Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
The Fezter replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Lego have already done two Avengers Assemble sets, "Captain America vs. Hydra and Hulk Lab Smash." So I'd guess that we'll see two sets again this year, with 3 Civil War, and probably 3 to 4 Spiderman sets -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
The Fezter replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd say we will only be getting three sets, in the same way that Guardians of the Galaxy only had three sets, but they'll probably a bitter figure heavy. You'd probably be looking at the same kind of price points too (£20, £45- £50, £70). Spider man sets are a given, so we may end up getting some comic book style versions of new hero like Black Panther etc who've shown up in Ultimate Spiderman. And considering DC is due a new D2C, who's to say that Marvel won't get a new D2C thats tied in with Civil War too? -
All pieces are bought through Bricklink, but the canopy pieces originally appeared in Alpha Team and Mars Mission sets. Those pieces look like that normally, the flat silver colour always has these lines on them, the structure of the piece is still sound. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has left the lovely feedback on this, it's nice to know others find these creations as cool as I do!

After a few years of buying sets post dark ages, I began designing my own stuff in LDD. Pretty much all of them have stayed just that, an LDD file, but within the past six months I have started to actually physically build some. The following is my fourth LDD-to-physical-bricks model, and also my largest to date. So without further ado, I present my Space Marine Troop Dropship. I have a thing for futuristic ships, and dropships just have that something extra. The whole model took around 3 months to design, and by the time I'd finished it had ended up at a whopping 1068 pieces! Well its a lot to me anyway hah. The end cost reached roughly £120, so the purchases of elements was spilt over a couple of months. The first part I worked on were the engines, which are actually reverse-engineered from the leg thrusters from Eris' Eagle Interceptor. From that point i worked from the front backwards. Originally the model was going to be black and grey, and although it looked awesome, I thought that a craft used by figures this bulky would not need to look 'stealthy', so therefore it got changed into classic space grey and blue. The engines can rotate from flight mode to landing mode, and two engines are located at the rear for space travel. It can hold 7 troops, 6 in the main compartment, and one in the cockpit, thought the armour had to be removed to fit him in there. At some point I want to modify the rear to include an area to store equipment, as its currently just an empty space. Any comments or criticism is welcome, and I hope you enjoyed having a looksee.

After being on here for a while I've decided its finally time I do a review. Ever since photos started to appear of the summer City sets, 60092 always stood out to me as one of, if not the best set that was going to be available. And so, with it now being on sale at Brand Store, I snapped one up. Here follows my review and opinions : Set number : 60092 Set name : Deep Sea Submarine Pieces : 274 Figures : 3 Price : $39.99 USD, £24.99 GBP Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The box is the standard affair, giving you a clear picture of what your'e going toe getting in it. The artwork definitely gives you that feel of being submerged, while also helpfully reminding you this is a part of City with the buildings displayed in the top right hand background. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The top of the box also follows the usual standard of showing the mini figure selection, and the also standard inclusion a 1:1 scale to give you and idea of the corresponding size of the model to the figure. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The back of the box has the ever present figure greeting you with a cheery "HEY", accompanied with a helpful diagram of the modular style building of the set, and how its broken down into its bags. Also included are four action shots which show off the sub even more. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr (Apologies for blurry image) The contents! The bit we are all interested in. Two instruction books, three bags, one large moulded rock face and a medium sized sticker sheet. Book 1 is about half the size of Book 2, for obvious reasons. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 1 contents. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Standard fare inside the instruction book, reminding you to only open the required bags etc. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 1 leftovers. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 2 contents. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr How the second and third bags are separated. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 2 leftovers. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 3 contents. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Bag 3 leftovers. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The finished model. I honestly could not love this set more than I do right now. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr (I only photographed the two divers, but not the submariner, apologies) Our divers, one with a crowbar, one with a camera. One male, one female, always a thumbs up in my books. The torso printing is fantastic, and I'm glad they added the red stripes to the legs rather than just going for plain black legs. The helmet and mask have been around for ages and as far as I can tell the faces have been seen before too. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr New shark printing! Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The seabed is a nice little build, with some typical features. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The bones lift up on a simple technic pin mechanism, revealing a treasure chest that I'm guessing was devoured by the now dead creature. Inside are the typical assortment of gems, and the golden 1x1 round tiles are obviously there to represent coins. Why the old treasure coins couldn't of been included is a mystery. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr To the side is a piece of (I'm guessing) coral, which can also be turned upwards to reveal another gem. Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr Untitled by George Witchlow Thomson, on Flickr The sub. What a beaut! I can't help but feel this one of the best looking sets that has been produced in recent years, and there have been some pretty good offerings! The front and even the rear view are nice and imposing, The side view gives off a nice stumpy look, which compares to the realise versions very well. The designer could well of just given us two identical arms to the vehicle, yet here we have one grabbing hand and one with four different tools/sensors. The engine detail at the back is spot on, and the O2 tanks are also a nice touch that help finish off this model. Would i buy a second one of these sets? Most definitely! Would I buy any of the other Deep Sea sets? Probably not. None of them had the same presence as this one did. I'm going to go out and say that this is the highlight of the sub-theme. I hope you all enjoyed reading this review as much as I did building this set. Comments are of course welcome.

I work for Lego so was able to check on our system

The Palace Cinema (for the UK at least) has a retire date of 2017. I cant remember the retire date for Pet Shop, but its at least the end of this year.

Sometimes they do just miss a number out. For instance, Arctic Base Camp is 60036, yet the next set in number order is Crook Pursuit 60041. Sometimes the numbers have been used ages ago in promotional items, or are spare for an advent calendar, or are filled in at a later date.

Only saying what I've been told. Was only trying to help. If my higher ups are telling me the wrong thing then I shall pass it on.

Duracell are the only batteries that are currently not working in the battery boxes. Only recent problem. Any other battery is fine

Review: 40099 Jetski (June Monthly Mini Build)
The Fezter replied to ResIpsaLoquitur's topic in Special LEGO Themes
In our store (UK) the mini build is named as a Hovercraft rather than Jetski. Do they have different names for UK and US mini builds? -
I've seen a list that mentions Coastguard, Construction and Cargo sets, I don't have the names with me right now and I cant confirm as to whether they're city or not (more likely than not). I do remember one of the Cargo sets being called the Cargo Heliplane.

I would of thought it would more likely be Legends of Chima that replaces Ninjago

which one? The FRU or MRU (the smaller or larger?) I've redesigned the rear of the Main Response Unit. Here are a few photos..

The Space Marines from the Series 7 CMF really re-ignited my passion for sci-fi. I have a real thing for aircraft, so it only seemed right that I design some craft for my little squadron of Marines. First up is a single pilot fast response unit. The design is built around the helicopter from the current Batwing set, with some more inspiration coming from the Alien Conquest Jetcopter, mainly the winged machine guns at the rear. I played with the use of rotors for the engines, but they looked so out of scale that I reverted the design back to jets. Front view Side view Top view Quarter view Next up is the main response unit. It's a large troop carrying craft for those big situations any Space Marine could face. This one is very much a MOC, I must be honest that I don't like the look of the back, will most definitely be getting a redesign very soon. However, on to the pictures... Front view Side view Top view Quarter view Thats it for now! Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome. Theres a few extra images here.

Could you possibly send me scans of the instructions, over here in the UK they've disappeared from the website =/

Re-building it was not fun I can assure you

Totally fine. I'll remember to do more photos in my next review

I'm afraid i completely forgot to take anymore photos during that time and I no longer have the set available to me.

850423 LEGO Minifigure Display w/ Space Figure set
The Fezter replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah they're brand new for June, obviously some places haver released early. I think it's a replacement for the yellow box that holds 15 figures. -
Sure thing I'll get them deep linked. I work for Lego at the Bluewater Store and so was asked to build one for display purposes.

This is my first review of a set so be gentle with me. Name : Sopwith Camel Code : 10226 Year : 2012 Theme : Exclusives Pieces 883 The front of the box is the usual affair with Lego box art. The main image shows you the model as if in flight, with a small depiction of the model from birds eye view, also giving dimensions. I like the presentation of this small image, made to look like one of the dials from the plane. The back of the box is the same story, this time giving the rear view of the plane, again including two small images of the cockpit controlled functionality of the set, the ability to control the flaps. More on that later. The small images are also made to look like the dials, and the bottom of the box is printed to look like its wood. We get 11 bags in total, and lots and lots of green and tan plates. The instruction books come with a cardboard backing so no crumpled pages, always a bonus. There are unfortunately decal stickers, which won be good for my shaky hands. Obviously it was a necessary thing to do, brick building the RAF symbols would of been a task. One has a standard brick separator that appears in many of the new larger sets. Interesting way of packing the larger Lego strings. Parts to note : the silver curved brick, the brown wing strut, the technic frame and the technic suspension part. It's nice to see the build separated into sections, shame the bags aren't separated the same way though. This is the first section completed. This is already taking up a bit of space! And the finished set. This is a lovely set, it looks amazing. It's also a very enjoyable build, you won't find yourself getting bored of it anytime soon. Spin the rotor around and it's almost hypnotic. And the decals were no problem at all. Final note, it's a very good source for stud attached string pieces, now a very rare inclusion these days Ultimately, I think I'd rate this set at a 9 out of 10. The only thing i feel lets it down, and it's a very small thing, is the flaps on the wings, they don't move much. But thats it's only flaw! Otherwise its perfect. I'm not sure why but my Flickr links weren't (and still aren't) working, hence why there are a lack of images on this page, at least I could actually post links. Can someone help me out with this problem? Anyways, thanks for having a look! The Fezter
