  1. You should be able to build the little house with pieces you own allready, they are pretty basic. Dr. Brick
  2. Thanks for the pics! Nooo, this set is horrible! Why does it have to ruin the excellent line of city sets this year? - The pickup is ugly! - The building isn't a building! - The price is unbelievable! The only good things are the two trucks and hte green recycle box (which we might see in the advent calender anyways). Well thanks again for the pics, I hope you will find this a good set. I suppose it's always better when you've actually got the brick in front of you. Dr. Brick
  3. I own one. Sorry for the bosting, but I am proud of it... People are dissapointed because LEGO promised a replacement for 4999 that would be widely available. And as you say, this is NOT 4999, not even close. But yeah, you're right. We should be happy with what we get. And really, it isn't that hard to get the pieces you need for 4999 if you prefer to have one like that. That's what I did. I will still get this set, beacause I just can't get enough of windmills. I think my construction collection will finaly have something to build... By the way, this set is much easier to put in the city, due to it's not so large size. I have to build a table-extension to place 4999... Well you decide: pay a lot of money (+/- 150 euros for the pieces) if you have a lot of space, you really love windmills and you want a detailed working model. But go for this one if you would just like a windmill to decorate your (small) town and make it more realistic. Dr. Brick
  4. Hi Everybody! It's been ages since I presented a creation, but finally here is my newest LDD MOC: Swedish Designer House. Sorry all the images are links but couldn't insert them in my post for some reason I haven't found yet. Maybe one of the moderators could help me with this? Thanks! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_1.bmp It's based on a picture I found in my german course book. A house built completely out of glass and wood. Eventhough imine is clopetely built with digital plastic I'm still proud of it! Here we can see the huge window made with the new 1x2x3 windows. I love the new window system, so simple but really good looking! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_2.bmp The back of the house is not really interesting, wasn't really supposed to be. I am planning to build this thing in real and the back would face my bedroom wall, so I won't waste a lot of money on it. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_3.bmp The front is a bit more interesting. i really tried to use as much glass as possible, but still keep the neatral tan feel. I don't feel the windows are excessive. There are a two pieces here I would rather have done in a different colour, but LDD still doesn't give acces to. The grey floor in the middle needs to be tan, and the dark grey LURP needqs to be green. (this house needs to stand beside my vestas windmill ) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_4.bmp Here we can see the other side of the building, not very special. This side also wouldn't be visible. More on the contents of the room later. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_5.bmp Here is a shot of the roof, which was a bit of a challenge. I think it is stable but it's always a bit hard to tell with digital models how the forces of gravity would affect it in real life... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_6.bmp This house is completely modular, the roof can come of to show the inside: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_7.bmp And also the second story can come of to reveal the kitchen and the toilet. The loo is a failure, I didn't really have the right pieces. I wanted to build one as in 7905 building crane. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/AlMcBric...ner_house_8.bmp So why call it Swedish Designer House. Well when I finished it I was listening to the song Swedish Designer Drugs (which I ironically hate) and I thought the house looked like it could be set in Sweden beside an Ikea and it sortoff designerish. (I don't like the song, but I LOVE Sweden and Ikea!) That's all I have to say, I should be showing you another LDD modular building soon. Comments welcome! Oh and here is the Brickshelf gallery. (when moderated) Dr. Brick
  5. Thanks for the pics! I also just finished my Vestas Windmill. I'm glad I did, because this thing is a bit to small... I'll get it for the truck and the van, and I may use some of the turbine pieces for the construction site beside my vestas windmill. Dr. Brick
  6. I have also recieved my JSF. Thanks! Dr. Brick
  7. I just finished my turbine! I will post pictures when I have them! Dr. Brick
  8. I voted for option 2, 6399 was the best set ever! Dr. Brick

After seeing this I do not regret buying the parts for the vestas windmill (which should be ready by the end of this week! ). If this is the set (I'm pretty sure it is...) it is very dissapointing compared to the vestas one. Dr. Brick
  10. That I do not know. But it will definitly last longer than 10 reloads! (by which time you would allready have spent at least 70 euros on normal batteries) Dr. Brick
  11. I agree. It might seem expensive when you buy it, but you'll never have to buy any batterys again. In the end it will be cheaper, and better for the enviroment. I will buy several of these. Good move Lego! Dr. Brick
  12. Haha, nice review Sinner. I've got a yellow one. I really like it. Sinner (or anyone else acually) I was wondering if you had one of these: http://shop.lego.com/product/?p=852530&amp...7&ShipTo=BE If so, would mind doing a review? It thinks it's pretty cool! Have fun with your new kitchen tools! Dr. Brick
  13. I was exploring several LEGO sites and I read a lot of 'I heard at Eurobricks that...'. I got interested and well, now I'm here! Dr. Brick
  14. Great! I'm looking forward to it. I'l post again when i've recieved mine. Thanks allready! Dr. Brick
  15. Okay, I hope you're right! Another question: The IR reciever, can it be hidden behind bricks, or does it have to have a direct contact with the remote control? If it can be hidden, that would give more options... Dr. Brick
  16. Do you think it is possible to connect the battery box to the RC motors, using the extension wire with 9V connection? This would make it possible to convert old trains to the new system. I don't think you could fit one of those large motors in a Metroliner... Dr. Brick

The Farm sets ar starting to appear in Belgium. I got the tractor and the combine harvester in Colruyt on monday. Dr. Brick
  18. It looks better than a real set! This is really good, stupid that TLG asks that high prices for its factory sets... Keep up the good work! Dr. Brick
  19. I agree, I really need blue ones... Dr. Brick

Don't forget that there will probaly also be a new modular building... Dr. Brick
  21. I don't feel it's that expensive. A set of 1000+ pieces is normally +/- €100, and this set will probally include a motor and wires... I was expecting €100-€110. Dr. Brick
  22. Wow, that is lovely. It having only one coach is another reason it probaly isn't faken, it's just the thing TLC would do. I need a job... Dr. Brick
  23. Do you mind if I give a nudge aswell... Take your time though, I really don't mind. Dr. Brick
  24. I'm building it... And I have quite a lot of the rare pieces... Dr. Brick

Though I would really love to see a new monorail or a re-release of 6399 (best set ever! ) I don't think it has anything to do with the Temple of Doom tracks for two reasons: 1. The hills are to steep for a proper train car to go up. 2. The hills don't have any grip. The hill tracks on the monorail have good grip on the cars using cogs. ~> these tracks haven't been made to go up, only to come down... Dr. Brick
