  1. Dust is sometimes like water - even the most minute crack allows for access. Glass doors won't necessarily help unless they are perfectly sealed against the shelf component and even then, I bet dust would find a way through... I once bought some old Pirate sets from who displayed them after building - I was scrubbing the dust off with hot soapy water and a toothbrush for day. I think you just gotta dust them - maybe as much as 1x per week. In the summer, mine don't get too bad as the AC units are running and filtering most of the dust.
  2. I don't understand... Are you looking for them? Do you have them?
  3. Wow. That just came out (at Target anyway...) in Nov.
  4. I used to hang sets to the ceiling - with flat tacks.
  5. 500th Post on 1yr Anniv! Did anyone else see the yellowish flags on top of chariot? Almost looks like there is an insignia or mark on them...
  6. Whoa! Brilliant thinking! He'd come out a little shorter than Bats, but it would definitely be close enough.
  7. Ki Adi-Mundi would be my 1st choice! Just seems like a cool dude and I'd love to meet him in real life...
  8. As far as I can remember, its the first defect of any kind I've ever gotten out of a set. On the plus side, she came with 2 tiaras...
  9. I snagged one of the small Power Miner sets. I wanted to check out the golems...they definitely don't disappoint in coolness!
  10. Two-Face...in the Indy sets?! Not really... Poor Willie. Now her acting career will never take off... "Scared side" face is okay, but now she has a "scarred side" as well.
  11. I may try to see if they'll hold any Lego for me. Give them my number and hope for the best is all I can do, I suppose...
  12. Ugh. This is horrible (I've chopped out the pics for my quoted reply...) - can't we get the pics removed in the original as well?
  13. Well - I thought I had been paying attention. I did hear/ read that the Calamari Cruiser won the contest, but I was sure I had also seen/ read that Palpatines Arrest was going to be made...I guess maybe it was just a rumor. Thanks for helping!
  14. Hope everyone has a safe and healthy upcoming new year!! No special resolutions for me this year.
  15. Very nicely done! Love the pure whiteness of it.
  16. Anyone else planning on snagging multiples of each kind (Meltrox, Sulfurox, Glaciator, etc)?
  17. These are the sets I saw...I just couldn't remember the exact price adjustments. Heading out tomorrow (Fri) to hopefully find some '09 price deals!!
  18. Welcome aboard Commander!! What say you as far as the "creepy faced" Clone Wars MF's?!
  19. Welcome to the boards! CITY has definitely gotten some really nice sets the past couple of years. The future looks bright as well.
  20. Nice comparison thread. I actually prefer the BF cow. Its closer to the Lego horse in size and proportion. Real horses and cows are large animals and the minifig standing next to them is appropriate IMO.
  21. Ditto. I don't own any and as far as I can remember, I never have. If folks like them, so be it.
  22. Back a few pages... They were blurry.
  23. I'd say that's a good guess. Both the Castle and Pirate lines already have the ability of modular building within the larger sets.
  24. Sounds great!! I wonder if there will be a sneak peek of any new sets...(Palpatines Arrest?) I'll have to check to see if the Orlando Store (in the U.S.) is doing anything special during the summer months.
