I'm guessing it is real. However a $14.99 price tag looks more realistic than $9.99 we saw on the first wave of battle packs. Real or not, it makes for good lively discussion for another 23 days until the Falcon comes out...

Looks good so far. Can't wait to see more.

LOL, I am such a slow builder it is going to take me about three weeks to build this thing. I'm going to take my time and enjoy it because we're not likely to get another set as big and iconic as the Falcon.

Those do look good together. I should build the tractor as well. Nice lawn. I need to hire your gardener... -
[REVIEW] 8274 Combine Harvester
dunamis replied to dunamis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yup, I checked it out on wiki (there is some good information on Combine Harvesters if you are interested). Here is a photo of the Claas Harvester: That color scheme looks familiar ;-) -
I just used maj for the first time for my 8274 review (since bricklink wasn't taking uploads) and everything seemed fine. I did it the same way as I always did for bricklink.

Combine Harvester Reviewed by Dunamis Set 8274 1025 Pieces $69.95 from LEGO Downtown Disney Build time 5.5 hours The Combine/Harvester is one of three recently released Technic sets. I picked this one up at the Downtown Disney LEGO store back in July. Having grown up on the wheat fields of central Kansas, I am quite familiar with Combines and have ridden on one many times. Admittedly, I was hoping for the motorized bulldozer so this guy had to take its place. The Box: Fairly large box with the usual trimmings. The back of the box mostly shows the alternate model which is a dragster. The box design is back to the two seals in the front and the perforated top that flips up (that you may recall I had so much trouble with in the past.) Here is what you get inside: Once you get everything dumped out, you have 15 bags and four tires in addition to the four manuals. They do a pretty nice job of sorting everything out for you: The Manuals: Pretty straightforward manuals here and up to the usual LEGO standard and are 64,63,53 and 23 pages in length. The usual features are included: - Piece call outs for each step - Parts inventory at the end of the primary model build - Page numbers Color separation in these manuals were fine for the most part although I did mistake a dark gray for black a couple of times. Random manual photos: Parts list: The Pieces: Well, this IS a Technic set after all so you get a TON of Technic parts. There are some old-school parts. It was kind of a flashback to my earlier days of the expert builder sets (early Technic) back in the 1980s. For those of you youngsters, that was BEFORE cable TV (at least in Kansas)! The universal joint: And the gear rack: There are LOTS of studless beams, pins, lift arms, axles, connectors and a few panel fairings. Note for those of you who like studs in your LEGO sets, they are few and far between here. Probably less than 1% of the parts in this set even have studs. As far as color goes, mostly light and dark gray, lime green and black are your primary colors here. The Build: The build was pretty ordinary. Again, this is a Technic fan

2008 Exclusives turn up on "Replacement parts" page

Great find! These sets sound really cool. I'd love to add to my corner cafe and market street. Of course, I'm always in the market for new Star Wars sets too. Can't wait to see what these look like! -
Nice review, well done. I almost picked this up at Toys R Us today. It was $59.95. I stopped because I wondered if it was one of the sets that TRU jacks the price up. Sure enough, I was right. It is only $49.95 on the LEGO site. It appears that it looks better on the box than it really is. Anyway, thanks again for the review.

Interested in LDRAW-files of Lego sets?
dunamis replied to Holodoc's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Excellent! Thank you. I love LDraw and am trying to collect as many source files as I can get. -
The Glendale California LEGO store just (this morning) received the following: Technic Bulldozer Republic Cruiser Hoth Base Boy, that was an expensive trip. However, today only they are giving out 2x loyalty stamps so that softened the blow a little bit. Note that all next month is 2x loyalty stamps!

As far as we know, there is no real interior to the Falcon (except the cockpit). What you are seeing in the photos are all the technic beams to keep the structure together. It has been reported that it is a fairly heavy ship and the beams are necessary to keep the structure together and hold outer shell intact. Also, it has been said that you can pick it up and swoosh it around the room. We shall see...

That's pretty cool! Congrats on your find.

Nice review, thanks for taking the time. The set is better than I first thought but still falls short of expectations.

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
dunamis replied to Ickelpete's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the great review of this set. I've been looking forward to it as well and I am excited about the wireless controls like the Dino. I too am curious if this set has been released here in the US. I was told that it was a Sept 1 release. I agree about the battery life. My Dino set lasted about 4 hours too. -
The V-19 looks great! Hopefully, LEGO will give us a bunch of new material from the clone wars series.

I can review them (when they reach the states). I did pick up the new combine/harvester and will review it this week. -
Well, some questions are best left unasked (especially by my wife). But I easily have 500,000+ pieces...
-
Nice! Thanks for sharing. Congratulations!

Welcome to Eurobricks and thank you for the great review! I was a bit skeptical of this set at first but your review and photos makes more more excited about it now!
