Very cool, thanks! I could use this in the future for some random Jedi. I'm sure a Mod/Admin will move this to the proper place when he sees it, so don't worry guys.

I just got this set from TRU (well, where else would I get it?) today, and I love it! one of the best SW sets this year! I really like Fox, the dark red armor and detailed torso really give him a sense of uniqueness among the other commanders (not just Rex and Cody, the other guys too, like Gree). This was an easy build and a nice break from all of the bigger sets I've gotten recently. And you can't not love that droid commander! Plus, mine came with an extra twisted droid arm, a regular droid arm, and ( ) an extra blaster pistol (the regular black ones)! What surprises me is that it is almost equal in price to the V-19 (which was $40). Yes, it's limited edition, but I guess the V-19 must be an extra sweet deal!

Like NerdFighter said, that was actually pretty funny. If only they used this as the T.V. ad for the sets... -
The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One
JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sorry for my absence lately, I've been rather busy. Alright, folks, I think it's time to end this chapter. We leave off at most of the players (don't know exactly who, can someone please clarify?) retreating the area of Utapau that they were in. Before Butcher, Thox, and Annix were captured, they learned that the CIS were making a time machine[/s suit (an idea) to go back in time to stop the republic from ever being made, so that the CIS would rule the galaxy. We have lost two of our players, Palin Jax (for the time being, I doubt he will ever return), and brickbreaker (banned... someone please kill him off ). From now until August 30th, all people who wish to join the comic game should do so. All newcomers, please read the rules on the first page of this thread. Also, when Chapter 3 starts, feel free to make a new banner like Oky Wan's. One's in the works for me, but still, everyone is welcome to make theirs, and I hope all players decide to put their favorite banner in their sig. So, get prepared for the next chapter, and join up, non-players! -
Sounds cool, sign me up! Although I've done some reviews before, more advice is always a good thing.

Wow, I am liking this story more and more every time, great work, Sandy! I really love all of the detail and thought you have put in to the dioramas, such as the clutter of books and goblets in Fabuland's tower, or the scattered shrubbery and pebbles in the badlands. Before I get too ahead of myself, I should start from the beginning. I love the tower, with all of the clutter of the wizard's home. What oeice did you use for the glass orb? It looks like a marble to me... Anyways, the rooftop is very nice, I like how you left part of it open, so its not too detailed to be confusing. I also liked how you scattered the slopes to give a half-wrecked feel to it. Nice choice of a head for the evil wizard, very menacing. And very nice photoshopping with the flames; they give it a realistic feel, but not too much to make it un-lego-ish. I love how you made the elves very detailed with a lot of individual character traits and the way that they aren't typical "storybook" elves. Good way of explaining the jewels with a different scene, and how they are the primary colors (I usually count green as a primary). Green for forests (and I like the change of hands that this jewel has gotten into, very original), blue for sea (the orgres sailing is a unique idea), red for underground (I look forward to seeing Dwarves in this story), and and yellow for light (those above? you like angels? or perhaps dragons? A surprise to look forward to!). The only thing I would have done different is give the jewels some sort of power trait (you know me with the elemental stuff! ) such as yellow giving the power to fly, etc. At first, I thought that using the name Legolas was very uncreative, but then I got the pun. The badlands are very cool, I like the big ribcage and dead horse, nice use of the skeleton horse peice. Lastly, (whew, finally!) the ending was very well done. I like the throne, and the corpse of the king. And nice gate, it really looks like one! All in all, a very excellent story so far, your MOCing skills are superb, (where is that "Expert MOCer" tag?!) and the balance realistic things and such are perfect. It is always a pleasure reading these, and when the story is over I hope you continue to do more Princess Quest adventures and other great MOCs. Just amazing, great job, Sandy!

Nicely done. I can see that you put a lot of time and creativity in this, good work.
-
Oh, really? Thanks for pointing that out. But what I meant was that Cody and the trooper have the same faces in this set.
-
Welcome, RouteMaster, I hope you enjoy it here!

Then if it wasn't KimT, I don't know who gave mine to me... Could have been Bonaparte, since he's been seen around the SW a lot lately... must have been him.

Thanks you two! rrigs, I think I will do that, thanks!

Looks cool! When did that Creator set come out? Did you completely base it off of the official MINI's or did you use your imagination? I like how you used the "teeth" pieces for the guns, good job!
-
It's nothing special, IMO now that I've seen it. It would cost you $30 for the two sets, and maybe $20 for the clones, which I would wait for a Clone BP to come out (Phase 1).

Some nice creations there, TNR. I like the jetpack, JSF, and scenes. AT first, I thought the bacta tank was a mini, but it's a health canister? Cool idea. For your JSF, I like it better when you move the droid and insignia back towards the cockpit. Great work!

Okay, thanks for the links. I prefer purist for my MOCs, and I hardly ever like using head decals for heads, thanks though. If I ever need them though, I can use LuxorV's amazing Matrix decals.

Nah, in my opinion, they ruin the whole fig. You can't remove the head or the saber from the rest, and I basically think it would be better if you can remove the blades from the handles, not to mention that the handles are ugly. Plus, it ruined the lightsaber in the Clone Turbo Tank for the people who bought it right away, since it was our only purple lightsaber.

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you some Matrix figure ideas that I had lately. There is a creation in the works, but I can't tell because there might be a contest on movie scenes, discussed here. So, for Neo, I think this head or this head would work nicely with Mutt's hair (brown or black? it's hard to tell) and a Luke torso with black legs, and possibly a trench coat made by unknown artist or mmcb (could someone tell me how to contact these people?). If I were to make the scene in the original Matrix where Neo and Trinity infiltrate the building where Morpheus is held prisoner, I could get a ton of Brickarms and attach the to Neo with rubber bands. For Smith, I could use this head (I think this head is perfect!) with a regular black suit and tie and generic black hair. For Mr. Reagan (I can't remember his nickname right now), I could use this head or this head I don't know about the torso yet. For Trinity, there are no female heads with sunglasses, so any suggestions for a head without them that suits her? I might use Irina Spalko's hair, but any suggestions? I will use either Juno Eclipse's or Catwoman's torso. For Morpheus, I can't find a good black head with sunglasses, but maybe one without could work... I have a look at that thread in the Pirate forum about black figs. So, what do you guys think? Which heads and torsos should I use? Thank you for your help.

What? LEGO is a toy... and toys are focused on kids... can't get any simpler than that! I really don't see Halo being made into a LEGO theme. Sure, it's popular enough, but I say leave it to the MOCers. Just go to MOOpages.com to see how many Halo MOCs people make.

That post made me laugh really hard...! Yes, the title is misleading, but I meant the pic. It was so real, it looked fake. And now a line from the Matrix... "How do you define 'real'? Something that you can touch, taste, smell?" or bleed...
-
Seconded. At first I was thinking that this was really realistic, but then I read that it was real blood. Kind of gross if you ask me. Remind me never to trade with you on the BST forum.

Nice review AGAIN, Skipper. I passed on this one because of the price, but it's a nice set. Good for you for getting the newer version with non-LUL Mace and an extra clone. That purple blade sure is a beauty. The tank itself is alright, just an AT-AT on wheels, in my opinion. The turret is great, though, and so is the speeder bike. I didn't realize that the jet pack had two "nailguns" (harpoon guns) on it. I thought that the nailgun was a new piece... but the jetpack is very cool.

20004 Indiana Jones BrickMaster Exclusive Review
JimBee replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice review! I would like to get this set... unfortunately I don't get Brickmaster mag, and the prices on BL/ ebay will most likely be ridiculous. I wonder why Indy doesn't come with his murse (man purse) in this set? Thats the best part of the fig. The jeep itself is very nice, especially with the dark green. By the way, what is frown? Brownish... something, I guess. Oh yeah, and funny comic. -
I got one...! I bet KimT gave to me. Member Skipper 24 has a title "Smartass SW reviewer" from reviewing a ton of SW sets and being a smartass in the 2009 picture thread. I got mine because I reviewed a lot (5, if that's a lot) of SW sets, but I'm not a smartass. So I'm a megablock? That's not very nice, KimT! Ah well, at least I got a title. EDIT: censored word was dumba**

Looks awesome, but I'm not too interested, especially if its almost 6000 peices (which is around 600 USD). Good luck to those who are buying it (and their wallets).

The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One
JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hm, maybe you are right... I guess people don't have time... it's really hard to make MOCs at short notice like this... so everyone needs to cooperate and post pics in order for this to work... I think we should wait for more people to post pics before we shut this down... I don't know yet...
