I understand. Just been thinking, would it be reasonable to add the Pneumatic suspension so then the logs are loaded it raises to hold more weight? Or is this truck so small to hold it, and will fit in the XL Flatbed. Just a though. -

So, are you sticking with what you've made? -

Right, the crane is awesome, and works well with the body of the trucks, but it's too big. If you can make the tower smaller it would work well. If you can't do anything about the crane, it would be a shame to have a decent model and let the crane spoil it. So if the crane is the best you can do, how about making the truck larger. I know this is a lot to ask this late in the process, but it truly would make it perfect. At the moment, everything is out of proportion with each other and it doesn't do your hard work and effort justice. I know you might be annoyed for this, but I just want to give my opinion so you can see the full best out of your time producing the truck. Robert. -

Do I see 3 motors in the tower? And 4 used all together? I prosume the horizontal motor controls the outriggers? Will this truck be remote controlled with all these motors? Robert. -

I think working steering wheels are a must have if it is able to be done. It adds to much realism to the Model. Maybe though, would it be possible to make it so the steering wheels rotates 3 times for the rotation of the wheels. That would make it even more life like. -

Much better. Consider what I said done. Is the front of the Truck finished then? -

Very neat, just one criticism, when he hood is open, it looks like the engine is too low down. Don't forget that real engines have a lot more under the pistons, and it would be neon impossible to get an engine in like that with it being so low down. On the whole, the cab looks well. Ahh, multicoloured Lego, I thought that was a thing of the past, old lego maybe? Robert. -
Everyone that has said I've done something wrong, read my first post. Then read the topic about bumping. I noted that it was an old design, I didn't quote anyone, I didn't ask questions, I didn't do anything that was advised not to do. I'm innocent as I ever can be. Nothing wrong with what I've done, but from what this has caused, I've noted it, and there will be no more bumping from me in the future. Over and out to this topic. Robert.

I get confused with it, so I suppose i'll never built my attachments, unless I sit there for a good few hours and figure out what to do.
-
Oh, that is fine, I think I missed your post about that, unless I just forgot. It's a smashing trailer though. I just need to order parts and get building some of these wonderful attachments.
-
Did you miss this post out? I really think it would make it a lot better if this was done.
-
I downloaded LDD today, and have already built a range of things. If I can find out how to post the file onto here, I'll show you the tow hitch that I made, it's more of a Drawbar typ, but thats what farms use, so maybe the right kind.
-
How many green panels does that Trailer use? And building instructions would be nice, it's a good looking trailer.
-
I now can't help but think that the front bucket attachment would look a lot better if it was Black or Orange. It really does go well though, have you messed around with the Pneumatics yet?
-
Thats it, that's the colour I was thinking of, or was it John Deere? Yeah, a green Unimog would look good. Anybody got the panels for it? I'm asking a lot for people today, I'll stop, honest.
-
They could possibly look better. But the green makes it evident that it is for Agricultural use. Grey or orange would suggest to me that it's for highways maintainence, or the equivalent. However, with the front digger on the front, it looks like the Unimog is a replacement tractor with a much wider range of use and possibilities.

It uses a dolly, and a normal trailer found on artics.
-
Would it not be possible, to use the Unimogs Pneumatic power to lift the trailer bed? From the pump, have it going to the switch that's standard, then between the nozzle and the switch, add another switch to take the air either to the the first nozzle, which the crane then uses and divides to 3, and the other option to the trailer to lift it up. It might mean a bit of work, and could take a bit of time. But I think that would superbly improve it and make it a lot easier to use, and more enjoyable. The trailer looks good there.

If you'r talking about the shape of the circle, I'd say you've pretty much cracked it. The mudguards on trucks when you type in Logging trucks show that they are not full round, they more like egg shaped, and only have a portion of the full oval. If your talking about the back, as in back of the truck, then I don't think it has been built yet so can't be compared. On the whole, I'm not sure I know what you mean, so don't count this as anything.
