  1. It actually wasn't a bad movie, I liked the little Matoran. My one gripe is that they didn't make them look...menacing enough, though the statue thing was a NICE touch
  2. I think he was right about the school thing though, I mean you numbered things 1, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2 :-D :-P Personally I find racing to be really boring...most sports are really boring to be honest. Give me a good story, something with depth and I'll be satisfied :-)
  3. What part are you up to though? 11 hearts aren't gonna be much at the Cave of Ordeals :-P
  4. I think he was kidding ;-) If anything bricklinking the piece would be cheapest. And seeing the scale of his MOCs, I wouldn't doubt that he's sunk a small fortune into that place
  5. A village to plunder? camps? fighting other armies? I agree it's dead now, but it could've lasted another year I think
  6. Actually the red ghost was a fake. I talked to someone who knows the guy in person. Why do you think it was on sale on bricklink for only a few hours? Even at that insane price nobody would buy it. Because it was fraudulent. The guy took a ghost and painted it red. The only legit red prototype is that track...at least that is known by the public. I would give so much for a prototype >_>
  7. Army building has long been one of the favorite activities of Lego enthusiasts, with one of the first well known army builders being the Knights Procession set. Since then I'm sure we've all seen some armies that tell a lot about their owners. Some are customs, and some are direct copies of figures. I've seen one or two EB army pics, but I figured we could have a place to post ours! Just a few rules before posting: 1. Please make sure the images are small. Some people may have internet access that makes loading pages with large images a real pain. 2. If you update your army, or start a new one, instead of making a new post, just edit your first post. 3. Remember to deeplink the pictures since most won't be moderated by the time they're posted. 4. There is no number 4 :-P Feel free to give a little background too! I'll start the thread off (also, please don't mind the setting of my pics, I took them when I was home on the kitchen table). First my Dragon Knight army. Led by a Mage King, this army seeks utter domination of the land. Their army isn't the strongest yet, or the most well put together, but it is growing steadily and could become a fearsome force over time Next is another army that opposes the Dragon Knights and competes for domination, the Armies of the Necromancer. He calls back the souls of the dead to their bones, and they take up arms against those that they once walked among. They have little will of their own, but are fearsome opponents: fast, strong, and their bones need to be shattered for them to be taken out. Four special warriors serve as his generals, and wield the weapons of a double bladed axe, a greatsword, a spear, and a katana. Keep in mind that the armies are from the dead soldiers of many other armies, so there is great variation in weapon choice, fighting style, armor, and helms. Beyond those four is another Shadow General, a former assassin who wields two knives as well as a large black scimitar on his back, known in life as the Heavyblade assassin. Even further beyond are two more souls. One is a black skeleton, the pinnacle of what a necromancer can summon, these black skeletons are the underworld's elite, ripped from hell itself and restored to their bones. The evil they've done and that they've absorbed in hell turns their bones as black as their soul. Finally the last one is a soul that the Necromancer gives free will, but has altered his mind. He fooled this poor soul into believing that he is the Grim Reaper, and gave him one of the three great swords. The three great swords are the Muramasa (the sword from hell), the Masamura (the sword from heaven), and the Demon's Bane (the sword from the mortal realm). The Demon's Bane is immensely powerful, but still lost to the ages. The Masamura is similarly lost, but always remains equal in power to the Muramasa via the link they share. The Muramasa gains power by sapping all life from whoever it touches, even its wielder. To solve this, the man became a Necromancer in order to summon creatures who could wield this sword for him, creatures who had no energy to drain. This false reaper travels the land, taking life as he sees fit to maintain the "natural order". Here's my Space army. This area of my "universe" is a parallel almost to the one from Star Wars (not so much in plot, but because I was lazy). Meaning there is an Empire, there is a Rebellion, and there are Stormtroopers. However everything else is different. Here is the space army: While most of those may seem to be stormtroopers, the back left area is comprised entirely of custom soldiers, who I'm currently trying to make more of. As for the stormies, I've considered replacing their helms to make them less "stolen" from Star Wars, but those things are expensive...eh A shot of one of the custom troops: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/starwars...sc_00130001.jpg So please, share with us your armies!
  8. Er...I'm not entirely sure, but I think you might have posted this in the wrong place (I can still tell you placed a lot of effort into the piece though :-) )
  9. Well I ordered them awhile ago, but they're not here yet. I think they were removed due to selling out probably
  10. Admiral 4J to Lord *vader*: My Lord, my apologies for being out of contact for the last few days. While making a trip through Hutt space to reach The Kid, it seems they tried to set up a blockade. Complete communications blackout. Thankfully the Hutts were rather...unorganized, so they were dealt with swiftly, but I think their space needs to have higher security. They've been worried about losing their criminal organization's control for too long, and are getting out of control. And as far as I am aware, the Empire does not cater to criminals. I believe a few corrupt Lieutenants are in need of discipline... Heading out again. Should be there by this time tomorrow.
  11. Admiral 4J to Lord *vader*: Yes, my Lord. I'll conduct a search personally.
  12. As for the Gold Chrome greatsword we've already had one of those for awhile
  13. Happy Birthday! Best wishes as always
  14. I'd have to agree on several points. The boss fights are jokes (more epic than difficult). Near the end they'd put a key in a chest in the same room as the lock! That isn't Zelda... There was just so much more potential. I look forward to phantom hourglass and the next Zelda Wii game (which has already been in production for a year) to raise the bar back up to OoT original standards. Especially since this was the "last 3-D zelda of its kind"
  15. Actually we do have a series of about 6 cameras around the perimeter of the house... 8-|
  16. Beautiful, what an artist
  17. This should help ;-)
  18. There is no hard proof yet. But we do have people who have very reliable sources and have never been wrong before. Just trust them, if they say there'll be a Hoth Set, there will be a Hoth Set ;-)
  19. Fantastic as always, but on Davey Jones, are you planning on putting his boot decal all the way around the leg, or just keep it up front?
  20. But this can be made from existing pieces, it takes more new moulds to make it one *wacko*
  21. I dunno Hobbes, with those holes on the side, I'd be inclined to believe that it's just a prelim design and that it'll be more pieces in the final product. At least I hope so...there's no reason to make it just one *sad*
  22. Wow, if that vig and diamond are true to scale, she must have gotten quite the shock :-P Congrats! Many happy years to you both!
  23. Finally! Thanks sne ;-) I figured the head moved too. And if you look CLOSELY the far hand almost seemed to be rotated slightly, though it really looks like it could be a trick of the light. I'm pretty sure it's just arm/head/leg
  24. I just hope this inspires a redesign of the AT-AT
  25. In your opinion it is ;-)
