Er, actually it's a term used on message boards ;) See, when two people "fight" or engage in something like this on a board...since it's just written words, things can often get out of control. Originally we were sticking to normal military, so that was fine. But then with the inclusion of dragons, things started getting a bit "iffy". But they were fine. Now with people being resurrected from the dead...well, I'm sure you can see where that would lead! A "war" that would never end because each side keeps pulling out bigger and more impossible feats than the last. Before you know it, you'll have one side using magic to wipe out all of the opposition, and that side rebuilding by bringing everyone to life again! I'm sure you can see how this type of things can get out of control rather quickly ;)

Okay, we need to do something about the godmodding >_>

$25? That's LOW, I'm amazed you were even able to buy it that low in a store on sale! Considering this was the largest Islanders set, and that it's old, and complete, and with an extra set...it doesn't surprise me. Of course I'd never pay that much, but still ;)

Now the serpent was more subtle than any other...

Very, very nice. I love the tree -
Well I haven't heard much about people making models from other people's personal lines, but I think we're getting off-topic ;) Back to the great MOC
-
Yes,a 12 year old was behind all of those models :| your thinking of keith well, I had no idea because your age isn't listed, and secondly I figured if you were going to make a model out of someone else's line, you would've linked or credited them or something. Hence the confusion
-
Wait...you were the guy behind all the Iron Reich models?! Seems a bit different from past IR models, but nice leg mechanism
-
So yer alchemists stop at the second step, eh? blasphemy! I LIKE IT! bwahaha
-
but wouldn't you need ta conjur up some sorta lightening storm to make that "hydrogen" stuff from the sea? bwahaha, I have me sources ;)
-
It was REALLY nothing special...aside of the 8 gold bricks. The rest of the pieces were truly ordinary

Aren't Roboriders under the Space forum? Anyway, I loved roboriders (not to the extent of Space Police I, Blacktron I, or Spyruis mind you, but I loved 'em ;) Don't remember TOO much about throwbots...other than I had a few
-
Ah, but how would ya get enough of that "hydrogen" stuff in the air ta affect 'em? Would take an awful lot I'm assumin, and work best inside...is it possible?
-
Hydrogen? What the blazes is that?! Fr'm what I gather, yer trying to turn the dragons into livin' bombs by...doing somethin' er other with their food? It'll be hard to get to their food supply, a lot harder than water. Also, after that fiasco, they'll be on lookout for any similar methods. If you want me knowledge, I've run into dragons a few times, and if there's one thing I know they don't like, it's the cold. I don't really know what you can do with that, but if it finds some use, all the better. Also, fill a ship with cattle and send it adrift. Have it full o' gun powder, and when the dragons go to eat, fire a shot at the ship an' blow 'em all up! Dragons will always go fer food, no matter how well trained they be

Are ya daft? I was talkin ta th' opposition

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horny Third entry. And it has nothing to do with Lego, they're just being silly ;) Austin Powers references now ABOUT THE SETS, I'm not really looking forward to them...unless I get some nice trans pieces...which won't happen >-|
-
Good review, thanks! ;) Actually, I really like the review, though I don't personally like the airport (I mean if we want realism, other types of models, or even Megablocks, with their more realistic...and yet less-realistic pieces would work better. To me, Lego is about creating realistic things out of very simple parts. Anyway, I have to say I love the passenger with the grin and stubble. Anyone know if he comes in other (less expensive) sets as well? He'd make a great side-kick :-D

ya heard the man. guess I missed a lot, we're allied with the Danes now, are we? well then, just give in lads. yer fightin a losin battle, no use throwin away yer men's lives for the same result, now is there?
-
Aww, that's so sweet :) Anyway, happy birthday! I know it's probably the day after where you are, but here it's still 10:58, so it still counts ;)

Well, I agree that most people are forced to have SOME level/kind of education, but I actually enjoyed it to an extent. I knew the profession I wanted, so I took the required/related classes. To a degree they're my choice, but they're also not (as I had to take them to be what I want to). I'm currently 20 years old, and live in the United States. I attend the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore/Maryland. I'm pre-med, and my mother actually discouraged me from being one (but I'm stubborn ;) ) Grades were always expected to be high, but that didn't really affect me. I went through highschool without working at all, however as soon as I reached college...WOW. Talk about a difference. I study pretty much all day when I'm there, and it's still hard to do well. No wonder my school has the third highest suicide rate in the US :'( I...still need to refine my study habbits >_> Is this for Intel, by chance?
-
Ouch...I don't know where you live (or the laws there), but surely if a whole block was hit, the authorities will find who did it. They tend to care more when there's publicity ;)

After a brief bout with some sorta illness, we're back on the seas. I'm sending some scouts out to help yer forces

Those aren't the "old" minifigs, they're old Duplo minifigs. That's most likely a MOC someone made for a store, and not a real set, but nice find anyway! To see what the "old" minifigs looked like, check the Bricksters topic about the wild west, I think there were some pictures in it of the real old ones (no arms, blank faces, non-moving legs, etc)
-
Nice Daredevil twist for the second one ;) With Jedi senses, it would actually make sense though!
-
Rocky River Retreat, simply for just nostalgia. I played with that set so much when I was younger

20 ...what? You expected something amusing? >_>
