  1. I love Leigh. I just want a different colorist next year...
  2. Also: Daygate Bushmaster, Chimneysweep Extraordinaire- Known to dive head-first down chimneys so as to clean them with his brush-helmet.
  3. 1) I would say after 2) Yes 'Kay, as far as I'm concerned, that's the 2009 location. Different element-themed locations, mythological-looking characters, etc...
  4. Sorry, guys, it's just pareidolia. 1) I see no face there, sorry. 1a) No, not possible. There would not be an image of Mata Nui in a Mistika game. Well it appears to have some pattern, it looks like. Is there any significance at all? Nothing I am aware of, no. You may just be seeing a coincidental pattern of lines the animator put in. I really don't see anything myself (and not trying to be misleading here, I honestly don't).
  5. Uh, BWK, the Kraken is pretty Scandinavian for a Greek theme. Still, those would be awesome themes.
  6. I'm safe, so I'll ask. Greg likes me a good deal.

    9/11

    It's terrible what happened.
  8. ^This guy's more win than Ghost Hau Metru^
  9. Reminds me of Kini-Nui architecture from Lego.
  10. A steampunk theme would be great, but I don't see why everyone seems to build up their expectations that this is a steampunk theme when they have no reason. Being disappointed about that is kind of absurd. (I could point to any line and say I'm disappointed it wasn't steampunk.)
  11. "Dad's Gonna Kill Me" by Richard Thompson.
  12. I don't know for sure that that's right... I was under the impression that "Tuma" was Latin and that they're using Latin words now because, as a dead language, they don't have to run it through legal. Tuma just happens also to be Maori, by chance, and it didn't get checked thoroughly enough.
  13. Maybe it's just the colorblindness talking, but they look yellow or tan to me. My favorite is the lower-middle one in this pic. Nice drill.
  14. That would be so awesome. Anyways, though overall he looks a bit dull, I'll probably buy Tuma for two reasons: -Good pieces (Head, green Skrall-swords) -First true Maori name in years (We must support it!) Also, has it occurred to anyone that Skrall's shield has a labyrinth-pattern on it? Perhaps the underground village is styled similarly to the Labyrinth of Greek Mythology?
  15. Well, Greg says he does have character flaws.
  16. Unfortunately, probably too late to do anything about it -- voice recording is already done for the movie. But I will pass the info on.
  17. Already sent it before I posted the discovery here. No need to fill up his inbox.
  18. I have no idea how they they overlooked this... I mean, this can't be wholly unintentional... It's Maori, and we're not even using the same naming-scheme next year! What are the chances of a coincidence?
  19. Oh my God, guys. Big news. "Tuma" is the name of a Maori god.
  20. I love the Codrex. Note that in the next image over the interior resembles Kini-Nui's towers.
  21. Yeah, I actually like the colors a lot, but I can see why others don't. I think they're kind of surreal and cool. They look just like the places in my dreams. Anyways, while I agree that part of the problem last year was Sayger getting lazy, for the most part I think it's had to do with the sets' gimmick each year. This year, though infinitely better, has a very photogenic location, but because the set-designers slapped wings and jets on everyone, we have to see the awesome illustrations in between shots of clouds. When we do see them, though, they're pretty darn cool. Last year the problem was even worse, because a deep-sea theme, combined with Sayger's laziness, meant most of the time we were swimming in front of a blank blue background. Occasionally we did get some good landcape images, though, like here and here. (And on rare occasions a cool character-illustration.)
  22. Doesn't really make a difference to me either way. I'm color-blind so I've learned not to be picky. Personally, I think it looks quite nice. EDIT: And I suppose it's partially due just to this year's location. Everything (Especially the first half of the year's location) is colored pretty blandly in most portrayals. Lots of grey.
  23. Gallagher's not in charge of the colors, the colorist is.
  24. 1. Google it. 2: At lego12: How observant! At VBBN: Never heard of it. Thanks you. 3. At lego12: Different squids have different tentacle-lengths. These are modeled off a couple of preserved squid I have here on my desk. 4: At lego12: Colors inspired by this. 5. See here.
