Hello everyone. Here is my third and final entry for the Revenge of the Sith Community Build: Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. My previous entries can be found here and here. About a month ago, Jason C. Hand posted this: his own updated version of seniorgronk's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Interceptor, commonly known as the 'Jedi Starfighter'. Seeing that inspired me to have a go myself, and here is the result... I started with the stock JSF model that was seen piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones, and then modded it to make the version seen being used by Plo Koon in Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately, and very sadly, the Jedi Master was shot down while flying this ship by his comrade Captain Jag, when Chancellor Palpatine commanded the execution of Order 66. I have, of course, made a few mods and recolours to the ship which I will post shortly, so stay tuned! LXF File (warning - due to some possible dodgy techniques according to LDD, the file is subject to slow performance and crashes) Please do not re-use the file or images without my permission. Thank you for looking. All comments are welcome.

[KEY TOPIC] Official LEGO Sets made in LDD

I'm not certain. The 'fins' of Sebulba's pod would not connect like they were supposed to after I built them, and so I moved them perhaps further apart or furher forward than they should be, so that they could connect to the rest of the model.- 5,046 replies

Thanks. Yeah, I saw it. Nice job. Mine should be closer to scale and more functionally similar, I think. -
Missed me?

Nice job, Sparky. If anyone didn't see my Commander Gree Mosaic or wants to see the original design, look no further... I made the helmet twice as big, smoothed and thinned all the lines down, added the patterns, colour, detail, and voila! It was a pain to do, so I don't think I'll try it again. Stay tuned for some more, long overdue work coming soon!

[KEY TOPIC] Official LEGO Sets made in LDD

Thanks a lot, Superkalle! I've updated the image and LXF file in my post above without those errors. Thank you. Hmm, they're hard to describe. On the 'cockpit corner' on the ship, there are three hinged blocks that make up the round edge on that side. I think the middle block collides with the parts already in place on the model, and so it cannot be closed tight enough to reach the hinges at the front of the ship. Because of this, the right 'nose' section, cannot be fully attached, and so some of the parts have had to be taken off it and kept separate underneath.- 5,046 replies

Great job on those tracks and sails, bbqqq. I didn't see that you'd added them to my models. I'll be sure to include them when I update those sets. Thought I'd upload a few more custom creatures that I built when updating my Star Wars sets... Here are both versions of Jabba the Hutt... I don't think the designers thought that deeply into minifig placing. It seems more based on relatedness, eg. Dori, Nori and Ori together; Fili and Kili; Oin and Gloin, etc. How they decided on Oin and Gloin in the barrel set, rather than Fili and Kili, say, is probably more random, but could be based on their importance, though I don't know how well they'd know of things like that when the film isn't released yet. Like you said though, the figure placing works well.
-
That was the aim, so glad you like it. I like that idea; you're right.
-
Cheers. You mean the curved pattern, not the fin, I assume? I don't think so. There's one pic of it being grey, but all the rest seem to show it being green.
-
Thanks a lot, guys. I agree, but I'm pretty sure that the 1x1 tile wouldn't be available in all the colours I've used, so I don't see that that's going to happen without some new releases from TLG, unfortunately. Thank you very much!

Community Build: SW Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
ADHO15 replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I re-posted my second entry, Commander Gree, here. -
Hello everyone. Once again, I present to you my second entry for the Eurobricks Revenge Of The Sith Community Build, my first being the Jedi Temple. My entry is a mosaic of my favourite clone commander, Commander Gree; one of the not-so-many clone troopers to fail at executing Order 66, allowing Jedi Master Yoda to escape and flee Kashyyyk. A version without the part outlines and background... You may remember some other similar mosaics that I posted here a while ago of Phase I clone commanders. This new mosaic is twice the size and comprises of 5847 1x1 tiles... I just this would be another simple entry to the community build that's quite different to the other entries posted so far. LXF File Please do not use the file or images without my permission. Thank you for looking. All comments are welcome.

I don't think it took too long to make, and I can just have a go at re-writing it again if it's a hassle to retrieve it, but I lost my Commander Gree entry topic for the Revenge of the Sith Community Build. I made a long post in the Clone Wars Series 5 thread that took a long time to write, but it's not important enough to bother with again.

[KEY TOPIC] Official LEGO Sets made in LDD
ADHO15 replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thank you. - Well the cockpit part is not actually attached to anything; it just sits loosely on top of other parts and is held in place by the hinged sections that go over it. I managed to raise it up a little (and surprisingly it didn't actually collide with any other parts! ), so it's not technically in the correct place as it doesn't sit in the right place. - Yes, I've tried it again, and it worked, so sorry about that! I assumed it was a problem with the technic axle not being able to push into the anti-stud of the 2x6 plate. - Yes, impossible builds like that have been bugging me a lot. You'll have your work cut out testing all the errors when I post my SW update in a few days!- 5,046 replies

Ad-Hoh returns to the hall after his latest quest, accompanied by his fellow adventurers, and the body of the late Arasmyth. They settle him in a secluded side-chamber so that the other heroes have a chance to pay their respects before he moves on to the next life. As per their agreement before Arasmyth's unfortunate end, Ad-Hoh takes the fallen mage's Sapphire and Aquamarine to make use of himself, before leaving a tribute of 200 Gold to honour his comrade. On his way out of the hall, Ad-Hoh also spots Arthur Justus Regulus VII, who agrees to pay him 350 gold in exchange for the Scroll Of Poisoning and Lens Of Speed-Reading. They happily complete the transaction before Arthur enters the chamber to say goodbye to Arasmyth...

As a kind of follow-up to my earlier statement: ... is there a way to group recolour multiple parts at the same time to a colour that isn't in the colour palette? -
The Penguin's Batman Minifigures. )
ADHO15 replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Wow, I'm very impressed! Fantastic paint work on the Bronze Tiger! There are quite a few I've never heard of, but I really like those from the game. Your versions are a lot better, of course. Inertia's stripes perhaps aren't as jagged as they should be. At the moment he looks like he's wearing a robe. And personally, I prefer Owlman's white eyes. The grey eyes blend in a bit and he doesn't look as intimidating, but he's still very nicely made. Excellent job! -

ADHO15 replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I see that has cut the bottom off the palette now, so colours like old Dark Grey can't be selected anymore. That's not in the least bit annoying! I suppose it was my own fault for trying to colour a group of parts in Olive Green yesterday when it wasn't in the palette! (I still hate that feature too btw!) But LDD really needs to sort out saving some space on those palettes or adding a scroll bar. -

OOC: Ooh exciting! Thanks for hosting, Jeb. It's been a great quest and you presented it really well. Do you want your Sapphire back, JMB, or do you want to give/sell it to me?
