Jinnipher greeted the stranger in elvish. "Maybe." She shrugged. "But if dragons are as intelligent as they're made out to be, then it knew very well what it was doing. Actions have consequences. If someone pissed it off it should've calmed down before setting an island ablaze."
  2. Jinnipher nods her thanks. She had calmed down by now. "What good would a military be if you weren't going to fight with it? Perhaps there are some humans on Moone that can fight, but no organized force that I know of."
  3. "Who said I was a pacifist?" She unsheathed her blade halfway to show the sharp metal, then slid it back. "I learned long ago that standing by and letting things happen to you is a foolish way to live. This dragon is going down."
  4. Jinnipher gasped at the mention of the last quest. "Moone? ...My home. Why I have I not heard..." She looked worried for a while, but changed her expression to a look of determination. "Sign me up. What's left of my people must be saved. And I have not seen home in many years..." She whipped around towards the newcomer and shouted: "Shut up! Faust is no coward. You know nothing, ogre. Maybe your people never had to deal with their country being burned to the ground. Or sunk below the ocean." Her eye was twitching and her face red. She took a few deep breaths to calm down a little, but still kept her angry glare fixed on the ogre. "Weren't you listening!? This dragon burned down half of the country. It doesn't seem to be in a diplomatic mood. Besides, they probably have tried getting it to leave. My pe--the Moon Elves are pacifistic." She looked to the side and muttered to herself. "If only they could fight for themselves, then they wouldn't have to rely on these ignorant fools to save them." This time her voice didn't hold malice, but sadness.
  5. The elf raised an eyebrow. So that what the smell was. "I'm sure you're just gorgeous." She finished off her mead and set the mug back down on the bar. "Jinnipher. So tell me Sorrow, what has been happening with Heroica lately? Any imminent threats that I should be aware of? You people do still go out and you know, hero, right?" Her tone was somewhere between sarcastic and concerned.
  6. Jinnipher crinkled her nose. The hooded man had a strange smell about him. She acknowledged his outstretched hand with a nod. "Sorrow... I don't suppose you're life has been filled with joy." The sides of her mouth played their way into a smirk. "Happy people don't hide their faces under a hood."
  7. Jinnipher casts a sideways glance towards the goblin-giant hybrid and redheaded woman with a mask who were sitting down the bar from her. "Who was that supposed to be? I don't know many people who can drink like that." She takes a long sip from her own drink while peering at the two 'heroes' over the rim of the mug. A cursory glance at the elf's dark brown eyes would suggest she was bored, but if one was caught in her gaze it would appear as though she was judging her target, analyzing every move with a hint of either slight amusement or reserved caution; it was impossible to tell.

  11. The doors to Heroica Hall opened, letting a soft summer breeze in. To almost everyone present it would seem a new face had joined the ranks, but in fact the figure entering was an old member returning from years after leaving the organization. An event had struck Heroica to its very core, and all of its members of the time vanished, either by choice or death. The doors slammed shut behind the visitor. An elf with pale skin stepped forward, taking long strides across the entryway. She moved with grace, and her tall and slender form seemed to glide across the floor. She was clad in blue clothes over glimmering silver chain mail armor, which clinked softly with every step. One perfectly manicured hand held a round shield, while the other rested gently on the pommel of a sheathed blade. Flowing chestnut hair reached halfway down her back and hung loosely over her shoulders and in front of her pointed ears. From afar she seemed to have the physical traits typical of most elves, though her pallid skin tone revealed that she was from the island of Moone. However, anyone looking closely at her face would notice sharp, angular cheeks and jaws, light freckles below her impossibly dark brown eyes, and most importantly, pursed lips and slightly raised eyebrows that indicated a slight annoyance with her environment. Jinnipher Buchaire made her way to the saloon, where she took a seat and set down her shield. She took a moment to look around the Hall, and crinkled her nose at the sight. "Hmph. They'll let just about anyone in here these days. Guess they have to after recruitment went down after..." she trailed off and turned towards the bar. The orcish barmaid was cleaning glasses while inspecting the newcomer. "Hello Scheherezade, did you miss me? Not much has changed around here, has it? Same old wannabe-warriors trying to save the world?" "Heh? Do I know you?" "I suppose it's been a long time. Never mind, I'll have a mead." Jinnipher grumbled something under her breath. "Now who's here to stop the Nephilim from walking in? Nothing's changed at all." She grumpily drank from her mug.

  14. Hybros looks at each of his partymates that would be staying, along with the crew. "Good luck to you as well." He turned and looked over the railing down to the ocean. His stomach turned. He realized he wasn't a natural swimmer.
  15. Hybros is thrown about as the waves hit the ship and rain pours onto the deck. He tries to use his wings to steady and balance himself, and looks up at the fort as the Bonapartes and remaining Crimson Crown cronie fire off the cannons at their own admiral. As the Magpie crew members show their gadgets, he shakes the water out of his hat. The light of dawn reflects off of his eyes, causing them to shine a bright red-orange. "Daneeka never fails to impress, eheh." He raised his voice over the pounding rain. "If it is as easy as you make it sound, we will make quick work of the Apocalypse. I, Dyric, Thalion and Erik will go. Hoke and Torc can help scout ahead and with Guts and Em, protect the ship. Unless you can sneak a dragon underwater, heheh."

  17. This quest just gets better and better. Heckz and Peri lost the race, but now they get the chance to gain even more gold and XP from the goblins, but with higher risk. Sarge is going to fight the lions for the treasure, also for an added risk. I really like that even though the party made an unexpected decision to "solve" the puzzle, the QM responded with a solution that isn't an outright punishment, but raises the stakes by offering a greater risk and a greater reward.
  18. I think Dragoon is fine as it is. This argument came up because someone said it was unfair to be able to "level up" a dragon even if you weren't a Dragoon, i.e. switched back out immediately. It's not the coolest thing to do, but you could roleplay that as the dragon training on their own, or as the ex-Dragoon training with them off-screen. There doesn't need to be a penalty to the class (I'm fine with the small one of only being able to gain XP if both Dragoon and dragon are standing), because no other class has a written penalty.
  19. Just an FYI for you Kinto, throwing weapons must be retrieved from the front row (though multiple throwing weapons can be retrieved at the same time).
