Thanks! I won't be using this one until I get the proper pieces though (good thing I didn't request it). Have a fun time on your vacation, I bet you're tired of making decals.

Number 1, because it's "Number 1". All of the entries were great, too bad one was disqualified. Some other ones that I liked were 2, 3, 5 and 6, but 1 got my vote.

I wouldn't put the accessories in the boxes, because the antennae could fall out. I just keep mine in the extra bag, and wait to use them for something else. Plus, the flashlights can be held in a minifig's hands.

Eurobricks Clone Wars Building Contest
JimBee replied to Clonecommando007's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Phew, I was getting worried there, Oky wan! Just in time! I really like your entry! The story idea was good, the AT-TE is great, the half-sunken custom LAAT is sweet, and the whole thing is so detailed! I saw some really clever techniques in there, like Anakin deflecting a bullet, Ahsoka force pushing, the blown-up Dwarf Spider Droid, and the swampy feel to the whole thing. Great job, this is really going to be a tough competition, and I look forward to seeing more pics when you get that upload space! -
Why not just minimize the pic?

You know, Grevious, you have some very good points in there. I agree that asking members to have perfect grammar/ punctuation/ capitalization is a little bit of an overkill, but then again, some members do need to improve on those things. And Bonaparte did say (I think) that messages have to be meaningful. He shouldn't even have to say these things, every member should have read them when they first joined!

JimBee replied to JimBee's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
From left to right: Simonjedi Skipper24 Brickbreaker (feel free to kill him off, someone) MacK Oky Wan Kenobi Jim Butcher Lt. Col. Thok The Death Star Vader's Son Palin Jax (no longer playing) Wouwie (on vacation or something). I'll cross off Palin Jax and brickbreaker from the list, but not remove them since they were part of the game. -
Here you go: (Sorry for the short post).

Eurobricks Clone Wars Building Contest

Nice entries, babyjawa and commanderbly42. The Grievous Escape vig is really cool, and cleverly built. And the Tri-droid in that bignette is cool as well, and I like the inclusion of Mace Windu. -
Awesome! I don't remember seeing this vehicle in the movies, but it looks very accurate to the picture (besides the color). The size is good too, enough to maybe be a real set. My only criticism is that the inner legs should have more of an angle from the outer legs, like the reference pic.

Yes, I agree completely, if it's an adult website (by that I mean in a clean way), people of all ages should act like one. Your first word in that post: It's "you're" instead of "your" in this case

Hello everyone, this is a topic for all of the custom creations I make for SirNadroj's TOYS Military Faction All new creations will be put in this first post. Medical Unit: This unit goes around in battle and heals all of his wounded allies using multiple tools found in his pack and first-aid kit. You can spot him easily by his blue and white uniform. Never get in his way. Pilot Unit: This unit drives the huge bi-planes used by the TOYS army. Feedback is welcomed!

Very cool plane, Sinner . I really like how you photographed these pics. It's a shame you didn't enter the Indy contest with this one.

Very funny entry, millacol88 ! The clones were hungry so they made that small lunch base in the middle of battle? Thanks pedro, I might BL that piece. The padawan looks like he's sleeping because of his pose: it looks like he just laid down for a nap. Now, if he was facing down, with legs and arms sprawled (or something like that), he would look like he's dead better. -
If I may, I think he means that Eurobricks is becoming more strict, and drifting away from the reason why it was created: so LEGO fans could have a forum where it wasn't as strict, like FBTB is. I'm not saying anything to argue against the staff and it's decisions, this is just a point of view.

Well, nice to meet you, dill. I knew someone that has been on this site for a while wouldn't do something like that out of the blue, and a lot of us suspected you'd been hacked. Welcome back!

Heath Ledger Joker *V.1 Finished*
JimBee replied to SirNadroj's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Nice work, SirNadroj (and your friends who made the trench/ decal). Somehow, though, the decal doesn't really look like the Joker, but does have that LEGO feel to it. -
Hmm, interesting ideas you have there, SirNadroj. I might attempt to make some, but the rules are very strict. I understand that it is your idea, and are generous to let people join in, and I respect that, but the rules might make it hard to be really creative. I see what you mean by 'building blocks'. Its just like those little foam blocks, right? Well, like I said, I'll try to make some. Oh, and great ideas, by the way.

I have to say, you have a very impressive biggnette there, pedro. I did look through the BS pages, and I love how much detail you've added. The dying clones (especially the falling pilot) were cleverly positioned, as were the droids. I like the captain sneaking behind the rocks, that really brings out the feel of urgency and panic. I also like the inclusion of the custom hair. The padawan could have been posed better, because it looks like he's sleeping, but I do like the choice of the head you used. Do you remember which set you got that one in? And most importantly, I love your custom ship, is it a recolored Republic Cruiser? Also, the crab droid is very cool. -
If it's the newer version with non-LULS Mace Windu and an extra clone, and if you really want this over the new Clone Wars sets (if you haven't got them already), then go for it. I wasn't able to get this one while it was in stores, but it looks really good. If you want a review, check in KimT's index, there might be a review there.
-
Very nice review . It answered all of my questions about this set. But, I'm still unsure whether to buy this set or not. The ship is great, sleek and such, but the figs I could do without. And the price is a little much at the moment for me, especially with all of the other cool Clone Wars sets, and some other sets from different themes that I would like to get. If I some extra money on me after I get those sets, maybe I will pick this one up. But you certainly convinced me that this one isn't as bad as I expected, after all.
-
It's possible, but which part did I do wrong? 1. That's true, but same thing with me; I won't be storing it in there. 2. Yes, a minor gripe. 3. Plastic slope? I always got my cloth materials in LEGO sets in that little white box. 4. Yes, an extra set of clone gear is found in both the AT-TE and RGS, which is very nice. 5. Yes, I completely agree. 6. I don't mind them much, but don't necessarily need them. 7. That's a phrase I haven't heard before.
-
I'm not sure what you mean... of course, I love that set, and love the clones, I'm not complaining.

Some of my friends make fun of me for being a LEGO geek (which I admit, I am), but they don't really care, and leave it at saying "You play with LEGO? That's nerdy", which I don't mind, and I still remain friends with them. If your friends really are your friends, then they should care less about what you like to do. They liked you as a friend before they knew you played with LEGO, right? Then they shouldn't shun you for liking it. If they do, I guess they really aren't your friends, but hey, their loss.
