Yeah, I'm legitimately surprised that I'm literally the only person who remembered Avina's name from 51. Then again, it's not like I haven't forgotten important details either...

Okay, here's how it works: In-universe, Arthur is retired from Heroica the in-game organization. What this effectively means is that he is not under the protection of the Aurora Nôrnalis, and thus will die if he remains Knocked Out at the end of a battle. In OOC terms, Arthur is not retired (he's still a character I'm actively using, as evidenced by my recent trades and by my signing him up for Quest #139), but will be retired once he's completed 15 Quests (or I've hosted 5, whichever comes first) and I can start my second character without deleting Arthur. Hopefully that simplifies things.

Ha ha ha...I just realized that I created Etheria, and had completely forgotten doing so. Looking forward to seeing Zepher flesh it out--and it's especially interesting to me that we'll soon have four simultaneous Quests exploring PC-created regions.
-
I'd love to see Sandy's take on the dragons--particularly since Miirym's about two or three Quests from the next phase (so I have to figure out a new build by then).

You can always use Blue-tac or clay to stick extra hats and accessories on.

Yeah, deffo needs a cape--I think the purple one Witch Karie is using would still work well, or a black one with stars if you own one. I'm also not a huge fan of the hairstyle--it's not flamboyant enough. Maybe this if you have it, or this as an alternative? I do like the rest of the outfit, though. ...actually, I kind of wish you could stick a black fedora on Karie's existing hairstyle--would work really well and add to the blues vibe.

I think that was Nyx, actually--back when Battle Mage SHIELD dealt damage to the heal target.
-
Actually, Althior hit Arthur with it, and that's what brought up the whole discussion.
-
He can only do that in combat. Seriously, it's come up before.
-
Again, the Healing Staff can't be used outside of battle. It's only usable during combat.
-
Actually, FYI, the Healing Staff can't be used outside of battle.

Just for the sake of clarity, when I use mobs in the Fields, I will be using both the "free hit while outnumbering" and "Assassination kills only one of the Mob" rules, both for challenge and for consistency.
-
I put it as a note at the bottom of the list of enemies, rather than type it out multiple times. I figured it was an inherent part of the mob mechanic at this point.
-
Kinto, don't forget that mobs get an extra Free Hit a la Hastened if they outnumber the standing party members.
-
Oh, right, Damage rolls. I've always seen Damage rolls run as Miss, but again that's with the Healing Staff.
-
Are we talking Hexed or "Jinnipher finally got tired of Lind's bull****"? In the former case, in all but one instance I've seen it run as basically a Hero - power Row ignoring Free Hit; in the latter case, I've never seen a Shield roll outside of the Healing Staff (which obviously changes how some Shield skills work). In Jinnipher's case, I'd probably rule that, barring a full-on side change (i.e. Hero stating they want the whole party dead or something), Sentinel still protects the Hero party and not the enemies; however, I'm also the sort of QM who would let you ignore a specific Hero from Sentinel if you so desired, just like Brickdoctor was willing to let my Shield roll affect Isabella in Quest 31.

I really want to see Karie as a maurader now, dual-wielding her two whips.

All Scrolls have a 50/50 odds of success/failure; it doesn't need to be listed on the item itself.
-
I could see it working the other way around; that is, an Artifact (i.e. not upgradeable without Bright Polish) that can double as a shield in a time of need. It'd also have to only be suitable for shield-bearing classes, but I think that was sort of a given.

Well, that was a surprisingly useful plunge through the archives. Surprisingly, Heroica Hall was more helpful in getting me information on a certain location than the 3 Quests that actually took place there.

"Well..." Noel seems to consider something for a moment. "...Nah. My great-aunt has me covered." The half-elf tries to surreptitiously straighten his hat without Sorrow noticing. "I've been cool. Hanging out with Hél a lot. Doin' my own thing." "Blowing up trash bins. Animating dinnerware. Sending a cow to the moon." The tips of Noel's ears go red. "Dude! Stop embarrassing me!" Arthur chuckles. "All right, all right, I'll quit giving you a hard time." Still blushing, Noel scampers up to his room as coolly as he can manage. Arthur just shakes his head. "I should probably go up there and smooth things over before he has too long to stew. And like I said, I don't want to keep you too long if you've got a Quest to prepare for. We can talk more when you get back."
-
"Actually, I was meaning to talk to you about that... See, not long after I left Heroica, I remembered someone...someone who I shared a...unique connection with, someone I met as a Hero who wanted nothing to do with Heroica. The problem is, I haven't been able to find her. It's like she vanished from Eubric the moment we parted. I don't want to hold you up right now, but afterwards, if you get a chance...could you perhaps look into the realm of the dead and tell me if you find someone named Lynne?" As if on cue, the door slams and Noel's voice rings out. "Arthur, did I just see Karie walk out of here?" Arthur quietly speaks to Sorrow before Noel enters the dining room. "Like I said, another time, when you get the chance." He turns to greet his half-brother as he walks in, a struggling plate clutched in the half-elf's hands. "Yeah it was. Want me to take that while you get your Scroll?" "Er--" Noel's eyes flicker over to Sorrow for a moment. "Nah, man, I got this. How's it going, Sorrow?" Arthur raises an eyebrow but doesn't speak as Noel struggles upstairs with the uncooperative dish. A resounding thud echoes from upstairs, and a moment later Noel reappears, leaning casually against the wall as he nods at Sorrow.
-
Arthur smiles at his house-guests. "Honestly, it's just good to hear your voices, especially yours, Karie. It's been far too long." "I don't want to keep you, though. It's getting late, and I'm sure Masson will want to see you before you head off again. Feel free to drop by anytime, though--odds are, I'll be here."

Where is Pandora these days, anyway? #139 seems as much up Nyx's alley as it does Arthur's.

He could and did use it as a Witch... Clerics can use staves.
