  1. Hybros switches his attack to the Skeleton Mage and Arioch, attacking them from the front row. Glaring at Nerwen, he shouts "What do you think I am trying to do?! It is not my fault these monsters can not die so easily!"
  2. OOC: Shouldn't Mizuki have been healed by Nerwen's miracle?
  3. As he saw Chrisopher readying a bone to distract Mephisto (yes, you should do this, FredFred), Hybros switched his attack to Sycamore, swinging Zoot's Reaper at her from the front row.
  4. Excellent!! Bogus! Great interview, EBSWF Bloggers and Rufus! I kind of forgot that Rufus even was a fan of SW Lego, but now I do recall the famous shuttle MOC as well as those UCS reviews - sand green Yoda! And now I do need a tripod... 30s exposure would be absolutely impossible without one. I also use it and highly recommend it.
  5. He will! It's also hilarious to "see" gruff-and-tough Guts prance around like a ballerina .
  6. Hybros continues his assault on Mephisto.
  7. Pretty neat, I love how you did those upper windows. We don't have any of those types of restaurants where I live, but I think the color scheme fits perfectly.
  8. So it's been a while, and I think it's time that we established how negative effects worked for enemies (because they're not the same for heroes). Not to criticize you, Sandy, because I know you've been busy, but this can be a team effort, yeah? These are only my propositions, by the way. KO - Same thing Stunned - Enemy loses one turn (hastened enemy loses free hit) Petrified - Enemy is unable to act until remedied or defeated (same thing) Poisoned - Loses 1 HP every round* Badly Poisoned - Loses 10 HP every round* Cursed - ??? * Asleep - Enemy is unable to act until woken up by an attack or remedied or X-amount of rounds have passed Fast Asleep - Enemy is unable to act until remedied or X-amount of rounds have passed Blinded - Enemy is unable to cause DAMAGE while in effect. Sealed - Enemy is unable to cause SPECIAL DAMAGE while in effect Bound - Enemy is unable to flee or use specials that remove it from battle (temporary or permanent). Afraid - Enemy flees to back row Enraged - Enemy charges from front row (for enemies that are normally in the back row) Enamored - Enemy is unable to attack target while in effect. Confused - 50% chance the enemy will attack an ally, or if none left, itself while in effect Hexed - 100% chance the enemy will attack an ally, or if none left, itself while in effect Weakened - Enemy deals half damage while in effect Fragile - Enemy takes double damage while in effect Slowed - Enemy is only able to deal free hits on every other round (can still deal damage or special damage if targeted, though), (possibly change to not deal free hits at all) Jinxed - A hero attacking a jinxed enemy will roll the die twice and take the better of the rolls. Minimized - Enemy's power and max health are halved while in effect. Encouraged - An encouraged enemy deals double damage while in effect. Hastened - A hastened enemy will deal a free hit regardless or whether it is targeted or not at the end of the round. If it is not targeted, it will deal two free hits. Lucky - A hero targeting a lucky enemy will roll the die twice and take the worse of the two rolls. Inspired - Enemy's current and max health is doubled while in effect. Immune to [element] - Immune to certain element(s) (while enemy types may negate the use of this, it might be useful in some cases where, say, a fire enemy is immune to water, etc.) Immune to Magic - Enemy is immune to ether-based attacks Immune to Physical - Enemy is immune to non-ether-based attacks Immune to [effect] - Immune to certain effects Immune to Effects - Immune to all effects, negative or positive. * I left the amount of rounds for each of these negative effects ambiguous (the same goes for all of them, really), because there are different amounts of rounds that they take effect. Each item or skill should specify for how many rounds the effect takes place. I know a lot of these are self-explanatory, but some have never been used on enemies, and maybe some day they will. Also, I thought some might need clarifying.
  9. If Xarrzan doesn't show up, Sarick should hit the Skeleton Mage from the back row with his healing staff. That will work, won't it?
  10. Seeing his enemies fall, and as a result, some of his allies, Hybros grimaces and turns to the huge archdemon Mephistopheles, attacking it twice from the front row.

    Post your own art

Great comics, def. I love coming here to read them all the time, so keep it up.
  12. Awesome interior, very retro-looking (as it should be considering it's from the 50s... ). I love those baby blue booth seats, as well as that jukebox. The exterior is a little bland, but the awning and windows do help liven it up a little. Really nice work here.
  13. I can see that, but still... in a situation like the battle in Quest 44, it would definitely be a game breaker. We would take out all but three or four enemies without expending any health or ether.
  14. MOCing in progress... I need more bricks.

  15. No, immune to sudden death means immune to assassinations or other insta-kills. It doesn't protect from loss of health or, in this case, healing. If an enemy had five max health and someone took them out instantly with a regular hit, that does not count as OHKO. The same goes for healing, if a potion or healing staff were used on the same enemy (undead), then that would not count as OHKO. So due the Phoenix Essence/Incense healing nature, I wouldn't consider it a OHKO. Although I do think it's pretty close, but only in this instance. I agree with Sandy's decision to not allow revival to count as "sudden death", because that would mean any class could instakill or mass-instakill any undead monster.
  16. No, you never asked. But yes I will get them to you sometime soon.
  17. If you're talking about the phoenix incenses... would that work? Theoretically yes because the phoenix essence works that way... but we would also lose Shaun.
  18. Sandy, what is the dark type that the Ziegfried woman has? Is this a new type, if so could you explain its strengths and weaknesses?
  19. *flashback* "Eheh..." he muttered weakly, shifting his eyes to the ground. Zoot... he didn't think he would encounter the 'god' again for a very long time, but it seemed that his followers were everywhere. There was no escaping it. He glanced at the scythe he held in his hands. The feeling that someone or something was watching him when he first created the weapon suddenly returned. An urge swept over him. It took every ounce of strength and will to hold back from slicing the undead Ziegfried's head clean off. Or was Guts the Reaper's target? This was what he was trained for, after all. Not negotiating for safe passage to find a human child. He grimaced beneath his kerchief and followed the party inside the ruined city of Mercution. The ability to live forever was tempting. To be able to find his people without having to worry about time or death... yet in over fifty years on the surface he hadn't seen head nor tail of his kind. And then there was Zoot's Reaper, whispering to him inside his head. "Kill... kill... kill..." Kill who? It seemed to be urging him towards the undead army, but why? They were followers of Zoot himself. Why would the god want to slay his own people? Without any time to contemplate this, Hybros charged into battle. "Feel the true wrath of the Forsaken One!" He shouted, swinging Zoot's Reaper at Sybaris and the Spectre from the front row.
  20. Hybros tried to remember something he read somewhere about a dark temple, but couldn't recall. "I should have spent more time in the library..." he muttered. He was sure the ominous ruins held many challenges, and shifted uneasily as the party prepare to enter.
  21. Really nice roleplaying there, Zeph. I realized that I "hear" Boomingham's voice as Daniel Day Lewis' character in "There Will Be Blood". Very gruff-sounding, I guess.
  22. That is correct.
  23. I'm a big Green Bay Packers fan, and I also like the Niners. We're 3-3 this season, but of course it should be 4-2... anyways, our team is as good as ever, and I have no doubt we will do very well this season. I don't really follow college football, but if I were rooting for a team it would be the Wisconsin Badgers, whose quaterback last year is the QB for the Seahawks this year.
  24. Hybros bowed his head in thanks. "I am ready to check the air duct," he said, pulling his kerchief tighter across his face to protect from the smell.
  25. These seem pretty cool to me. I agree that the lions are kind of weird, but everything else I really like, especially the eagles (wings! ). I may even pick up one or two of those Speedorz sets, because there are some pretty nice pieces included.
