Goobles is a down-on-his-luck clown I invented in fifth grade. I just redrew him after reading some old nonsensical stories I wrote about him years ago. Octavio Stopak was once a jolly baker, who went on vacation one day and descended into the depths of a distant jungle. There, the natives gave him a baby monkey named "A'hool" who he nurtured and raised. Of course, as monkeys are wont to do, it gradually stole his soul. Now A'hool, the brains of the two, runs a criminal organ-grinding business in which Octavio shambles around mindlessly grinding his organ and the monkey steals distracted people's money. (A'hool's name is from here.)

Prank photo. I wore these giant 80's glasses and jetted my hair back last year for my school photo, for example. Next year I'm thinking of a fez...

I'm gonna have to go with Ikki on this one. I've always associated the elements very much with their regions, so in my opinion Air is probably the easiest element to replace- It's color fits plants, they always live in plant-filled regions, etc. Still, though, I'd like to keep air.

So here's my new school ID. I'm wearing a monocle in it. And that's awesome.

Probably. "Traduce" actually means to violate or betray someone. Not translate.

Picture, please?

I'm confused. So the Nuva, who are "Shades" awaken Mata Nui, who awakens the Ignika...?

(Post lifted from BZPower. You may vote for it here if you want it canon.) Category: Art: Hand-Drawn Member: -Wrinkledlion X- Weapon Name: "Nihu-Motara" Energy Siphon Blade Bio: Orders were placed for the “Nihu-Motara” Energy Siphon Blade shortly before the Great Cataclysm. When Makuta Teridax took over Metru Nui by posing as Turaga Dume, he found many uses for the Toa defending the city- While most were merely sent to be killed by his hired Dark Hunters, two Toa were sent for a much more productive purpose. Nihu, a Toa of Water, and Motara, a Toa of Stone, were shipped off to Xia to act as test-subjects for the new weapon, which would, like a Vorahk, be capable of absorbing a Toa or other being’s life force and channeling it through the blade. The Energy Siphon Blade, which would only later come to be named after them, was given a series of prongs at the blade’s tip that, when scraped against, stabbed into, or even firmly pressed against a being, would absorb its raw strength and energy, both powering the sword and weakening the opponent. This made it a very effective tool against Toa, Skakdi, and other powerful beings. Three models were produced- Model B, Model C, and Model D. B was designed for Toa-sized beings, C for titan-sized beings, and D, through the use of Shrink- and Enlarge-Kanoka, can change size to accommodate a Makuta’s shape-shifting. (It is not available to anyone but the Brotherhood.) Originally a Model A was conceived for Matoran-sized beings, but it was deemed unprofitable and was scrapped early on. It is not without its disadvantages, however- Though testing on Toa Nihu showed it to be highly effective on beings of low or average strength, testing on Toa Motara demonstrated that it can absorb only so much power from the stronger elements such as Stone, Earth, and Iron. They generally have a stronger resistance to it. It is assumed that it can also control the life force of a Makuta, but the Brotherhood has outlawed testing of this nature with punishment of death. And a note: Though technically its official name is "'Nihu-Motara' Energy Siphon Blade," nobody in their right mind would call it by such a name in everyday speech. Most either abbreviate or refer to it as the "Nihu-Motara." If you're wondering, it's all been approved by Greg. I know it uses new characters, but he's OKed it. I also thought I'd give the Xians their own font. Circles and hexagons had been used up, but triangles hadn't and they seemed like they'd be fitting. Also, I gave Makuta Teridax a little seal up in the top right corner based on this old symbol. It used to appear on everything related to him, and I was a bit disappointed when the atlas came out and I found out that the Brotherhood had a separate symbol. It seems only logical to me that it should represent him, at least. Also, the weapon's appearance was inspired by this.

Greg says the Red Star is visible from the 2009 location, but it won't play a significant role for a long time.

Who's Nif? I was the one that posted those.

Well they all looked liked the same team. Anyways, does anybody else think Tarduk's mask looks kind of like an overgrown Krana?

Very different face. No plus-rod hole mouth, different overall shape, different eye-positioning. Plus the Kanohi attach a different way and, though Av-Matoran do have plus-rod holes in the back of their heads, it doesn't appear that the Kanohi here are long enough in the rear. Anyways, I've been gone a few days. These are from many pages back. Wasn't Slizers almost solely about battling each other? I don't remember it very clearly, but I think that that's what it was like. Based on the amount of different regions in the background, I tend to doubt that it primarily takes place at one location like that. I think that maybe there are multiple arenas. Otherwise, cool. But the asymmetrical spikities were the coolest part of him! Exactly what I was thinking. Anyways, I'm still really liking Skrall. The new build looks good from what I can see, and overall he looks really consistent from an aesthetic standpoint. The maze on his shield, the pattern on his forehead, and the pattern on his swords all look very legendary. Also, does anyone think Malum's mask looks like a movie-style Great Huna? ...On fire?
-
Of course not. Look at Berix.
-
I tend to doubt that. As I said earlier: So there are three evil-related names. Skrall, however, looks pretty darn evil in my opinion, so I'd venture a guess that there are four strikingly evil characters. At this point, however, I doubt that they'd have four villains and two heroes in one line. Assuming, however, that all the more benign-looking ones (Tarix, Gresh, Malum) are heroes, you still have to account for the fact that "Malum" is Latin for "evil." I doubt this would be a mistake or a coincidence. So that leaves us with three possibilities: -It's split with 4 villains and 2 heroes (Unlikely) -They're all villains, but two look relatively benign (Not unlikely- If this is based on Greek/Roman Mythology, many of the evil figures look largely like any of the heroes) -They're all morally ambiguous gladiators who fight just for their villages (I like this idea, and it fits fairly well with Greg's statement that we're starting out simple- There wouldn't be very high stakes, etc.)

Pictures are down.

Oh so I see. Interesting. Anyways, did anyone notice how much those pillars in the background look like Kini-Nui? A really big Kini-Nui?
-
How can you tell about the waist? And all I see is a tan pin in the center of his shield. Whatjamean? I'd like that. It would be cool to be able to root for whoever's your favorite.

Skrall looks pretty evil to me... But then again, so does Onua Mata, Nuparu Inika, Onua Mistika, and a large quantity of the black sets. So I suppose it's a bit too soon to judge.
-
Well, Vorox, Strakk, and Skrall all seem visibly to be the villains, and, while the other three look fairly benevolent, keep in mind that Malum means "evil" in Latin. I tend to doubt that they'd release both villains and heroes at once, but in unequal numbers. Personally I hope these characters are all either villains who don't always look it, or a group of morally ambiguous characters.
-
Strakk reminds me of the faces in the backgrounds of the Slizer packages. And the Roborider faces remind me a bit of Antroz.

AGGGGHHH I WANT SKRALL

Oh, yeah. And, uh... Matoro... Still. ... Well we haven't seen it on a blue character in a while! Anyways, though "Atakus" isn't Latin, "Atticus" means "of great importance." Maybe he's the leader of the other small sets? It looks a bit orange-ish on the Impulse set to me. And I'm very sure that's gold on Tarix.
-
I translated what I could from Latin. "Malum" is "evil, misfortune, misdeed, crime, injury, damage." Skrall isn't Latin Gresh is "pace, the ability to walk" Tarix isn't Latin Strakk is "massacre, bloodbath, carnage, debris" Vorox is "to eat greedily, swallow up, consume, gorge oneself" Yeah, I'm pretty sure these are all villains. They wouldn't split heroes and villains 4 and 2 per group. Let's check the small sets: Atakus isn't Latin, but may be similar to English "Attack" Raanu isn't Latin Tarduk is "slow, late, tardy, sluggish" Berix isn't Latin Is that "Metus?" The pictures are too blurry... Zesk isn't Latin Can't tell with them. EDIT: Which one? Also, don't forget Berix's light blue. Haven't seen that since, what, 2003? Or was that on one of the Visorak...?

Yeah. It's likely that Matoran won't even be involved.
