Hope to see a partslist soon! -
I have both the 8043 and 8258 but would definitely pick the 8258. More pieces, more interesting to build (the underside of 8043 is rather repetitive) and loads of gears. 8258 is one of my favorite sets ever and it is quite massive! Let us know what you have decided and what your experience was like!

We now know this thing has 4WD, but what are the chances of a gearbox of some sort? There is a gearbox that switches between the winch and the compressor for the pneumatic functions. That won't be too complex, just a driving ring constructions... But you think it has a second gearbox? How else will it have more than 2,000 parts? Even if you take off the pins and axles that is still a lot... Do you think you have to turn the crane by hand just like the stabilizers? That would be kinda lame...

To clear this up: Some regions make mention of the parts count because of legal obligations. This is the case for the Americas. European often don't have the piece count. I love the joke with the hook that tears the orange band... -
If I counted correctly this set has 380 different pieces which is a record for the Modular Building series... just uploaded the minifigs on Bricklink. Waiting for approval. Doing an inventory soon...

Very funny thing I noticed. The Modulars seems to be altering in price somewhat, number of booklets (so complexity?) and details... 1. 10182 Café Corner - EUR 149.99 - 2 booklets 2. 10185 Green Grocer - EUR 159.99 - 3 booklets 3. 10197 Fire Brigade - EUR 149.99 - 2 booklets 4. 10211 Grand Emporium - EUR 149.99 - 3 booklets 5. 10218 Pet Shop/Town House - EUR 149.99 - 2 booklets so the possible Town Hall may become huge!

Yes well him. Now the set is out in the open I hope he replies here soon
