  1. Was it this crazy on Day 3 in Noir? I don't remember it that way. Ignoring the OOC and crap, I always found the rule where when the majority vote is reached, the day is over. I had the same problem in Noir, Hinck, because I was sleeping during my conviction, and I never got a chance to fight back before the day ended (actually, I did, but the conviction was already reached). For future games, I think this should be changed so that a full four/ five days pass before the game is over, no matter what.
  2. Hmm... not so sure about this set. The rock techniques are great, and the colors are pretty sweet (I would much rather have dark orange over pearl gold), the fogs are good... but the set design overall isn't that good. I wonder I how much this one will cost?
  3. These look great! I especially like those red vehicles and the one with the gold gates. What's up with the squid king? Is it just the upper body of a minifig attached to the top of an octopus piece, or is the octopus piece modified from the original? In any case, I'm loving all of the new head molds and prints.
  4. The Tri-Droid is absolutely awesome! The fins are so detailed, and I'll gladly snap those RBDs up. I like the bley helmet on the Imp Officer. It's always good to have color variety, and bley blends in to snow better than dark bley.
  5. Vote: William Harcourt/ Hinckley
  6. Potatoes? Sounds like a good lunch to me, thanks very much for the idea. And stew, of course! I shall put potatoes in the bean stew! You're a scholar, Miss! *sidles up* Now, on this business of the sorcerer and the wizard. I'm going to believe the Ambassador here, although I now believe that you were right on one part, Beatrice- one's the sorcerer and one's the wizard- it has to be those two. Hmm, you know what I think? I think you're blinded by your love for your husband. If he dies, you couldn't bear to live alone. You would die, as well. Your survival depends on his, and vice-versa. However, if what you say is true, if Mister Harcourt here does end up dying, so do you and the Ambassador. A triple whammy. The only way to be sure is to kill your husband. If you're lying, and Sirion doesn't die with Mr. Harcourt... he should be next. One of them is scum. Vote: William Harcourt/ Hinckley
  7. Definitely the Death Star. I really, really, wish I could have that, but 400 is a little outt of my budget, especially with all of these other sets that I haven't gotten yet (not a single pirates set!). Playability, figures, pieces, sheer awesomeness... Lego really went all out on this one for the fans.
  8. Hmm, that was interesting. Morning. Breakfast today includes omelets and a slice of juicy ham, with freshly squeezed orange juice to drink. You're always so curious about breakfast, I like that.
  9. Yes! The game is coming along very nicely, Zepher. I'll be following this along, I just wish I could have gotten to the sign-up in time.
  10. Signed. I wonder why Pirates isn't "officially" considered an evergreen theme, I've always thought it was Pirates, Space, Twon, and Castle.
  11. I've thought about this many times, as well. I came to a simple answer- adults lose a lot of their imagination by growing up. Kids are kids, and they don't fully understand the world and it's aspects. So, they use their own minds, without the limits of knowing about the world. For example, an 8-year-old might create a battle between stormtroopers and Indians- they find it fun just because they're kids and for the reason above. Adults, however, don't waste their time with these sort of things because there's no way a stormtrooper could be in the same dimension as an Indian, and that it's just stupid. That's not say that adults aren't creative at all, though. Obviously, there are plenty of ingenious MOCs and other sorts of Lego creativity across the AFOL fan base. That's the way I see it. By the way I COLLECT Lego, and build with it. I will pick up my X-Wing and swoosh it around once in a while, though.
  12. Thanks, I was using an older computer when I saw these images, so they look fine now. I do use the contrast and brightness together, it's just that sometimes the pictures don't turn out. For some reason, when I adjust the brightness/contrast for one picture, those settings (say, 80 brightness and 30 contrast) are saved as "0" on photos that I work on next.
  13. I have a gut feeling that Ethel is innocent, but if it leads to answers... that's all we can hope for. Sorry, my dear, but unless something else comes up, I'm afraid you'll have to make a sacrifcie for the better of the castle. If you in fact, innocent, at least you will have died helping us. Oh, I almost forgot... Vote: Ethel/ Adam
  14. Thanks. The photos are light because I edited them that way. I agree that one or two of them (minfig shot) looks a little washed out, but I think the others look fine. I've been playing around with Paint.NET and trust me, these look waaay better than before I edited them. I actually like these pictures a lot. Thanks, I never knew about Hasbro doing something like this (I don't pay attention to "toys" besides Lego). Ahem. EDIT: I would like to ask everyone to please see the full size images by clicking on the black header on each photo. For some reason, the board automatically resized these to look "edgy" or pixilated.
  15. Congrats to all eight winners, especially DutchRebel. A great MOCer and lucky. It's so awesome when Santa gives out presents like that.
  16. Apologies, I was wrong. I don't know who to vote for. A strange accent isn't nearly enough to convict someone, but perhaps a plot to take over the world is... That is strange. I have not a a drop of noble blood in me, although it matters little. I don't think grouping us like this is going to help, because the evildoers could be anyone, maybe not dispersed into these groups. *cough* I like you. Want to see the kitchen? There might be a cookbook or two, although I usually take my recipes from memory. Good point. I don't want to accuse anyone, but these outsiders could be pretending to join in on the contract, and hit us where it hurts. Personally, I think we should vote someone off before supper is over. I agree that Ethel seems pretty strange, but what about these outsiders?
  17. Right. I was making an inference from past games... of life, in that clues sometimes appear at midday, when major daytime events usually occur.
  18. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Please don't swear. I did experiment with the "sticks" (whatever they're called), and I thought that this was the best angle to have them in. Here's the reference pic: You're exactly right. I wanted to make the set a little more interesting by adding the chamber. It was just a small afterthought to fill up the space, so I wasn't about to make my speeder worse to make this better. Besides, I don't have any more of those plates. Have you seen Attack of the Clones? In the fight between Anakin and Dooku, Anakin uses both his and Obi-Wan's borrowed lightsabers. Even though this part only lasts for a short while, I thought it would be cooler to have two. Much appreciated, thanks. I wouldn't get more than one, either. It's just a "dream" BP. Now that you mention it, it does sort of look like a Chopper, but I think that was the intent for the swoop bike to look like in the movie.
  19. Before I begin, I'd like to say that I know what you're all thinking: "What is this guy thinking, who would want a battle pack with a bunch of Anakins in it?". Well, I would, and I thought it would be something unique, however unrealistic it is. Hence my motivation for making this. This would include rare figs, chrome lightsabers, and a different speeder and meditation chamber, none of which you really see in battle packs. Go through the Skywalker time line! With this brand new battle pack, you can experience the Anakin Skywalker transformation like never before! From the innocent young Ani to the menacing Darth Vader, you can see how Anakin has changed throughout the Star Wars Saga! Speed around with Anakin's Swoop Bike, or place Vader in the Meditation Chamber! Includes Anakin's Swoop Bike, Vader's Meditation Chamber, and four different Anakins of different times! Includes Young Anakin Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker(Padawan), Anakin Skywalker (Knight), and Darth Vader. All lightsabers with shiny chrome hilts! Side view of the speeder. I spent a lot of time messing around trying to get those black poles on the bottom. Rear view. Meditation chamber. Yes, I used the design from the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, but I took off the white 2x2 plates on the inside of the black panels and added two trapezoid plates for the base. 70 pieces exactly. Well, that's my entry, thanks for looking. Comments or questions welcome. You can see more of this on my Flickr page. Did I have enough exclamation points in the S@H description?
  20. I'm loving this. I was really laughing out loud for a good two minutes at this. I always thought that Dumbledor's torso looked feminine. PC aside, this was pretty funny, too.
  21. Lunch? Sure, anything you like. Like I said, I think we should wait until after lunch to come to a conclusion. Answers may reveal themselves in time.
  22. Minifig scaled? Does that mean it's going to be smaller? Seriously, though, "minifig scale", in the LSW world, is about 20x smaller than what it "really" is. My hopes aren't too high for this one.
  23. I remember hearing a tale about eggos, too! It had coal powered dragons in it. Ridiculous, no? Well we already ate, but I can make a quick batch of eggos. Really big egos. It's nice to see someone around here still appreciates my cooking. I suggest we wait until after lunch to draw any conclusions. I have a feeling more will be revealed then.
  24. Fine, don't eat them. More Pop-Tarts for me and the King. Now, either take the toast (Stauder approved) or find something else to eat. I think the rocks around here make noises when you put them in your mouth.
  25. Relax, have some eggs and toast.
