Actually, because Pinocchio is dead, he cannot share any information now, that would be against the rules. @ Hinckley: sorry, won't do that again.

A Reminder to Heroica Players (and all members)
Flipz replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, and it annoys the Heroica QMs to no end. It's a great way to save sig space (especially in a way that--I think--uses up no extra bandwidth), but it's impossible to copy/paste. I believe Brickdoctor has them in his sig, as does Bricksandparts, if you want to see what it looks like. -
Unless it's Witch Hunt Mafia and TinyPiesRUs is letting the vigilante shoot up your ugly grave imeanwut.

Heroica RPG - Quest #17: The Lion's Share
Flipz replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Can Lord Davril damage Arthur if he's on the ground down there and Arthur's on top of the Northwest Tower? If not... "All right, let's try to take out Lord Davril!" Arthur decides to try out a different gem for once, and casts a Wood spell at Lord Davril from the back row." "Aye, lad! Unless the Mini Merlin is damaged this Round, I'll cover ya an' Master Delvergrow by attackin' Lord Leorry from tha Back Row." -
I got a message "There is an error with the database" just after 9:00 PM Pacific time for Eurobricks. The forum index gave me a 404 not found when I tried to view it. Problem fixed itself just a minute or two ago.

Mafia: The only game in which, when I go to PM the host for clarification about a rule, my first instinct is "what if they turn out to be Scum?"

I'll definitely be buying this--most likely to get the promo Hulk. True, Black Widow's horrendous, but I'm blaming the face--when will LEGO learn that lines make minifigs look old?! I definitely want to see some other fleshie faces on BW to see if they look any better.

I love you.

Well, if we can wait for 2015, and if the Back to the Future Cuusoo project gets 10,000 votes and gets delayed until then, we'd almost definitely get a 1955 set or two... Oh, and since this is the Embassy: LEGO, PLEASE delay Back to the Future until 2015, the symbology of that year with BTTF is just too good to miss! I, personally, would like to see a series of City lines representing different countries. Having traveled a bit, I can say that the crowded, unruly streets of Japan are far different from the less-crowded but still messy streets of Seoul, which are totally different from the "clustered" cities near Cairns, Australia (it's kind of hard to describe, sorry Aussies! ), which are completely different from cities like Los Angeles and San Diego. Not to mention the wide variations between cities even within the U.S., or the completely different aesthetics found in Europe... Of the examples I just gave, I'd most like to see Japan, the architecture there is just insane; you build where you can, in between roads that wind around and through and over each other, resulting in all manner of irregularly-shaped buildings. I recall a building I would pass on the way from my house to the Navy base in Yokosuka, it was a three-story building that was triangular, and the building next to it was shaped like a semicircle. Closer to the base, there was a 7-story department store that existed in four separate buildings, on each corner of the intersection; the fifth (or was it sixth?) floor of each building was connected to the adjacent buildings by bridges. Daiei Mall just outside Yokosuka is beyond explanation; you have to go there and experience it to understand it. Any or all of these would be brilliant LEGO sets, and I'd love to see TLG use the City line to expand childrens' cultural awareness this way.

Can we kill Gio for that awful cliffhanger? Vote: Gio (NPC) I jest. Again, I apologize for being absent so much today and yesterday, I will see what I can do to reestablish consistent Internet access, but...no guarantees. If it unduly interferes with the game, Sandy, I understand if you have to replace me. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Apologies for going missing, real life a particularly intense fantasy has gotten to me. I'll try to be back soon but...the people responsible for it are kind of being jerks about it. Sorry. -

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Day One
Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh, hey, wow, it has been 24 hours. Well, I don't think it's aganst the rules to vote now even though God hasn't announced voting to be open, so... Vote: Pinocchio(Poison Ivy). Aside from the arguments I presented against her, she's not posted very much, and her defenses don't add up, as Goldilocks said at the end of this statement. If anyone can think of a reason why Pinocchio isn't a good candidate for the lynch, I'd love to hear it, otherwise, so long, and enjoy Mirror World! -
No April 6 summary? Or are you guys just too busy discussing Mafia in the guild chat?

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Day One
Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That particularly would be less useful than one might think. A specific number of posts doesn't indicate alignment, it's a combination of post statement count, statement style, and other scumminess. There are a couple of very quiet people here who I have a read on as quiet, but Good Guy, and a couple of Scum candidates who are relatively active, but scummy as heck. Very few scumtells are worth a lynch or vigkill on their own, but together several clues can convict someone. -

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Day One
Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's basically a one-time-use trap, that most Scum fall for. And this time it did, giving us a solid Day 1 lynch. I would be suspicious of you if you did not suspect me. Whoever said "ignorance is bliss" never played Mafia lived through a situation like ours, a better motto would be "vigilance is bliss." You are clearly quite blissful. As I said before, counting speeches helps us see who's being active and who may try to fly under the radar. It's no guaranteed Scum trap, but in lieu of a particularly suspicious suspect a low-key figure is a good choice. Knowing that, Scum are forced to keep laying low and risk capture for that, or else start speaking a lot and say things they'll later regret. -

Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
While I wasn't actually suggesting we all reveal our alliance, I was defending my decision to reveal mine: I hoped that it would entice a Scum to falsely claim their alliance and make one or more slip-ups that would condemn them. Considering how hard Pinocchio incriminated herself, I'd say it was a success. There have been quite a few new points made, I must check over some things in private and, when I have a moment, list how many times everyone has spoken again. -
To the people whose childhoods I just ruined: I'm sorry. Not! :P To the people whose childhoods I have not yet ruined: try not to think to hard about the last part of Cindy's most recent comment. Or better yet, don't think about the last part of it at all.

Mafia School: A Bedtime Story - Day One
Flipz replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Actually, I didn't start talking about degrees of Scum activity until someone brought up the accusation that I was Scum. I simply responded with the most reasonable defense I could think of: the truth. Oh, and, why do you need a magic carpet, Aladdin? I'm here, I'm already out of my clothes, let's go on a better kind of "magic carpet ride". -
