The Penguin's Dwarven Archaeology. )
ADHO15 replied to The Penguin's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
These are great! The detail on the sets is wonderful as well as the humour and action. Great work! I look forward to part 3. -
Hilarious! Some great positions there. You can really imagine it. Another wonderful creation from the Penguin! Keep up the great work!

You mean where they put the bomb chute in the last one? I doubt the ship'd need two astromech droids. That wouldn't be canon. We might see a similar sort of play function in this newer version. The new astromech is bound to have a similar design to the new R2, anyway. The one with an all grey head, only this may be all green. But when we've already heard of these sets as rumours, and then we see they have new designs in the video, why shouldn't they be new sets?
-
I agree. It just looks like it's been smudged a little during printing.
-
We already have a green astromech droid from the Republic Cruiser set. You're making it seem like it's a new fig. I do agree that we'll get a green one in this set, though, as we can see it's green several times in the video. I wasn't disagreeing. I agree that we're much more likely to get Plo Koon's fighter than Anakin's. I was just providing visual aid for your description. All very true. It's definitely a new design and you can certainly see many changes all over it: printed cockpit, different engine assembly, two rear guns, different build of the wings, alternate front design, etc. The engines are supposed to be huge in comparison to the size of the fighter. I can only see the one. Where do you see a second?
-
This is Plo Koon's Delta-7: This is the Azure Angel: They look a little bit similar, but hopefully this will help rockinkurt identify which one we'll get. If only there were more LEGO stores in the UK.
-
Very much so. Thanks a lot, yellost! That ARC-170 is definitely different. You can tell by looking all over it. I didn't think those landspeeders looked like LEGO. You can easily see they're not now.
-
He doesn't look like LEGO at all, though, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I wasn't meaning the ball joints, just the printing. I think they might be a little intricate and unique to attempt. I'd love to be proved wrong here, though. At points in the cartoon, Grievous looked as though his torso was the same, with a bar on each side to clip his arms onto. It may have just been the animation that made it look like they were ball joints. I mean, ordinary figs don't have bendy arms and legs, do they? Soulless One was featured in the cartoon. You can see it shortly after he finds R2-D2 on Tatooine. That could have been the new one as well. I agree, the views just aren't good enough to tell.

We may have had a topic for mis-moulds at one point, but I can't find it. All my clones have the circle on the back of their helmets, even the ones from my AT-AP. I don't have a clue why yours are different. I see no diagonal lines above any of the eyes on any of my figs from the Echo Base set. Do you mean a printed line? A groove? It would be easier for us to find if we had pics of what you were talking about. The snowtroopers have eye holes. He could be referring to them.

Considering we've been discussing it and it's possibilites of new sets all day, I think it's safe to say some of us have seen it as well. Please have a look round before creating another useless topic.

The whole thing was like one big, funny advert. It featured as many LEGO vehicles and figs as it could in 5 mins including OT sets and a peek at the new Tantive IV set. We get rumours of a new ARC-170 fighter and then one keeps showing up in this video. If it is the old one, they didn't have to put it in. It's years old. Some kind of Malevolence set is possible as well. Surely they wouldn't go to the trouble of designing the model for the cartoon if they weren't going to make a real one. It was a key ship in the CW series. I agree some things are looked into a bit far, but we can dream, can't we? Then why would they bother to add those black bits to his arms, legs and torso? In all the past cartoons like this, they've just had the ordinary white Grievous. We are rumoured to be getting his starfighter, so it's perfectly plausible that we'll get this new Grievous too.
-
Probably not, but there's a chance we could get some redesigned Phase 2 pilots to look more like this:

Please stop spamming, Lego Builder. There is no point in bringing back such old topics to post such a meaningless and useless comment. If you do have to bring up topics that have been dead for a year, at least show the maker respect enough to post a unique response. Say what exactly you like about the MOC and how you think it could be improved. Don't just copy a stupid one-sentence review and post it in twenty different topics. That's not going to be good for you or for anyone else.

2010 looks like a great line-up so far. The only set that doesn't sound appealing to me is the TIE Defender as I'm not an EU fan. I wonder if LEGO does plan to bring back ROTS sets, or whether they'll be featured in the Clone Wars series soon. Let speculation in this new thread commence!

The Penguin's Batman Comic Story - 2 )
ADHO15 replied to The Penguin's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Welcome back, Penguin. Nice start to the story. I hope to see some more soon. -
Hi, everyone. I'm back. The game will now resume as normal.
-
Hello everyone! I'm going away until Tuesday and so will not be able to keep the game going as normal. I've run out of ideas for competitions, so the current question will just have to stay up until I get back. Because I'm unable to tell you if you're right or wrong, you can tell me all the answers you can think of, and then I'll tell you how you've done when I return. Good luck!
-
You mean clone marines.

Thanks for all the pics, grogall. We've seen the LEGO postcard things before, but those pages in the book are new to me. I'd prefer the newer versions of the AT-TE and LAAT/i, but it's not a big problem. The book is a definite buy for me, and the exclusive Luke fig is the icing on the cake. He look really accurate and well-designed. The neck area definitely looks light flesh to me. I'm still not a fan of long-haired Luke, though.
-
Thanks, fenris. I agree that the new style is better. The TIE Fighters in the films were never blue, so the grey is much more accurate. However, if TLG do remake all the old versions, I'll probably stick to my existing collection.
-
Thanks, pedro. I agree that it was nice to see a less well-known TIE fighter get the spotlight for a change.
-
The landspeeder from the 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina set weighs about 101g.
-
Thanks, Roncanator. It's good to see a negative take on the set too. Thank you, Torax.
-
Thanks, Fumoffu. Thank you very much, Ratshot. I would love to, Legolas, but I don't have the new one, unfortunately. Even though I don't have it, I think it looks much better than this version and, given the choice, would buy that instead. Seeing as I have this one already, however, and it matches the rest of my TIE fighters, I'm not going to get the new one. Good luck with that. I hope to see pics here when it's finished.
