If gold's the issue, I hear one of Heroica's sponsors has an excellent long-term repayment program. What was his name, Girly? Gundam? Anyhow, new question: why'd you join with the Lion Knight rebels? Did you really think that'd go unnoticed back in Eubric, especially with the Lion Knights setting up shop in the Free Islands?"

Holy cow, longest blackout yet--this one lasted at least 20 minutes, it JUST ended at 9:33 PM Pacific time. They're getting worse... I wonder if this is somehow linked to what's going down at BionicleZonePower, and it's just that we have better security...

I was going to say something to Doc, but then I realized I could both set up something perfectly AND tease the rest of you Dastan Questers the way you've been teasing me. Doc (and probably Masked, K-nut, and Legonater) will know what I'm talking about. So, Doc, about this situation: two words: Ailyn Vel. Just stretch it out longer than the original, as obviously doing it too soon would stop us dead in our tracks. EDIT: Doc, can I say for the record that I am enjoying this interaction far more than I humanly should be?

"All right, Alexandre, use your Diplomacy to play good cop, I'll play bad cop. Skrall, you play whatever role you feel is most appropriate, same for you Isabella." Arthur holds out both his staves, charging his ordinary staff with darkness bolts enough to cause pain but not further injury. He holds them above the Tethusial's shoulders, his Healing Staff in his left hand. "Alright, rebel, here's the deal. In my left hand, above your right shoulder, is a Healing Staff. It does exactly what it says on the tin." He drops the tip of the staff for a brief moment, so the Tethusial can get a tiny taste of the healing power within the staff. "In my right hand--my staff. My combat staff. Currently channeling the raw power of darkness from within me and my elemental gem." He uses his left hand to open his robe to reveal the amethyst tucked inside an inner pocket, "accidentally" brushing the tip of the staff against the Tethusial's shoulder for a brief moment of pure pain. "Here's how it works: you tell us something we want to hear, I drop my left hand; lie, resist, or try to escape, and I drop my right. Got it? Good. First question: what is the Rebels' next target?"

Arthur lowers his voice, so only Skrall and perhaps a passing Hero could hear. "You speak of the Wren Fighters, don't you? This battle reminds me uncannily of the wars you had to face in Haddon. I would not be surprised if your friends got word of such things and suspected her presence. Though whether or not she is actually here, I cannot say." To forestall any confusion, Arthur pulled out his copy of the Quest Book of that Quest. "I kept this one because, well, because you were on this Quest. I brought along your others as well. Pity I had to leave the rest behind, but, books of such length are quite heavy..." Arthur shrugs. "I would wager on the Cult of the Chimera allying themselves with the rebels we are after--or worse, being one in the same." Arthur appears nervous, and looks over his shoulder frequently. "Damn," he mutters, "what I wouldn't do for a Magnifying Glass. Without Dad's..." he shakes his head. "Never mind. Knights, did you find any survivors?"

Arthur checks to see if any of the rebels are still alive. "If we can manage to get some information out of one of them..." OOC: Am I Level 11 or just Level 10.5? The rules say 1-10 gets 1 Level per battle, but I'm pretty sure in practice it's only a half-level increase...

Yeah, but Rumble Strike and Xarrzan apparently are. (Well, assuming Rumble Strike actually goes through with the obvious "sand worm" battle he's building up to. )

They were "exclusive" parts from this one-of-a-kind promo set I have. The guy who won this Pod got dark blue 2x4 tiles well before the Droid Tri-Fighter was released. I have to say, I'm a bit relieved to find I wasn't the only one who got stiffed a bit on the "exclusivity" of the exclusive bricks, now!

Man, what is with all of the QMs' obsession with worms?! *re-reads pretty much every Mafia game here* Oh, that's why...

I believe I shall copy most of my previous joking sign-up here. 1. I just recently graduated from Mafia School: A Bedtime Story, where as Doctor I led the Town to disaster. I really, really need to redeem myself. 2. I have one event on the 19th of May and one on June 6th. Other than that, I have no major plans, and I should be able to post at LEAST once every 24 hours, even on those days. 3. My favorite Star Wars character? Hmm, that's a tough one. I think I'd have to go with a three-way tie between Mara Jade (naturally), Jaina Solo (AFTER the NJO angst was over with, of course), and Mirta Gev (*SPOILER*: Boba Fett's granddaughter).

OK, because this has been gnawing at me... (Disclaimer: I am not planning this, if I suspeced it of anyone it would probably be Tammo. ) Random question of the random time interval: If someone hosted an obvious My Little Pony parody Quest, who would sign up, and in what order? And a Question for Sandy, because all of the bronies on here will undoubtedly bug you about it : If someone were to pitch you such a Quest, would you allow it?

Unfortunately, didn't work for me. Same. Also, it happened again for exactly one minute, from 7:51 PM Pacific Time to 7:52 PM Pacific Time.

OOC: Question for future battles, even though I doubt it will come up (you know, given Arthur's budget ): if a Hero in command of a unit has a status effect (i.e. Lucky or Poisoned or Afraid), will it affect the entire unit? Or will the effect just carry over to the next character-scale battle (i.e. taking a Nostrum just before troop combat won't affect troop combat and will carry over to the next character-level battle)? Or ( ) would the benefeits of that effect just be useless and be lost?

You know, JimButcher, if Hybros is going to use those consumables all the time, maybe you should write his name as Hybros.

Dang it, and just hours after I thought of doing this, too! Guess I'll actually have to be creative this time. They look great, I'm rather jealous (in case you couldn't tell)!
