Great review and thanks for all the photos! Looks like an amazing set with lots of great features. With all the minifigs, it looks to be well worth the money. I can't wait for it to be released here in the US.

I got a response from Steve Witt (LEGO community relations coordinator) which seems to make sense:

I bought a number of the Droid Battle Packs back in January. I took 18 of the Super Battle Droids out and placed them on a baseplate and put them up on a shelf for later. Well, about 4 months go by and I look up and about half of them are bending over. I went to straighten them up and the torsos came right off. The clip on the leg was not broken but when I tried to re-attach the torso it was not tight, i.e. the clip would not hold it up. Strangely, this is only on about half of the 18. The others are tight and stand up straight. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

Great work! Very nice.

Qutie timely in that I just built this set for the first time last night so it is fresh in my mind. I agree the swamp speeder could have sold on its own with a couple of clones. Very 'neat' and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Catamaran is OK and kind of a repetitive build as you mentioned. However, I was surprised that the catamaran was bigger than I expected. Price is just OK and was hurt by the LULS figure. The set is a nice parts pack if you are looking for reddish brown.

10181 Eiffel Tower this August confirmed by reseller !

It is amazing how we can get advanced photos of sets coming out months in advance but Yoda will have the Eiffel Tower in a matter of days and there is not a single photo on the Internet anywhere. It just goes to show you that if TLC really wanted to keep sets under wraps, they could... -

Have there been any pictures of this set posted? Sorry if I missed them... -
Very nice review, thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm partly cloudy on this set, it just doesn't do anything for me. The DSS makes it even less desirable. The N-1 does seem to be a much better design the the first one so that is a plus. The minifigs look good as well.

Great review, Yoda! *yoda* I must confess that I am a bit jealous that Europe got these sets before we did as I was very anxios to review this and the MTT. Looks like it will be a few more weeks until we see them here. A few comments/questions: - How well do the 1/2 technic pins keep the 4x6 blue plates attached to the perimeter of the ring? - The blue JSF looks awesome! - The ring does look larger than I expected - That first page of the instruction manual is hilarious! Anyway, nice review and I'm looking forward to seeing your review of the N1. Were you going to get the MTT as well?

I really enjoy the new series. Growing up in a little town in Kansas we only had four TV stations and one was PBS. They aired classic Dr. Who episodes from the Tom Baker and Peter Davidson eras and I got hooked. I was able to track down some older episodes from the third Doctor, John Pertwee (sp?) so I have a pretty good handle on that era. Of course this was back in the late 1970s and 1980s so my recollection of the details are a bit sketchy. Here in the United States, the SciFi channel broadcasts the new series. I was happy to see Sarah Jane Smith come back last season. I also really liked Rose and Jack as the Doctor's Companions. Unfortunately, we won't get season three here until July. However, I have managed to 'acquire' the first two episodes and I think it is really good so far. I think Martha is a good companion so far. I also did see the runaway bride and thought it was pretty good. I thought Torchwood was an outstanding series. It has not aired here in the US and due to the adult content I doubt it will unless they really edit some things out. The series is really good, it is kind of like Dr Who meets the X-files. Does anyone know if they are planning a second series of Torchwood? Anyway, great stuff and I'm glad to see some other Dr Who fans out there.

Wow, that looks amazing! I keep bugging my local LEGO store about these new sets and all I get from them is "they won't be released until September..."

Great review, thanks for taking the time. I agree with your comments. As others have mentioned, it would have been nice to have a few more troopers with this set. In my opinion, this set along with the Gunship and JF Slave I are the only bright spots in an otherwise forgetable Episode II lineup. Another thing to note with the AT-TE is that there was a revision to the instruction manual on how the two middle legs are attached. I'm not sure if there was an actual service pack, but I seem to recall an additional instruction page replacing the existing page showing how to attach the legs. Anyway, great set and great review.

Nice review. This is probably my favorite Star Wars LEGO set. Nice detail, lots of minifigs, nice playability, displays well, etc. The only downer for me regarding this set is the huge number of stickers. I have a few of these sets and the stickers range from outstanding to flaking off and barely usable. Otherwise a fantastic set.

If you are referring to Cafe Corner, I built it to spec and did a photo review on it in this forum.

Wow, the cruiser looks better than I expected. I like the way the pod drops down. Gotta love the Lays potato chips and Krispy Kreme donuts to go along side your LEGOs!

Wow, I love the detail. Very nice. The cockpit is amazing!

I've never been able to get that to work properly. I'd be interested to know if anyone makes this work regularly...

Sounds like you guys will have a great time. I wish I could attend. I can't wait to hear how the raffle turns out.

Very nice! I've often thought of making one as well. I can't tell from the photo, but do the legs articulate at all or are they fixed? Those 4x4 printed radar dishes are not cheap on bricklink. Something like $8 each...
