Curse you, ben. Now I'm going to have to buy this set. Nice review, I was glad to get a full look at this set. It's definitely better than what I originally thought, and much more finished looking that the Republic Cruiser. My favorite part would have to be the little office. I like the medium blue carpet and how sleek the desk/ controls are. I also like the booster lights (I think they're supposed to be blue or orange) and how the two escape pods make up part of the ship's body. Still, I'm thankful they weren't stickers. The half-cones being trans-clear is an added bonus. That would be hilarious! Like I said on the Flickr photo that JD shared with us in the news thread, I can see this being used in a lot of creations, even with the chin strap (although a yellow one without the strap would be nice). I also agree that this is overpriced, but I think the set is potentially worth it. Oh, and does it look like Leia has misprinted face as well as the smooth hair? Her lips seem thinner and lower compared to the head from the 6212 X-Wing.

Oh, so many hilarious quotes, but these two come to mind: Sandy: "Pssh, we don't need a vote, we're a lynch mob!" and Svelte: "Here, have some chocolate covered nuts, the Schmelt in your mouth". Thnks once again for the awesome game, TB.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Discussion

Dun dun dunn! Nice ending, Brickster. While I'm glad it finally ended, I'll miss this game. I had lots of fun, and I always looked through the old chapters if I needed a laugh. Thanks to TheBrickster for hosting, and all of the players who participated and made this game possible. I'll be sure to sign up for future Brickster mysteries. -

Yesh! Thanks so much for including me, Draggy. As I was reading down the list, I felt a little issapointed that I didn't get in. But then there it was, way at the bottom. This is going to be one helluva game with such a great lineup. I'm sure it will be fun playing with you on your first mafia game. I'm glad you decided to join. You too, ISC. I don't remember you playing a mafia game before, but I'm almost sure you have. To everyone else, it will be great playing with all of you again. Can't wait. EDIT: I just noticed that I missed Prof. Flitwick and TinyP. Looking forward to playing alongside you two as well. -
Well, there have been Grand Dukes at one time. There was some sort of issue with SW4J being banned as a mod, then being let back to EB as a normal member (Grand Duke because of his post count), then being banned again. I also noticed that Phred was a GD for a short time before he was transferred to Fellow, after resigning/ quitting (I don't know for sure) his staff position. There are also a few members pretty close to becoming a GD. Captain Zuloo is the first to come to mind. That part about becoming a staff member for GDs was probably removed to not encourage post count boosting. And maybe the fact that only certain members get a staff position, regardless of post.

How cool. I'm not all that into the different clone markings and such, but here goes nothing. Helmet: Phase II Clone trooper, narrow, sharp visor (neon green, same color as Gree's visor), jaw armor spikes down on both sides with phase I style visor ends ending at the end of the spikes. What I mean by phase I style visors is like this one on the right: ...and six (three on each side) diagonal black stripes starting at the middle top of the helmet (near the fin), going outwards at about a 45 degree angle, crossing the the visor at the eyes. The rest of the helmet is light grey. Also, the cheek bone part should be a little inverted, so that the helmet isn't so fat looking like some Phase II helmets. A quick sketch? I'll see if I can draw one and take a pic of it. Armor: Shoulder, knee, and elbow armor should be the same shade of black as stripes on helmet. Cloth underneath armor should be lighter shade of black. Three stripes on each side of torso in the same fashion as the helmet stripes. Belt should be all be all black. Hand armor black. Accessories: Should be holding a regular blaster rifle (the small kind). DC- something. Name: Night Owl Rank: Sergeant Thanks for doing this, ADHO15. It must take a lot of work to take all of these requests that you'll be getting.

Happy belated Birthday, Bonaparte. Nice MOC, too.

Happy B-day to the three of you. Veebs, I hope you get some Lego sets to review. Just read your comment... Still, you're lucky. School started last week Tuesday for me.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 15

Now you're catching on. Men in capes never do real work. -
Nothing. Grand Duke is another word for "you spend way too much time on Eurobricks, get off the computer". But seriously, there isn't a set post-count rank after GD. At least, not yet.

Thanks for the picture finds. Thoughts: The Freeco Speeder looks pretty neat, and, for the most part, accurate. I'll have to watch that episode of the CW again, but I think the nose needs to be a little longer. The picture is too blurry for me to make a judgment on the figures just yet. The Tri-Fighter, to me, is amazing. I love how detailed it is, and I'll gladly take the rocket droids that I didn't get when I didn't get the Hyena. The TIE Defender is pretty neat as well: accurate, to scale, and with the new color scheme. Battle packs are just what I expected. I'm still unsure about the minifigures, though. There's something different about the ones in the Rebel BP. Landspeeder is alright. Nothing too different from previous versions, but I'm really excited about getting Ben in a cheaper set. I'm not too excited about the ARC, either. Besides the engines, there's not much of a difference between this and the one from 2005. One can only hope it's sturdier. I still can't get over the fact that TLG decided to remake a newer set when there are so many new set possibilities to be made before the license ends.

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 15
JimBee replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ho hum, if only I hadn't jumped off. That's only thanks to Shcmelt's teachings. Wait a minute... I sense a disturbance... my dear beloved Schmelt has been shot! I'd like to fasten my jacket into a cape, wrap it around my neck, and stand with one knee raised on the handcar, pointing into the distance. Jim Butcher to the rescue! -

Guys! I was just kidding! April fools! Wait up!! -
This was a tough one, but I ended up voting for Count Dooku's Solar Sailer. At the first sight of the prelim picture, I found the set design really horrible. But, after reading the reviews, my mind was completely changed, and it turns out that the prelim just had a bad angle. I now own this baby, and I have no regrets spending 60 USD for this "overpriced" set. Sleek, smooth, and with an awesome color scheme of dark tan, brown, and trans-purple, this is definitely my favorite set of 2009. Battle of Endor was great too, and I loved the Echo Base, Nemodian Shuttle, and Snail Tank sets (even though I don't own all of the yet).

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 15

Bricks? This handcart is made out of pure ABS plastic metal. I don't think we'll be able to combine any of the transports that way. We could grab the handcar, and ride it to where we are now, but lift it off the tracks and put it back on the other track, so that we can avoid Cassandra's Crossing and get to Auburn. In the meantime, I'd like to pull out my handgun that I found in the mill cellar in case Killn' George or whoever else is wandering around town jumps out at us and tries to kill us. EDIT: megabluck! Wait up!!! -

Welcome to the club, Pete. It's nice to see that I won't be the only one living for a while longer. Maybe if Arin had actually jumped off, we could have interrogated her. Oh well, I guess she's better off at the bottom of the ravine where she can't cause any more trouble. Let me check... -

*Yells back to the engine* Yes, unless you want to fall into the ravine. I can't hear you! This open air doesn't have the same echo as the tunnel! -

Wheeee! Cassandra's Crossing dead ahead! I'd like to push Arin off the engine, and then jump off after. I suggest the rest of you follow, unless you want to join Bulldog... -
It's awesome that you wanted to get Shadows so bad. And I was right, wasn't I? I was actually convinced that Stash wasn't an investigator after I died, because I thought Shadows was lying to me about that, too. I just pinned it on WhiteFang because if I told you it was Shadows, you wouldn't believe me.

Whew, what a game. I had tons of fun in my first mafia game, so thanks TinyPies for hosting it (even though I "hate" you for putting me in that position) . To answer your question about converting, Hinckley, it was actually my idea to turn you. Shadows wanted to kill you, but I convinced him (or maybe it was something else...) to do that. That's the beauty of mafia games- the fun insanity and the twist that you never know what could happen next. Yeah, I hate you too. I never expected one of my own teammates to turn on me, although I should have read MC1 and taken a hint from my character description (saying that you were the second-in-command). I almost got out of it too, if it weren't for that meddling SW Regulator. So... it wasn't what you told me? I, on the other hand, loved it. I was so glad to be given a scum role for my first game. A few of my own thoughts- WhiteFang: You are without a doubt an excellent player. You seemed to know everyone's alliances, and I was cheering for you ever since I died. I was really hoping people would actually listen to your accusations against IS. Zapper Brick, Millacol, Sandy, and any others who supported me: Thanks, guys. I had no idea why Zapper was supporting me, I didn't even PM him. What was also wierd was that both Milacoll and Sandy came to me, instead of me sending PMs out to everyone. I was unaware that I was being voted off after logging on after coming back from a vacation or something, when I got a message from Sandy. She believed me to be loyal, even though she didn't investigate me (results would have been that I was loyal), and helped me defend against Shadows. Sandy, I'm thinking that you trusted me over him. And Milacoll actually sent PMs to everyone he thought to be loyal after asking me my alliance (of course I told him loyal...). I am grateful you believed me, though. One thing on Legios' role- As scum, we all reported to Shadows because he was the only one in our group that could use the CC function, to distribute each of our PMs to everyone else. I never learned that Legios had the power to block, so I'm wondering if he told Shadows and Shadows kept it from the rest of us (or at least me). Is this considered cheating, because we were relying on IS to share everything between our group, or is it okay since we should have sent individual PMs to everyone in the group, and not rely on IS? I'm not accusing SHadows of anything, just curious. Shadows: You were a great leader, especially since you were leading all first-timers (during the first few days). Too bad you had to kill me. And finally, thanks to all of the players who made this game enjoyable (that means everyone ).

*Whispers something in Schmelt's ear* *Jumps off the helicopter engine into the ocean... ground.* Oh wait... Killn' George already jumped. Hehe, no need for heroics, then. How about you? I'm pretty sure you were only holding my hand on the bridge to let me fall (and to piss off Schmelt) . We're not risking anything. They're both snakes trying to turn each other in for their own safety. Let's throw them both off. -

I'll be keeping two close eyes on you, mister. That's because I'm standing right behind him. Since it's your tractor, I suppose you can drive, Jeb. But I'll be comfortable running along side it, thanks.
