  1. @bricksmarlin that is a nice looking Endor/KuatDriveYards/Kitchen :D
  2. Thank you :) I don't have a complete type count on this one because I made most of it in hand. I only used ldd to design test panels to figure out which parts looked convincing for detailing. My guesstimate is around 400, but it could be higher :)
  3. @bricksmarlinLooking awesome :) You might need another table for the next thing I am building :D One of your B-wings have crashed by the way :D
  4. Thank you :) Yes, you missed it, I wrote 7000 - you better read it all again ;) The minifig arms are LBG - they cost an arm and a leg (see what I did there?), but one seller had them in bulk :)
  5. @Khaled Yousef hehe :) But in all honesty, the inside of your bays looks very much like what I have in mind, and I can see you have used many of the same bricks as I have bought for the area. I don't know when I will get around to it though. I hope it will be this year, but I am not sure :)
  6. Thinking of making a small instructions booklet with them :)
  7. I appreciate what you did here (I make computer games and work with 3d), but I am not sure it is conclusive :) The discrepancy is so small that I would venture it falls within the margin of error that the camera and side ring is not 100.0% facing each other :) The cylinder on top is slightly smaller than the side rings which alsomuddies things a bit. In any case there is no evidence here that the back of the center ring should be further forward than the back of the top cylinder :) In the end the studio models dictate what I build - and there are many differences between them and the new digital models :) :)
  8. Thank you :) To be honest, your model captures the bottom of the ship and the bays pretty perfectly. There is not much anyone can do that you haven't already done here :)
  9. Hehe, I don't think the difference is not to warrant a studs difference. And I don't think the difference was intentional on Rebels - they just got lazy :) :D
  10. Looking at the studio model the are pretty well lined up. http://www.modelermagic.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/IMG_1625.jpg
  11. Great way to celebrate May the Fourth AC! Nice touch with the sky background :)
  12. Probably more than 100. I have used more than 250 minifig arms btw ;)
  13. 380 seems reasonable considering the size - also a fine brick count for a midi-scale build :) The Midi Falcon and ISD are 350-400 +mine is around 900.
  14. That is a sweet looking transport-tanker bottom! :) What is the brick count? :)
  15. @Azrielsc Looking forward to seeing your progress :) Feel free to post a pic of what you have now here :)
  16. Hehe, great to hear! My kid wants to be in the lego room all the time - pulling the wings off my X-wing. I hope he gets more friendly with time :) I understand your dilemma, I did not use too many rare part here so you should be able to find most of it in old grey. The minifig hands could be a bit hard to find if you decide to use those as well.
  17. Hi AW, welcome to Eurobricks! (I already replied to this post but it got deleted?) Showing a moc is a great way to introduce yourself to this forum - well done! :) I like your alternate colour scheme and shaping of the pods - not all all Nebulons have the same configuration of the Redemption. Your stand an plaque is very clean looking - good job! However, the sword part seems to be sagging a bit - may put and few transparent bricks under there? My only point of critique is the engines. A Nebulon should have seven engines, place a bit differently. Great work!
  18. Hehe, I knew someone would comment on that :D However, maybe it is another YT-1300 Light Freighter getting supplies from the Nebulon B? :D This is a few cm bigger. From tip to stern the 10030 is just over 98cm. This is just over 100cm :) Thank you :) As for the smaller engines: First remove the barrel (engine). Then add a few bricks to the round platform. On top of the bricks place a plate with a hinge brick on top. When you place a plate on the hinge brick you can see how much higher the platform needs to be before adding the barrel again. In terms of plates you can look at pictures what I have used :) To make everything easier you can build the entire structure in hand. I did the that and went back and forth a few times adding it to the ship to get the correct height and shape.
  19. But that is not how it is supposed to look! :) See the pictures from the side in my original post :)
  20. I'm blushing :) I have no files of this at the moment :/ My kid also wants to play with it, but he is a tad too young - 9 months :) Thank you :) It took around 5 months I think :) As for references, you can look at them for hours and always miss something - it can drive one mad :D I know what you mean about the detailing - it is all about the lighting. Looking at the reference shots the ship can look very flat and very intricate, depending on the light. That made it a bit hard to find the proper detail level, but there was a version that had a few more bits on, which I decided to scrap. The pictures are taken to show off as much detail as possible, but that is also why I felt it was necessary to have the livingroom shot :) Sitting on the shelf in my Lego room, it looks just right :)
  21. Looking great Darth! I like your stories to give your ships personality and purpose. Since I built my GR-75, I wanted to create a smaller more midi-scale version of the ship, I seems you have beat me to it - I might still give it a shot though ;) What is the brick count? And it goes without saying that I have a thing for building fleets as well :)
  22. Hi AW, welcome to Eurobricks! Well built Nebulon - a god moc is great way to introduce oneself here :) I like your alternative colour scheme and pod design - not all Nebulons carries the same pods as the Redemption. I'm also a fan of you stand and display card - very clean! I would suggest putting a few transparent brick under the sword, it seems to be sagging a bit in the front. Good job!
