  1. Maybe if TLG moulded a new version of the wheel arches, where the clip for the wheels is permanently attached at the bottom? therefore the design wouldn't even need the axles.
  2. is it just me or is anyone else not a big ffan of the axles used on Lego's 4 wide vehicles. The wheels stick out too far for my liking. Anyone else feel this way?
  3. Have you got a breakdown of the main rotor? Ive built a rotor using some technic parts but the blades droop too much and catch on the tail section too much, so I want to make them rigid. Was hoping to see how you did yours. Cheers
  4. The reason why most stores appear to have the same bricks in PAB is because at the start of the year the bricks are chosen then, and that there are only a limited number (around 40 or 50 I think) that they can choose from. But yes I agree there needs to be more variety (I've heard we hope to add another 20 or so bricks next year). Yes the current Disney sets are now losing their popularity a bit, so would be nice to do something new. Lego does still seem to be a bit casual with the amount of female figs they do, licensed or not. We definitely need more! I have suggested myself that we add a section to the website that lists all items being discontinued sixth months in advance of them being pulled from the range. We've had a lot of feedback on the need for more rarer colours to be sold in packs, such as purple, lime green and pink, so I think that may be on the board already but I'll add another note. I totally agree with the Doctor Who theme, alas Character Building have the contract for Doctor Who and already have about 8 sets out. The BBC seem to of chosen CB to make their brick playlets. Shame...
  5. Is The Last Airbender done by Universal? If so, we may well be doing some other Universal sets (i.e. Back to the Future DeLorean from Cuusoo) I'll post it up on the board. I'll get Zelda added to the board, although I do believe a few of my colleagues have already posted such an idea. I haven't heard any news of next years Star Wars but I would expect some to turn up what with the re-release of episode two in cinemas. I must agree with you that Trains does appear to be declining a bit. When Emerald Night was discontinued I was a bit put back by the fact there wasn't a new steam locomotive released. And the only train related set is the station. A new road crossing and maybe even a wagon washing area, like in the classic train sets. I did put up saying that Lego should re-re-release the Metroliner, undoubtedly my favourite train set. Thanks for the points you've passed on so far, I'll get them added as quick as I can.
  6. What would you want to change or introduce in Lego? Do you want more products? New themes? Direct updates as to when a product is getting discontinued? If you do, I can help you! I work at the Bluewater Lego Store in the UK. We have a Continuous Improvements board in our staff room where we can all leave ideas for things we think would be good to introduce or change in the store. And I think if the Community could get a voice in we can all make TLG better than ever! So leave a reply with your thoughts or ideas and I'll make sure they are added to the board. =D
  7. As long as you're nice and polite and ask us, we usually allow it =)
  8. What has been accomplished with this set has been amazing. Credit to the creator. Alas, we were discussing this at work yesterday (work being Lego Shop Bluewater) and we are worrying that Lego may not put it forward into production because of their stance on violence etc. We do want it though, because I'm sure we would have many customers interested. It would give the stock range something nice and interesting for the adults. I really hope that Lego just get it straight into production.
  9. I have a thing for modern military vehicles, specifically helicopters and planes. I used to make (or at least try to) my own version using whatever parts from sets I mercilessly ripped apart (I was still only a kid at the time, and many classic town and space sets were taken apart and rebuilt). One of the ones I made survived throughout my 8 years of Dark Ages, losing only one part. This is how it looked one year ago A few months ago I rebuilt it, giving it a much sleeker look to it. I don't have an image yet, but as this MOC is technically just an update and improved version you'll get an idea of what it looks like. And so, here is the updated and refined version: Image One Image two Image three Image four I played around with the rear T-tail, and I can't decide if i prefer having two engines on each wing or just one per wing. What do you guys think? I'd love to get your comments or even criticism (the constructive type of course). Thanks for looking
  10. Very nice design of the truck. Love the inclusion of the spare tire underneath it =) It does look a bit tall but I guess it's more because of the fact it's 4 wide, whereas 6 wide would fit the height proportions. Still a lovely looking thing .
  11. There were a few pictures floating around of a car park, is that a possible release that has t be confirmed yet, or just one that Lego designed for their city ads? Also, I am loving the look of the mining sets, the foremans car is going to be a good seller I think.
  12. 1. The black gun looking part is the refuelling arm for when the aircraft requires a mid-air refuel. Not all the Osprey models have it, I think the Army and Ranger ones are the only ones that have it. 3. The landing gear doesn't retract, and I was originally intending to do so, but i didn't want to take up space inside of the fuselage just because I wanted to put vehicles in it. 4.Yes, now you've mentioned it I realised that I completely missed them out. The cockpit was always the problem area for me, and getting to this point took a while for me. Yes now you mention it the wings are quite low, I should probably chuck in a few plates to raise it more. Thanks for the feedback guys
  13. Over the space of last night and this morning, I have been working on a V22 Osprey Tiltrotor VTOL Aircraft. It's actually my fifth attempt at building one, and is the first one I am happy with. It's not a perfect model of it, and that was never the intention, it's more of a "What if Lego made one for it's City range?" This is the link to my Flickr set (I'm not sure on actually placing images in the posts yet) : Please leave your comments and suggestions as I always love a bit of feedback. Cheers The Fezter
  14. Found all the required bricks from Bricklink, thanks to the members who jolted my memory about the existence of BL =)
  15. I'm surprised at myself that I didn't even think of using Bricklink! I guess it comes from having to tell all the people at work about buying from PAB (Currently in my 7th month of working for TLG )
  16. Greetings to all. I need some help in finding the reference codes for some bricks and plates that I need to build a stand for a model. I have designed it on Design by Me but it only gives me the names and Lego say they can only place orders for the pieces I need with the ref codes. Ive had a look on ebay but can't find any codes, and pick a brick hasn't given me any answers either, so I was hoping the good people here could help me out with my predicament. I have a list of the parts needed here, all items are in Black, I don't know if the codes change for different colours or not; Wing section rear Technic brick 1x8 Technic brick 1x6 Flat plate 2x6 Flat plate 1x2 6x8 brick Ø4.85 Flat plate 1x12 Plate 2x2 with 1 stud Connector peg Any help with be warmly welcome, and I thank you for having a look at this post.
