Did anyone else notice that between the Red mech, and this one the pilot got a set of four stars added to his right breastplate? Looks like someone got a promotion! Why else would he get such a nice mech? *wub* I got this set after I saw your review, that's twice now! And twice I'm not disappointed ;-)

That's happened for a couple of years, actually. I think another topic about this was made awhile ago, but it was at least three or four years since they've included them in even the larger sets. I really miss them, some of my best memories as a child were thumbing through the pages of those catalogues, but I guess from an economic standpoint they were rather wasteful.

They're too long though...they wouldn't restrain the prisoner, maybe if they were upside-down, to have the prisoner hanging by his wrists...but that would be hard with how the minifigs are

Well, I got my new CTT earlier today. It's time for: The Good: First there are the minifigs, three white Clones, one yellow (commander), one Kashyyyk scout Trooper, and a non-LULS Mace! On e-bay/bricklink, the figs alone would cover the cost of the set (more of less) The Bad: Exact same rehash of the old set, no major changes/modifications (from what I could tell, this tank is being taken for parts, so I thumbed through the instructions quickly) The Ugly: Despite what the box and instructions may show...Mace has a bley lightsaber! :'-(

The headband idea doesn't strike me as bad, actually, I mean people wear sweatbands to keep sweat from getting into their eyes, right? Sounds like something useful for Batman. However I'd just like if the Helmit let the eyes see out if you wanted...like I wish the clone helmits were...

Dunno why they can't just make helmets (both the clones and batman) with No eye holes instead. Just an indentation with painted eyes that are part of the helmet.... Then we'd win both ways, nice helmet, normal face underneath.... But what about when the helmit's taken off...?

Same reason I love, but hate the clone helmits! Put them ona black-headed fig and it looks awesome. Try and put it on a fig with eyes and...well, it doesn't line up.

well, I'm sure you've noticed that AFOLs have been up in arms about the change in grey->bley moreso than any of the other color changes, especially brown-->bred/rown which is, imo, far worse. I think it's just because grey was so widely used in the first place. I'm slowly building up my bley collection, but it'll be awhile before it gets near my grey collection. Personally I don't think it's so bad if they had a small amount of this lighter color, and decided to use it sparingly in shields and whatnot. Probably this was a leftover prototype color from when they were developing the new grey, and instead of throwing it out, they just decided to use it.

When I recently ordered the Batman sets, and the new version of the CTT, I noticed something strange when I checked my order...there was an extra item, for free, that I have no idea about. 14 Mar 2006 GK7782 1 USD 0.00 USD 0.00 Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Any similar experiences with this? Is this an item at all, or merely for record-keeping? There's no link either... Anyway, if anyone knows anything, thanks!

I don't think anyone MINDS it, more just curious as to why it was made, but I guess it does look better than normal bley for a sheild...

There's really no way for us to know, except that it's almost guarenteed that the hulls won't be in stock The bottom half of the list looks very feasible though

Well, I just ordered it (how could I resist? THREE white clones, another yellow one, non-LULS Mace, another Kashyyyk trooper (my favorite *wub* ), and a decent amount of parts for MOCs I'll report back as soon as I get it if they shipped the new version or not. If they didn't...I'll have to call them and return it
