... ...oh god. I just realized I'm partly responsible for this. You know how I said that the Heroes only have vague hazy memories of the events on the Writeboard? ...Well, Atramor's story is basically the events of that madness, runthrough a blender set on "puree", and filtered through a hangover.

Yes, I understand your strategy, but two wrongs don't make a right. Better to go to Sandy the Veterans to have it sorted out.
-
Because this is an issue more serious than just roleplaying. Sandy may have to get involved, and if he does generally Bad Things will happen.

Arthur follows Johon, but keeps his distance. Something inside of him was telling him this wasn't going to end well. Preoccupied with his feelings of foreboding, Arthur does not notice Johon's thievery, nor does he notice that Nur holds the Scroll of Luck. Meanwhile, the mysterious figure from before continues to trail Arthur, and sees the whole thing. "...the Veterans will want to know of this..." He races off to find his quarry, hoping that nothing would happen to his charge while he was gone...

Calling it now: Quest 44 will have the choice between the party attacking the dragon...or Guts. c'mon, guys, you KNOW you all want some PvP action going on, especially if the dragon gets involved! It's a character roleplaying choice. Speaking of which...out-of-character, I'm disapproving of the impending disaster in the Hall. In-character...actually, I'm not sure what Arthur would think in-character. IC, Arthur does have an interest in the Scroll (if only because it's a Scroll), but I'm thinking it'll be best to bow to OOC and keep my character out of the fray.
-
Actually, I've been in talks with B&P for the Scroll for quite some time. If he's not just giving the Scroll of Luck to me, I KNOW he's not okay with Nur just taking it.

It's not yours, it was LENT to you.

@Sandy: Just checking; after all, the Library says their original identities are a "closely guarded secret". @Quest 42: Pretzel/Erdy shippers, go go go! I officially name this union "Erdzel".

It's really great to see the original Veterans coming into play in the present--first the Doomsayer, and now Yuliana Tiamateus, the Golden Dragon. It makes me realize that Heroica really is larger than we've gotten to see so far, that there are main plots and people that we haven't even touched yet. Incidentally, will Yuliana's identity be included in the official Quest record, or will it be hidden, only knowable by speaking to one of the Heroes who is currently on the Quest? (Not that they'll be hard to find, but still. ) Also, what part was used for Yuliana's face? Also, Zepher, was Constance deliberately based on the Golden Dragon, or was that just a happy coincidence?

Aw, darn, How to Train Your Dragon is locked to the shelf. I was hoping the Heroes could bring it back with them. Someone bring all the other books!
-
Man, that is one of the coolest enemies I've seen so far. Any chance of a high-res image, Sandy?

I have a strange feeling that someone with copious amounts of skill and spare time might find a way to write a Firefox and/or Chrome extension that could do the job of the old text editing interface (i.e. a toolbar with all the old formatting options, that would, when clicked, insert the correct BBCode or HTML into the currently-selected text field). If someone came out with that, I might actually consider switching from IE to a new browser...

Has anyone seen this new game on the LEGO Monster Fighters site? This'll be a great resource for anyone who wants to make MF-themed brickfilms. To the more tech-savvy users here: do any of you know of a way I could extract the individual sound bytes that you're supposed to place over the music? Several of them would be EXTREMELY helpful for certain secret projects I have in the works...

Upon checking out the Q40 stats...holy cow, I thought a lot of those Heroes were higher-leveled than that. I could have sworn Boomingham had hit Level 20 already! It'll be interesting to see how Arthur's relationships to these Heroes changes as he approaches them in experience and power--will it go to his head, will he pity them, or will he continue to treat them as his elders, his superiors, even when his Power outstrips theirs?

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Flipz replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
To the people talking about the Golden Ninja's eyebrows: EDIT: Also, I must congratulate whoever's been updating the Ninjago TV Tropes page; several series don't get updated until months after the episode comes out, but Ninjago's always been up to date when I've looked at it.- 4,591 replies

More of a look at gamer culture. I don't think we're using any music from video games, though as I said we're just now getting sound and lighting in (I'm off today while those specific elements are finalized, tomorrow is cue-to-cue). We have some really great atmospheric pieces, though--not music, but background ambiance, really eerie stuff. It makes me think a lot of Slender, actually, espectially the sound effects heard after you have 7 of the 8 pages. It's really quite creepy!

If you're referencing what I think you're referencing (and I'm pretty sure you are), then the whole party's pretty much screwed no matter who they choose. Then again, that's more an expression of my own cynicism toward what you're referencing than of anything in-game, so... Hmm...actually, if we DID have something like Heroica IRL, then maybe things WOULD be better... For reference, Arthur would say "blue" on an ideological level, but believes that nothing will actually be accomplished by either side.

Right now I'm one of six (!) ASMs on a production of Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom at CSULB. Tech week started on Thursday, and we open this Friday! It's been a really great process so far, our SM and most of us ASMs are all rather OCD, so our work is almost always well-organized and smooth-running--which makes it MUCH easier to deal with the inevitable disasters that happen than usual. Here's hoping our scenic crew puts as much effort into their work as we have in ours! The play itself is a really fun piece, exploring the world of video games and the people who play them. The show has a real Left 4 Dead vibe, which has only gotten creepier since we've started getting lighting and sound in. The set design is simple, but absolutely amazing; the highlight of the set is the floor, which is covered in pink and lime post-it notes (post-it notes are a major motif throughout the play). I don't know how he managed it, but our scenic designer arranged the different individual shades of post-its so that, under certain lighting conditions, hidden patterns emerge in the floor. It's unbelievably effective, and REALLY creepy. This is shaping up to be a fantastic show--if you live in California, come by and see us!

Ah, thanks! I should hard refresh for all the other forums as well, just in case.

I haven't said a word, my friend, CMP simply has mad analysis skills.

I find it oddly hilarious that Arthur has to specify Jess' gender to Thormanil.

"Haldor's lover, an elf. A female elf. She's an Assassin now, she's just been selected for a Quest. Hurry and ask her, before they depart!"

I don't think any more needs to be said.

Erm, hate to be a bother, but the Heroica subforum seems to be using the "LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games" background image rather than the Heroica background image.
