  1. The first pcitures of that castle to hit the net were on brickzone, hinckley's site. I'm sure if you look back you can find it. The person who made that MOC was the pioneer of that technique, this being his second large MOC to use it. He's truly a great, and elusive builder who is the true and rightful master of that technique ;-)
  2. Oh man you got. Seriously though that would make my life so much better if it were true :'-(
  3. I know that and it was stage right :-| and leave my wenie out of this >:-(
  4. You mean those disks? One of these? You mean upside-down on the exposed hole? Yes, and the ice cube trey is stage right :-| See? "stage right", I'm even talking in your own language Nah, it's gonna be tiled with dark blue sections on the 'fin' flaps. I mean there will be plenty of greebs, just not there :-$ It's actually really nice, you just can't see it :-/ Should be ready within the year... Thanks for the support everyone :-$ I'll keep this updated, I had some great ideas in the middle of a class X-D
  5. *stomps in huffing and snorting* CAPTAIN! I have a COMPLAINT. I was woken up from my stasis nap by a LEAK. My cabin is LEAKING. Look at my official Enterprise jammies! They were in PERFECT (used) condition, and now they're all...red. Someone thought it would be funny to leak red sheep's blood into my cabin. Oh I get it, let's sacrifice the virgi- er, nerd. Let's sacrifice the NERD. HA-HA so funny I FORGOT. TO. LAUGH. *snort*
  6. As the title says, this thing has just barely started, but chuck wanted some WIP shots so I figured I'd post it here to get some comments and ideas before I plunge too deep into it. First, here's the computer-rendered concept art. In other words it's a crap drawing I made in paint in 5 minutes because I can't get to my scanner. It looks really simplistic, but that's because I can't put little details into paint because I suck at it. Anyway, here it is. Like I said nothing impressive, but actually hammering the dome out proved to be the most difficult to work out. I have a bunch of 1x4 hinge bricks with teeth on two sides lined up so that the natural give of the click hinges to get the curve of the dome. I used that as the spine for the ship. then I laid a pair of connected 1x2 hinge bricks with teeth on both sides in groups of three to give the right shape and strength to it. I'm then trying to taper it off as they go down, though it will be a bit awkward when I get to the end, but I'm still waiting for the next BL order to come in. It will be three decks, with the bottom deck being taller than a normal one, about 2/3 the height of the dome, to accommodate a hanger. That should fit four fighters, a transport (yet to be built), a bomber (yet to be built), and 6 assault droids. The fighters will have doors that open on the sides to let them out, and for ground invasions there will be a large section of the floor that lowers down via a gear mechanism and turnable knob in the back. The bridge will be in the front of the bottom deck. The dome will be divided into two decks, the bottom housing the bunks for the crew of 60 in the back, and the galley/facilities in the front. The top floor is planned to have just a small area for missile tubes on the sides that will come out through the shell, and small tunnels to 5 turnable quad turbolaser turrets positioned around the poles of the ship on the dome. A med bay will exist somewhere along the bottom deck, but that'll get thrown in there when I get to it... There will be a color theme of dark blue taking up the corners of the bottom 'fins", with trans dark blue plates making lines of 'emergency lights' along all the hallways. My biggest problem is that I'm not sure how to do the whole elevator thing...I mean I don't think stairs would make a lot of sense of something this high-tech. And yes, I do plan on tiling the dome ;-) I've made some minor details I've worked out that I want to use for the ship. This is gonna be the holoprojector for the bridge, these are gonna be the missiles, and I plan on these being handrails around the tubes mentioned earlier, and around the hanger. Similar greebs involving just two of those silver robot arms and a rod will be used in groups of 10 along the side of the SHIP. I know it's barely started, but any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Like with that elevator thing...:-P I'll update this thread as it comes more into fruition. Sorry for the mess, I'm sort've building it on the edge of a table right now. Still need to finish organizing. As of 9/6/2007
  7. These are really nice *wub* just not my thing. I mean eventually maybe I'd pick up a couple just to have them in case they're needed for a vig, or something... Too bad they couldn't make the sheep/pig's head move up and down too :-/
  8. Geez, what doesn't make you gassy or sloshy? :-| I think she's full, captain...she canna' handle any moar
  9. Calling someone's MOC "meh" and their color usage reasoning "lame" isn't exactly being nice OR constructive, chuck :-| I mean how would you feel if someone called your hardsuit meh? Probably wouldn't inspire you to make it better... That said I like the improvements you made her, strauder. At first I thought you just got AT-RT and AT-ST confused but now it really is starting to look like one. It's still a little small for a "heavy" AT-ST when it's still smaller than the regular one though :-D I'm only confused about why it's "heavy" since it's smaller and has the same weaponry though 8-| Nice job
  10. Pah, monsters. As a legendary man once said, "Legends...are the spice of the universe, Mr. Data, because they have a way of sometimes coming true". And this man fought his fair share of monsters, and did he ever quit? Almost but that doesn't count! Are we? So someone smashed out com system, we need to find out who did it! In the meantime, I suggest a nice friendly game of cards. Five card stud, nothing wild. And the sky's the limit! ;-) But afterwards I'll want a full list of everyone as to what they were doing at the time of the crime! Holorecordings of your actions would be most sufficient :-|
  11. I'm confused, where is the sink? I only see the actual toilet *wacko*
  12. If people die in this mystery I know who's dying first :-P And Mr. Mandalorian, J works fine X-D
  13. The galley is just phenomenal. It looks cramped and real, I love the wood beams at the top *wub* The map and the net are great details also, it just looks so REAL, the people on the ship...er, "we" have it good X-D
  14. Oh god there's more than one? :'-( That combined with the other picture you showed makes me want to redo it :-D I could probably do the pipes better, but I've been so busy lately *wacko* As for clean...well, we DO have a janitor here, don't we? X-D
  15. Well I don't know about realistic, I've never been in an engine/boiler room Mr. Navy :-| I wanted to make it somewhat greebled without being TOO greebled. Anyway I threw this together in about an hour so sorry if it sucks :-$ Here's the overall shot: Here's meeeeee Aren't I adorable swooshing my model Enterprise? *wub* (I'll get you for this, Brickster) And here's another angle: Man I hope BS is back up soon :'-(
  16. Hum, this sounds like fun. I'll try to make a part of the Engine room. That is as long as Sinner doesn't mind ;-)
  17. Welcome PaulF :-) Hope you have a blast around the forums
  18. Well that's the great debate. Some say "don't modify pieces, building with what you have is art!" and others say "modify pieces, making new parts is art!" and they both hold water and seem valid enough. Overall if someone wants to modify pieces they need to be decent at it in order to make it look professional (and if it won't look professional, why bother modifying at all?). Personally I wouldn't modify parts to build sets with, but I have equal respect for people who do. And great respect for MF customizers.
  19. Hey now! Just because I'm more enlightened than you is no need to "pull a Klingon" and get all huffy :-| Freakin' jocks thing they can be the boss just because they like sports...and I'm part of the defense guard for this ship! I'm supposed to find out things, so don't even try to resist...afterall *snort* resistance is futile! I assume you mean me? I can assure you that while it may not appear that I'm wearing my black clothes, they're under the portable cloaking device. I vow on the honor of the Federation that we'll find what's going on here. Now then where were you last night at oh-seven-hundred galactic-standard time? Why do you have a jam stain on your collar (could that be to throw us off the track, or a clue since jam looks like blood and you're taunting us?!)?
  20. I saw this before but this actually looks pretty promising. Let's hope it does better than it's predecessor :-| Also moved to Culture and Multimedia
  21. The boat...she's dead Jim! And you say you've done this before, but this time it wasn't you? Someone as skilled in warp-drive sabotage clearly can't be trusted with a simple "it's not me" :-| In fact this exact same thing happened in episode 78 of Voyager! And you know who did it? The Engineer. I think we have all the information we need here! But I must know, what happened the last time? Who took your hammer, and how could you have left it gone? And more importantly what is your favorite 80's song? I mean there are so many choices but one of them has to stick out, right? And if not why not? Anyway, we're just getting nowhere at this rate, we need to split into two parties to investigate this matter. Everyone with a red shirt, follow me!
  22. Awwwwwww, that's kind of cute *wub*
  23. Ah I missed these *wub* 9. Thanks for explaining the Bumblebee one to me :-P 6. Only four boulders at my TRU ;-) 4. I forgot about a Sean Conner MF. That's gonna be so bad-megablocks :-D 2. Definitely :-$ Glad you brought these back *sweet*
  24. Hey Ryan, I hope you find it fun over here :-) Time to go take a look in the YOC forum X-D
