Also guys, maybe remove the pics from the thread for now? I was holding back on embedding the images since...I think, they do put a strain on the servers of the mirrors, and I know they're pretty strained now
-
Yes, I know, that's what I was talking about from the beginning. Not only do we not know for sure that the arms are molded on (it could be a trick of the light, you can't discount that), but there may still be small changes by release. I'd be extremely surprised otherwise.
-
Meaning that they're at least two parts. I'd bet arms move as well. We're still speculating at this point. They've never made a multipart mold that didn't have arms move
-
I don't know, the head MAYBE, but I think at least the arms can move...or at least I hope so. I would really be beyond disappointed with them if it couldn't move at all. You can see a line around the neck, so maybe...meh, I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'll keep my fingers crossed :-/

*Updated with new pics* Custom Davey Jones fig
Starwars4J replied to Vader's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hm, interesting. What about Apoxie Sculpt? I've heard good things about it, would that work as well? -
So, about the aliens. I think they have potential. Their arms can move, as can their head. The one thing I'm waiting for to pass my final judgement is if the legs can move individually (like a normal minifig), or the legs move as a whole (droids). I really hope it's the former, though Lego has a record of not doing that... Either way, they're not as bad as I heard. I just wish the wrists moved too :-/

Not too happy with the hand? X-O That's the best part of the fig! I think I saw this on BS yesterday, I shoulda looked at the name of the account :-P This is a real quality fig, can't wait to see more -
1. After you donate 1000 rupees to get the bridge fixed in Malomart, speak to the old Goron right outside. He'll ask if you can bring some hot spring water across a part of Hyrule field and over the new bridge to a waiting goron on the other side to rejuvinate him. It's actually not as hard as it seems at first (if you get hit, you drop the barrel and it breaks open--you need to start again). And don't forget, Hyrule field is big and full of enemies without Epona or Wolf Form ;-) Try running around the side of Hyrule, where enemies spawn less. When one of those bird things comes near you, stop and put the barrel down, and shoot them from a distance with your arrows. If they get anywhere near your barrel you're in trouble, any contact with it will break it. My cousin got lucky and just managed to run straight through without getting hit, but don't count on that kind of luck happening often :-P When you get there, throw the barrel on the Goron, and he'll feel revived. The second part of the donations (2000 rupees) will now only be 200. 2. For the grapple star game (I swear when I first entered that tent, I thought I'd be in a boss fight somehow *wacko* you need to use the hookshot for the first round. Try to get as many in one shot as possible. And fire as fast as possible. You're using the Wii version, right? The Gamecube version is notorious for almost being unbeatable. Like someone said to me once "If you're using the Wii version, just fire a lot. If you're using the Gamecube version, I'm sorry, you're screwed ^_^" The second round of the game is only playable with the item from the City in the Sky dungeon, so wait until then to do round 2. Hope this helped *sweet*

I'm sure it's silver plastic, I'd bet on it. And you could always send them to me to Brasso ;-) :-D It's not really modifying that much, the brick remains the same, just a layer of print is removed. But to each his own, eh?
-
Ugh, it looks like the silver Euroarmor will need the front brasso'd to be of use *sad*

French Toy Fair 2007 : the pictures !
Starwars4J replied to brickerik's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It looks to be more a single mold like Yoda -
*notes* I'll be there tomorrow ;-)
-
That's what I'm talking about. Use of the opposing Travis bricks :-P Anyway, more about the MOC :-)

Ah ha! I knew it! Goldman has been stealing all his ideas from you! I should've known ;-) Didn't I see on classic-space.com that the box you used to make your containers has a specific name though?
-
Now I know this isn't exactly the most spacey thing ever, but they are all set in a futuristic world. A space craft is present, and there is a mecha (but I don't think enough to qualify for the other forum). The sheer scale of this thing is phenomenal. The details as well, he even did interiors this time! I'm in love with that ship, and that mecha...and...everything *wub* Gallery

Greetings from just across the dutch border...
Starwars4J replied to Holodoc's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome! It's always good when a member makes a nice long introduction, makes it really easy to get to know you. I see you said you've been here for a bit, well I hope you're enjoying this place :-P -
This really had better be a prototype...it's just so horrible if it isn't. I mean...it's so small, for a castle? This set in previous incarnations has been huge. *waits and prays this isn't anywhere near the final version* Though...prototypes rarely change much in size or complexity...

OOC: Not if I have anything to say about it :-D Admiral 4J to Lord *vader*: The Chiss is secured. I'm leaving for the Kid's position.

Heya John, and welcome X-D I'm a big fan of Star Wars (as you can probably tell by my name). As for Bionicle, our moderator Jinzo would be the one to see (if he ever turns up again that is...) I hope you enjoy this community :-)

European or American, who is the better builder?
Starwars4J replied to morris's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think that's the problem though, it's very hard, almost impossible to be completely detached :-/ Why do we need to judge anyway? This isn't a competition, it's a fun hobby. We should just have fun :-) -

Starwars4J replied to morris's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How do you know you judged them as if you didn't know them? It could've been subconscious ;-) -
That made me sad :-( *gives you a Lego cookie*
-
Phew, thank goodness! I was beginning to think you cheated on me, Jipay ;-) :-P It's really amazing to see how this website has grown in this past year or two. I'm just glad that it's able to grow and maintain status while still having a free and fun atmosphere. Something most sites can't accomplish.

Admiral 4J to Lord *vader*: Wonderful news, my Lord. I've just arrived at the Death Star with that Chiss you wanted to speak with.
