  1. I would love to see a couple new CW sets released but find it highly unlikely. Disney killed Hasbro's CW line and killed the CW cartoon. Despite this, LEGO was allowed to release what I believe to be the final LEGO SW CW sets in the current winter wave. I'm hopeful for maybe 1 CW set this summer if we're fortunate but expect to get none, which will signify the end of CW in LEGO.
  2. I just realised something, LEGO ended Kingdoms prematurely for LEGO LotR. There were 16 Kingdoms sets, 12 if you don't count the the polybags or battlepacks. There are currently 15 LEGO LotR sets, 12 if you don't count the polybags. Now I'm really upset that LEGO discontinued Kingdoms for a line that lasted just as long as it did.
  3. Quick question. In the past, how has LEGO announced that a specific line has ended or been discontinued? I have a few LotR sets and I've taken it easy thinking the line would be around for awhile.
  4. It's been years but watched Reign of Fire. My son really enjoyed it, he took out his LEGO dragon and swooshed it around.
  5. Thanks for the review. I really like the updated Ahsoka minifig but something seems off with the Shock Troopers. The color scheme doesn't look quite right. I think this would have been the perfect opportunity to release a new Commander Fox. With TCW ending, I find it doubtful that we'll ever see a new Fox in minifig form.
  6. Thanks for sharing this news. This will give me some time to catch up with a lot of the sets I've missed from 2013.
  7. First of all, all of the photos we've seen are just "preliminary". At this point I choose to wait until there are official photos of the sets or see how they're looking at NY Toy Fair before I critique or pass judgement on the sets. The only thing I'm excited about is knowing what the sets will be.
  8. The LEGO SW sets will find their way to America eventually. Americans tend to be impatient when it comes to getting their products and feel slighted when they're not the first to receive something. All in good time. I know for a fact I will be buying the new Battle Packs when they make their way to Amazon.com.
  9. I'm looking forward to May the 4th again and getting a new minifig. I can really do without another protocol droid though. We'll have to see though. I know it may be too early but a minifig of a Rebels character would be cool. Until NY Toy Fair, the preliminary pictures that have been leaked mean nothing to me. I like most of the sets that are coming out and can't wait to see real pictures of the sets.
  10. The only articulation that's missing with the battle droid minifig is the legs. I don't care too much since the battle droids in the movie use little leg movement.
  11. Thanks for posting that commercial. I don't know what it is but I like seeing what LEGO comes up with to promote sets. Although a fake, I would like to see a non-CW AT-OT and Drop-Ship. I have the CW version that was never featured in TCW but would love to see this vehicle/ship released again. On a separate note, I'm very pleased to have this glimpse into the Summer LEGO SW sets. I really can't wait until NY Toy Fair to hopefully see the sets and the actual minifigs we may be getting.
  12. Great job, I noticed the same things that have already been mentioned. I really like the details in your design.
  13. Good catch on that set possibly being the Ghost. The set number is blurry so I can't be certain on the last number. I was thinking the new ISD looked similar to 6211, which I already have. If we're getting a completely new Vader minifig, I may go the Bricklink route.
  14. Looking closer at the pictures, looks like a new AT-AT driver minifig and I can't tell but maybe the Darth Vader in the ISD set will be a new one.
  15. My initial thoughts on the new AT-AT is that it looks a little off. The legs seem really thick and long while the body looks like it should be bigger. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo. The Imperial Star Destroyer looks good.
  16. We're entering the 5th year of being into LEGO Star Wars in my family and we're starting to experience re-hashed sets. We already have previous renditions of the OT sets, except Mos Eisley Cantina. This will allow us to focus on the completely new sets. I'm really looking forward to the Rebels sets. Looks like they'll be released before the show airs so this'll give us a nice glimpse at some of the characters.
  17. First of all, if you add the screen-time of each that I mentioned, it can't be too much more than a handful of minutes per given character/type. I have better things to do than calculate the actual screen-time. When I mentioned the clone pilots, I was referring to appearance in the movie. I'm full aware of all of the clone pilots that are featured from CW. My kids and I are big fans, regardless of how the show ended. There's a distinction between the movie and CW sets. To name a few characters that required a new mold with little screen-time from the PT that have been immortalized by LEGO: AT-AT driver, Bossk, Greedo, Max Rebo. Personally I don't think any of us should be questioning LEGO's "rationale to create a new mold".
  18. Using this reasoning, LEGO shouldn't have made a mold for a bunch of minifigs. There are quite a few minifigs from the Star Wars universe of characters that didn't receive much screen time. Quick example, the different Jedi from the PT, Clone Pilots, Death Star Troopers, etc... Personally, I will do a substantial amount of army building with the upcoming BPs.
  19. I have to agree with you. I'm used to boards where collectors help other collectors out with items available at retailers. These same boards have rules against selling items over MSRP when they're available at retailers. Now if it's a retired or out of production set, I understand. Unfortunately EB doesn't have these rules. With that being said, the listing has ended and this topic should be locked.
  20. Getting a little chippy in here. I would personally like to see LEGO continue with LotR. There's a lot of holes in the line and potential for some outstanding sets. As mentioned, I feel this line is following a course similar to LEGO Indiana Jones. If there were no 3rd wave, I would be disappointed, but it wouldn't stop me from buying more of the sets from retail stores.
  21. Have to agree with you. I wait for NY Toy Fair every year to get official news and see the upcoming sets.
  22. Doing a quick check of the 2014 thus far, we get 17 clone troopers and 16 droids.
  23. If you asked for a specific set and you received the wrong set by accident then you shouldn't feel guilty. We all know LEGO is pretty pricey so you should have sets you want.
  24. I would definitely welcome some updated dewbacks into my family collection.
