  1. Arthur, unable to take another hit, stands in the Back Row and use his Healing Staff on himself. "Don't worry about me, Luke, you should heal Alexandre." Count Knyghton attacks Pikeman B from the Back Row.
  2. I have a shorter Quest concept in mind, I'll try and get it PM'd to you sometime this week.
  3. "All right then. Miss Isabella, mind takin' Pikeman A so we can take advantage of his Confusion?
  4. Coiunt Knyghton beams, before attacking the Rogue Lion Commander from the Front Row. "Everyone, they can't deal Free Hits! Luke should target Pikeman A ta take advantage o' tha Confusion, tha rest should take on tha Commander!" Arthur nods and uses his Amethyst to blast the Commander from the Back Row.
  5. That's different. In that case, they couldn't risk major action against the Heroes without the risk of their own illicit dealings being exposed. Remember: the Houses are good at indirect action, so that if something goes wrong and the plot is exposed they're not caught directly attacking another House but instead apparently doing something unrelated.
  6. What, getting hard evidence against the Hinckwells or the Shadeaux? Honestly, I think that goes against the spirit of the two. These houses are GOOD at hiding what they do, that's kind of their whole point. If one House wanted to hire Heroes to investigate the other, I could see that, but I couldn't see the Quest succeeding in that regard. Quest 2 was a good example ot that concept.
  7. Think of it this way: all the Houses are corrupt, but they aren't criminals. (At the very least, there's not enough evidence for a conviction.) The Wolfgang have skipped right past "corrupt" to "outright criminal"; thus, any Wolfgang exposed would be immediately arrested. Even if they got a note posted in the Hall, the Town Watch would just show up and intercept the Wolfgang before the Heroes could get there, AND they'd likely throw the Heroes who signed up into prison as well.
  8. "More than you know, Knight...more than you know..." Arthur returns his attention to the battle at hand.
  9. "Too well, I'm afraid. You haven't seen the things I've seen, felt the things I've sensed. It's a unique sensation, part of you being stripped away. But in away I'm glad. Because I can see clearly what has to be done now."
  10. TvTropes has a helpful explanation of the phenomenon.
  11. "And you've no clue what I've been dealing with. So shove it and stay out of my way before you get hurt. I know what I have to do, and I'm not letting anyone get in my way, no matter how well-intentioned you may be."
  12. Arthur growls--not as a human angered, but in a dark, almost animalistic tone. He points his staff menacingly at Alexandre, and then at Isabella. In a quiet, dangerous voice that wouldn't carry to the others, he spits back, "When these Rogue Knights are dealt with, you and the Rogue are going to get what's coming to you...!"
  13. "Skrall has him covered, I don't want to take an extra Free Hit," Arthur snarls. "Besides, all these jerks have the same Defense anyway, better to just get the weaker ones out of the way quick so we don't have to take extra hits." OOC: If Count Knyghton can't attack the chunk of wood, he'll switch his attack to an untargetted Pikeman.
  14. "Isabella, would ya mind takin either Pikeman D or Pikeman E, preferably from the Front Row? Also, Alexandre, ya might ought ta take Pikeman C from tha front row."
  15. URL added for emphasis.
  16. Gasp! You mean, the real you has a split personality as well? Sorry, had to be said.
  17. Hee ha ha hee ha ha! That was awesome! It makes me think a lot of WBD's QM style, actually. Everyday life in Eubric and the like. I wish more QMs did that, it's a great way to add life to the Quest, and to Eubric in general.
  18. [rant] This is going to be slightly off-topic, but: Embrace that challenge, LEGO! Vehicles are cool and all, but after a while they just get boring, and no one will buy a set that bores them except possibly if it's a fantastic parts pack. One of the things that sets Star Wars apart from other sci-fi franchises *cough*Star Trek*cough* is that there's more of a focus on the "Wars" than the "Star"; that is, the planets (I'm counting the Death Star and Endor as "planets" for the sake of conversation) are more important than the space battles and the like. Endor. Hoth. Tatooine. Naboo. Coruscant. All of these are iconic environments, with their own unique style that's just waiting to be expressed in LEGO form. Radiant VII? Tantive IV? Delta-7B Light Interceptors? Beautiful, yes, and certainly quite important to Star Wars lore, but nowhere near as much as the worlds themselves. I'd argue that, in terms of being truly iconic, only the X-wing and the Millennium Falcon fit the bill the way that the planetary worlds do. Now, I understand that TLG needs to make smart financial choices, and that affects what sets they make, and vehicles sell. I understand that. But seriously, we've had enough starfighters to last us a loooooooooong time; we need more planetary scenes. We have all sorts of minifigures but few official sets in which to play with them. TL;DR, we've waited FAR too long for Jabba's Palace. Don't make us wait this long for the next one, OK LEGO? [/rant] EDIT: And in on-topic news... I think you know which set I'm getting. Though I may pick up the skiff as well if it's not too expensive--I'll have to recalculate my summer budget to adjust for new set preferences.
  19. I have to say: loved the play. I cannot wait for the game in which you and I play together with Hinckley.
  20. Count Knyghton, thinking fast, smashes the wooden post holding up the portcullis from the Front Row. "We can take a Free Hit, we don't want anythin' comin' through here!" Arthur, meanwhile, attempts to Confuse Rogue Lion Pikeman A. "Skrall, might I suggest using your Heavy Crossbow on the leader?"
  21. They'll probably post it when the game is done. Though I whole-heartedly second the sentiment!
  22. EDIT: whoops, thought it would auto-merge. Delete, please!
  23. Well, at least I'm consistent. Night 2 kill two games in a row! Great playing with you all, make sure you win it for me, Jedi! EDIT: Typo.
  24. Arthur nods to Knyghton, and the Engineer reluctantly stands with him. The two stand in front of the Imperial Pikeman in silence for several seconds before Arthur courteously motions for Knyghton to take the lead. Taken somewhat aback, the Engineer complies. "Uh, hallo there. If ya don't mind, could ya tell us about tha defensive capabilities of this fort? Fortification strength, available siege weapons, available anti-siege weapon defenses, tha' sort of thing?" Arthur nods politely. "If your leaders don't have any specific orders for us at the moment, Count Knyghton and I would like to get started on improvements and fortifications straight away." He pulls the pikemen aside for a moment. "Also, are there any areas within the fortress where--" he sternly resists the urge to glance over his shoulder "--where we can potentially ambush enemies? You know, in case they somehow slip within the walls of the fort?" OOC: Doc, now that I'm dead in Mafia you do realize that I'll be hounding you twice as hard for this, right?
  25. That may be the single most awesome thing I've seen this month. That's AWESOME! They totally need to do this in all the stores.
