The heroes follow it for a while, until daylight can be seen through an opening in the distance. The heroes become temporarily blinded by the sunlight after being in the pitch black cave, but slowly regain their vision to see a breathtaking clifftop view of seemingly much smaller mountains below. A strong wind whips their faces, and to their surprise a feminine figure is standing on the cliff's edge looking out into the distance. As the party approaches, the figure turns around and replaces the hat she was holding on her head. "Ah, 'eroes." How will the party respond?

Duh. It's a Black Knight. We've discussed the Black Knights effectiveness recently in here, with me being one of the ones calling for a buff. But I have seen now how the Black Knight can be used effectively in battle, and I'm even considering trying it out for a quest or two. Health can be used as a power boost, and if you know what you're doing, you can have consistent and massive power boosts, since multipliers take effect after sacrificed health is added to power. So a level 15 Black Knight with a WP:10 weapon can sacrifice, say, 25 health for a hit. (10+15+25) x2 (encouraged) x2 (elemental advantage) = 200 dmg, for starters. Take a grand potion and repeat. It all works if you have a strategy. On another note, everyone check this out. It's a nice small guide for classes and may provide inspiration for new classes.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Right now Hybros is not very powerful against enemies immune to OHKO, and I've been staying in the back row. Unfortunately effects from weapons do not come into play during Gold Reaper, at least according to Quest 50. I always thought they did, which is why Mizuki was able to stun all enemies until recently in Quest 59.

It does, thank you! However, I would consider Assassins more offensive (and can also play healer and support), because they can OHKO and upgrade weapons with gold like Raiders. Druids are more healers than support, no? And Wardens, a combination of the supportive Knight and offensive Ranger. But are Knights offensive as you say? To me, soaking up hits seems more like a support class, and Knights (the BC) have only a 1/3 chance of hitting something.

Phew. That was a long battle for Quest 59. I wish there were some more offensive classed-heroes on my quest, but you get what you're given. Just makes things a bit difficult to balance is all. I'll try to make the next battle a little more manageable (but not necessarily easier ). Also, I really love Pretzel's character. "Very generous donation, your path to heaven has been secured" And very generous of Mizuki to give out her winnings. It's a great example of a way that Assassins can play a supporting role in addition to an offensive one (or even healing if they spent their gold on potions and essences). On another note, can any expert gamer point me somewhere or tell me about types of classes? I think the main categories are Offensive, Healing, and Support. Do I have that right? Time to run to the hills then.

Quests are meant for heroes to have a job to do. if you or your character don't agree with it, don't sign up. As for freedom of character desicions, there still is a script to follow, and I would hate to have my quest turned upside down because a character refuses to complete the tasks asked of them or for some other character reason. I don't see how the limited freedom is any different than a video game RPG. You're given a set of choices, but you must choose from them. You can't just choose an option that isnt there, or refuse to choose. Don't bother signing up if that is the case.
