great and a must buy! -
@hollisbrick: I believe this isn't meant to a be a normal phone cell, but a freeway emergency phone, like that:

Thanks for the link, darthperson, and thanks for these stunning scans, algernon! Finally we get clear pics of these great new sets. I have not much to say to the cvity sets, they are all great as said a few times before, but look at these agents sets!! I'm overwhelmed by the look of them, i think i have to get them all!
-
Algernon, are you talking about new pictures? If yes, please send me a PM.
-
New helmets - yes, i'd appreciate that. But it won't be possible to have a lot of new looks going on, because..well, they are skellies, and are, ...skellie

I like the sdimple yet effective design on both, but there are 2 things i got to ask. 1. i think on the battering ram, the "ram" itself is a bit too short on one side, since it is only a bit longer than the wheels, i think it will be pretty hard to ram a solid door with it Another prediction woul be to make it moveable, like with a rubber band (thinking on the tower raid set...) 2. The catapult: how does it move? Do the poor orcs have to carry it all the way to the castles?

You won't believe what memories this review of yours is waking in me! This was one of my first lego sets i owned back then, i can exactly remember getting it for christmas and then sitting till night with my grandpa and assembling it. This is a really wonderful, detailed model team truck, and i wish TLG would still make more such models (besides the Volkswagen, which is great of course). Sadly, i don't have it anymore, like all of my other sets i owned as a child.

Do you have a link? I can't find the farm sets anywhere on the city shop page
-
I'm so envious about you, this is such a great set! Looking forward to the rest of the review, looking great so far! But it looks as you are not too fond of technical things..i know what the yellow/blue thing is, and the other thing is definitely nothing to milk a cow
-
Is that based on ANY info or just wishful thinking?
-
Mola Ram what? I think it was actually forbidden to take photos there, this would explain why we still haven't got really good pictures.

Well, in my hometown there is an old museum-steamline that goes from here through a couple other villages, approx. 15 km long. But i think "locomotive" hasn't got to mean it's a steam engine, since electric engines are also called locomotives.

Brickshelf user legovally ahs apperantly got the new farm sets, ad uploaded some shots of the box. hopefully we can see a full review soon, in the meanwhile i kindly link you to his folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=365495

Looks interesting..That makes me want an egyptian theme so bad!! And i mean historical, not adventure themed.
-

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
metalandi replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wow, that's really a fail... But as far as on the new sets...i think i have to say the same here as i already did in the castle thread, these are also prelim versions and they might look hugely different in the end. -
Yes it was, and on the box is written "preliminary" all over it. Just because there IS a box or a set is assembled at a fair, it doesn't mean it's finished.
-
Maybe i am wrong with that, yeah. But still i think that it really could be a raided castle they took over.
-
I don't understand why you alla re talking about "what would have been better" Guys, this is still the PRELIM version, and it could look completely different in the end. Maybe they just used light parts for now. I don't get it why people are bashing about sets that are not even finished yet

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009

I checked out my local toy store today since the PM sets are coming out in february here o look if they already have it, and they did Luckily, i had afew gift coupons from my birthday, so it only cost me 30 euro's to pick up the thunder driller and the crystal sweeper -
i actually think that's exactly what TLG was thinking when designing it. I mean, orcs and trolls are really silly and simple creatures, and there's no way they could design and build a big fortress on their own, so they raided a crownie castle and made their own fortress out of it.
-
As far as i know, there actually is a brick built turkey in this set, i think it is supposed to be the black/red one. The other 2 are a hen and a duck. Correct me if i'm wrong.
