  1. You don't think...what?
  2. The bottom of the ship Firing mechanism And finally, the Cast! Gasp...fleshtone normal smilie?! Here's from the front. A nice torso, and regular face with an old Western theme cap! From the side (the arms aren't chipped, they have brown markings on them) And finally, from the back (fairly plain) And lastly, IG-88...the inside story Anyway, I hope you find this review useful, if there's anything else you want a picture of, don't hesitate to ask! This was a really nice set, that comes with an awesome assortment of parts. It's a shame that Boba wasn't the cloud City version though... Rating: Pieces: 10/10 Minifigures: 9/10 Playability: 10/10 Originality: 5/10 Set Design: 9/10 Overall: 8.6/10 I just can't ever seem to give sets based on a ship more than a 5 for originality, I figure it's right in the middle, so it's fair. It's an excellent set though, even if you're not a Star Wars fan. Also, even if it wasn't mentioned, the wings and cockpit rotate to keep the pilot upright at all times. Well, along a 90 degree window anyway Until next time!
  3. As in Jango Fett's Slave I, the long front-spine contains a hidden compartment that opens up to reveal a weapons cache, here it consists of two missiles that only fire "down" when the ship is in the upright position As most of you have heard by now, the chest of the ship opens up to reveal a massive missile launcher (the standard spring-loaded, rubber-tipped missile) Nice close-up of the cockpit. Hey, there's Boba! Hi Boba! Enjoy the Sarlaac Pit in the new Sail Barge set! (we all know he doesn't die there though) In the back, there's storage for poor frozen-Han. Pressing a lever on the stage-left side allows you to load and unload it Just like in Jango Fett's Slave I, there's a mechanism for dropping "bombs" (in this set, however, they're just plain blank white heads). My biggest gripe is that there's no covering over where you insert the bombs, so they could technically fall out the top! And here's the hinge that holds it in place
  4. Hey everyone, well after being sick for a few days, and studying (and taking) a few finals at my University, I figured it was time I got around to reviewing the revamped (and much anticipated) Slave I. It's really quite a nice set, and with 537 pieces, it's quite nice for $49.99US, although I'm sure it's a love-or-hate thing with this ship. Also, I hope the pictures are alright, I took them at about 1 AM my time, and was fairly tired. If anyone wants any re-takes, or requests, feel free to say so! Anyway, let's begin, shall we? :) First, an overall shot of the Slave I. As you can see, it strongly resembles Jango Fett's Slave I, but looks a little..tougher ;) Next, we'll take a look at the wings... Here's a close-up of the ship with both wings off, straight through the hole where they connect. You can see the interesting way the curved pieces are attached, as well as the lever for firing the hidden missile (more on that later ;) ) and an empty exterior cabinet. A shot from another angle, with the wing attached, and the lever and cabinet still in view Along the "tail" of the Firespray-class ship, near the rotating twin heavy-laser turrets is another cabinet with...well, I have absolutely no clue Speaking of those turrets, they seemed to have gone with a simple technic pin to connect them this time, which is much nicer to me
  5. At the request of a few members, a few additional pics of the V-Wing First of the cockpit (ouch...) Then how the wing attaches to the body Enjoy :-D
  6. You did? :'( Well if you hear of a second one... ;) I'd really rather not pay $100US for a red fighter
  7. Um...the Ultimate Space Battle was a Target Exclusive, and if I'm not mistaken, that's the set number for it. I think that's just a picture of part of the Ultimate Space Battle, which is nowhere to be found anymore >_> (at a reasonable price). If anyone SEES it at a reasonable price, please let me know :-D Edit: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=b...asin=B000AEOED0
  8. Very, very nice! What was the purpose of the "leg-cape" if I may ask? (I forgot the actual name, it's almost 4 AM so...>_>) And yeah, personally I think the Lego Vader was one of the most well-done minifigs ever, just misses out on the flowing cape ;)
  9. Guys, the Exo Force sets (some of them, anyway...) are already out in stores. Check here for a review of the Gate Assault :)

  16. so do you want to be a sergeon? a Dr? or somthing else along those lines Well, there are actually many classes of doctors :) All medical doctors are either MD (Medical Doctors), or DO (Doctors of Osteopathy). DOs were relatively uncommon until the past 30 years. DOs basically learn everything MDs do, but a little more ;) Any real doctor, can be either an MD or a DO, including surgeons. They have the sur-name "Doctor", just like a GP (General Practitioner), OBGYN (Gynocologist), or Pediatrician. As for me? I'm actually thinking about going into Pediatrics. It's always been my philosophy that I'd rather my patients leave me because they grew up, rather than because they died ;) Of course there are some who have "Dr." in front of their names who aren't REAL doctors, just earned their doctorates, but we won't get into that right now :-D
  17. I'm currently a junior in a University. I go to Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, I'm pre-med
  18. I don't like you! ;) You with your new SW sets. *sing* Well, if it helps, I bought them with my own money :) Besides, I'm still sadly in need of the Ultimate Space Battle...I missed out on Target, and now can't find it anywhere for less than $70US!
  19. I've actually had a lot of work lately, but tomorrow I'll post those requested pics, and a review of the Slave I ;)
  20. It's just a normal, plain old smile on a fleshtone head
  21. I thought someone said they were discontinued from the Ultimate Space Battle, but in the newest magazing I got, on the back cover it shows it, including the original Red JSF...and even mentions it in the poduct description. I would scan it...but it's not up and running at the moment. Anyone know if it being discontinued was just a rumor?
  22. Sure, I'll do that too :) It's just a simple technic pin, though
  23. Sure, I'll get around to it after class in a few hours
  24. but this is only one >-| whats the other one the B-Wing http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...t=ST&f=2&t=3062
