And conversely, if you're Scum, I'm confirmed to not be scum as well. Why should we lynch a Town Power Role when the other possibility for Scum is a claimed Vanilla? Losing a Vanilla would be less harmful to us than losing a Power Role. Also, just to let you all know, I'm going to be out for a few hours, taking a family member to a medical appointment.
-
Because I'm not Scum.
-
You only do that when you're not going after a Power Role, though. Granted, for safety purposes, I'm going to have to self-target for the rest of the time we're here, limiting my options and making me a little less useful than I could have been, but it's still more than we'll have available to us if I'm dead.
-
I'm not bending anything, it fits with what we know. I even acknowledged that there are other possibilities, though; for all I know, the Scum decided to kill you, but a doctor got redirected from me to you, saving your life. I just don't know, I was simply pointing out the possibility that came to mind first. There are other ways he could have learned this, from private conversations and the like.

We must have cross-posted; see the post right above yours. OK, that's the nail in HIS coffin, then, as a Power Role I can't let myself be lynched because some crazy Neutral is afraid of Scuba. He'll never forgive me, but this is too important, especially since we now have a normal Cop (according to Scuba). CallMePie is the Neutral Cop. He claimed to me at the end of Night 1: At the time, I was of the mind that Pie was our ONLY cop; my emphasis on the benefeit to Scum was demonstrating that the role itself wouldn't be unbalanced (and thus, was indeed reasonable). Since there's apparently a normal cop, though, it's not worth protecting him, especially if it comes at the expense of my life. I can't know that for sure; the Vig could have targeted Wright and it still would have gone through. I don't see what is redirected. But I'm pretty sure that's why that switcheroo was shown for that Night. This time, since neither me nor Commander Walters died, it was unnecessary to show the switch. It's simple: the kill switches between the different Scum team members. Night 1, you didn't perform any action, because you weren't the chosen killer. Last Night, thinking you wouldn't be blocked twice in a row, you decided to take up the kill, and then our Blocker's block got redirected to you. That's not the only possibility, of course (our doctor may have made a smart decision that saved someone's life), but it's the one that comes to my mind, given the information I have available to me.
-
The Scum team would have to be HUGE in order to balance a player pool of 23 people, unless there are two teams or unless the Scum got conversions. In any case, it has little bearing on the case against me, I'm simply defending our Neutral Cop, though if Scuba's found a real cop then perhaps I needn't be so worried about defending him (especially since he doesn't see fit to defend me at all despite the fact that my loyalty to him is a millstone around my neck at this point ). Oh, no, his blocker did indeed block someone, but they didn't block me; the action was redirected. I know this because I'm the one who did it--I'm the Redirector. Last Night, I redirected all actions from me to Commander Walters, just like Night 1 I redirected all actions from Scouty to Awesomestar. Of course, now that you've forced me to claim publicly, I'm mostly useless to you, since I'll be permablocked or killed by the Scum unless I always target myself, but there you go. That's what happened.
-
I forgot how many days have gone by, give me a break, I'm dealing with outside stuff! In any case, I don't think the Scum would wait until night 2 to convert somebody; what if their converter got killed or lynched before then? No, it's more likely that the Scum don't get conversions, and thus that there are two teams of Scum.
-
Given the number of people here, a second Scum team is MORE than likely. If there isn't, I'd question balance, unless the Scum have conversions; since there was a kill on the first two Nights, I highly doubt that. It's simple math, really.
-
Yeah, and that's YOU, not me. I've been dealing with other issues outside of Eurobricks outside the ship, for once this situation isn't at the forefront of my mind. It simply never occurred to me that Wheeler would have me blocked, for the simple fact that I wasn't, and that he had no reason to. Repeated? As far as I know, that was the first post I made today. It's called "posting right before you go to bed because you don't want the topic buried in the morning," I do it all the time in Heroica. I'm just repeating the info I was given; for obvious reasons, I DON'T want to publicly out the Cop, even though he is Neutral. It makes perfect sense when there's two Scum teams; the Scum would benefeit from a Neutral cop helping them to find the rival Scum and eliminate them.

Erm, one problem with this story...I never got any word of being blocked last night. I don't know why you found my reply so suspicious, considering you cut off contact with me last night; I honestly thought you were talking about something in the earlier PMs, and could not figure out what. It didn't occur to me that you'd tried to block me, since, you know, it didn't happen. Oh! Shoot! I think I know what happened! Lt. Wheeler, give me a moment, I need to speak to you privately.

I am ambivalent on that one. The Enterprise D was really cool and TNG was a better series in general - but the Enterprise A is so elegant! The sleek lines, the clean hull... it really is majestic Why do the Enterprise B and C get so little love? The Ent-C, especially, that whole episode was REALLY good. Anyway, on the subject of this model...it's fantastic! It certainly blows all of my previous Trek ships out of the water!

Hey Scuba...when are you going to reveal who was blocked? We're all kind of waiting for your case in order to proceed...

I think I'm going to have to put up a link to Quest #28 in the first post, labelled simply as "roleplaying master-class." "...do I even have to say anything? I think this one speaks for itself. Keep a close watch, though, I expect plenty more to come out of this Quest in the very near future! " "For the Heroica Theatre, this is Bilbert Wigglepike, reminding you...that character counts!"

OOC: Shouldn't Alexandre and I get an experience increase from that battle? Bored by Loren, Arthur munches his Zoot's Cookie, gaining another +1 to his maximum Health. "Ah, I get it. Lyonel's on your side. Clever, really well done. I presume you've already taken care of our countermeasures? Shame, I sort of liked Alandri, he would have made an entertaining servant after we evacuated him to Eubric. Of course, he wouldn't have known of his servitude--he's a puppet, and puppets aren't supposed to see the strings on which they dance. I know I don't, and you Rogues don't see yours, either. But that's OK. It's no fun when people fight their puppetmaster. Why, my party and I could flee back to Eubric with our tails between our legs right now, and leave you unopposed, but you wouldn't enjoy it as much that way. I'm a reasonable fellow, so I'm going to inform you of what you did wrong:" "First, you insulted me. For that I shall remove your eyeballs from your skull, while you are still conscious, in case you were wondering. And second...just because I am offering you a choice, doesn't mean you actually have one. Either way, there is only one way this can end. One which you yourself predicted, incidentally. 'And they died happily ever after.' What a delightful ending!" Arthur unleashes a Shadow bolt at Laurant as Knyghton aims his already-loaded and drawn crossbow and Luke summons an aura of energy around Arthur's loaned staff, in perfect timing with Alexandre removing the last elements of his guard disguise. The light from Luke's spell, bright enough to be seen for miles, shines behind the party, casting a golden glow hinting at the badassery to come. Arthur grins. "You first." OOC: Because I know you won't be able to resist making some kind of illustration for this, I'm going to go get some high-quality shots of Arthur's face for you so you can photoshop it into this image. -
LU failed because of internal politics at TLG. Were there problems? Yes, lots of them. But the game wasn't given time to work them out, and the way it was shut down (out of the blue, with no warning to the people who worked on the game) was handled VERY poorly. I personally am hoping that people who played LU get SOME sort of exra bonus in this game.

"Well, we could stand here and duke it out, or we could settle this like gentlemen. After all, we are but hired swords, so we have no specific care as to what happens here; if a compromise can be reached that shall (at least partially) satisfy all parties, then all the better for us--particularly if we can claim a reward from both sides. But it would be rude to negotiate when one side has all the information and the other has none, don't you agree? Therefore, we're going to need some answers--and we are going to get them. You have no idea the hell we've had to deal with trying to puzzle out what's been going on in this gods-forsaken desert, and we are not in the mood to be ducked with." "So first: who is allied with who? I know of you, the Cult of the Chimaera, Lady Wren, and a man by the name of XX; I also know that Emperor Roland is considered a traitor for some unknown action. I want to know who's working together, and to what ends?" -
They're from a screenwriting book, "Creating Short Screenplays that Connect," by... *looks up author* Claudia Hunter Johnson. Really great book that I just recently found again in a box from my move (yes, it's been over a year and I'm still going through boxes ). Fixed the "hates" row for you. I'll fill out the form later, don't feel like typing it up right now. :P

"No, wait, the crossbowmen deal double damage against will shoot the steeds out from beneath Mounted units, that's why we lost so many Knights before. Have the Knights scout some more while the pikemen move into position." -

Flipz replied to Brickdoctor's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Knights C should have moved an additional hex NorthWest. Arthur opens his mouth to speak, but the troops have already chosen the best course of action; the pikemen all move NorthWest again, Crossbowmen A try the Tethusials again, and Crossbowmen B shoot Rogue Pikemen A. -
Arthur telepathically signs up mid-battle.

Fill out this form (privately, unless you want to PM me or someone else for help), and see where it gets you. The above is in spoilers simply to prevent Wall of Text syndrome; I highly recommend it for all players. If you're just starting a character, you may want to fill out this slightly different version of the form, though this form can be useful for established characters as well: Whether you do one or both, these checklists will be VERY helpful for your character. Having said that, the number one thing you need to worry about here is: are you having fun? If you're not, figure out what WOULD be fun for you and go from there.

"Alexandre, send your Knights Northwest to make sure there are no surprises waiting for us, the other troops can deal with the rebels we have here. Crossbowmen A, take the Tethusial Crossbowmen! Crossbowmen B, hold your ground, all other troops, NorthWest one hex."
