I'm really curious about 42051 as I'm really keen with that as a display model on my shelf. Based on past technic release does anyone remember if lego ever release the 1H set so late like in march / april ? I remember the lego 8070 release was also late, it was in march 2011 right ? CMIIW.

I would take the technic batmobile with a grain of salt, it just doesnt make any sense.... and would surely alienate technic fans in favor to reaching to the broader audience (superhero movie fans). We can surely find out in february next year.

Actually that would look good with ladder on top and the water hose, but the fire truck set is definitely not the 1H flagship so I guess Lego is adjusting to the part count. Come to think of it, the only fire truck from lego technic is 8289, so this new set should be interesting. and the one has more curves and look more modern, albeit with lots of panel.

Looking at the helicopter and dragster doesn't excite me.... Just like everyone opinion here that the go-kart seems like the winner. And I also like the fire truck, it seems like a decent set.

Your review is spot on Jim !! I just build it and it is really an interesting build, and the frame is quite sturdy. I thought it would be flimsy but its not. I haven't seen people compare it to the 8070, and it is huge.... I'm very happy with the purchase, thanks to this review. Cheers.

Ultimate Intellectual Property Car ?, wow this got to be licensed set then. and probably flagship RC. but seeing theres already volvo in the list, could 2016 be the year where lego technic could have 2 licensed sets ? I'm gonna buy both of them either way :D

I'm more curious with the 1H flagship, and is it safe to say it's not a vehicle ? knowing the 24 hour race car 42039 for this year. in 2011 the 1H flagship was 8070 and the year after was the 9396 helicopter, I'm gonna guess for 2016 would be a plane or a boat !!

I personally think the 2016 RC set would be a licensed Bulldozer, sort of a remake like the bulldozer in 2007 but this set could be licensed from caterpillar perhaps. I want this more rather a RC supercar which only drives and no other interesting function.

good god, that is awesome set 8070 to me is the most beautiful technic set, combine this with white is beyond awesome. i'm curious anyone know what those rims are from ? he used 2 different ones and this

its basically the same image that we have already seen.

rerelease old set like 8275 or 8043 seems unlikely, but i'm guessing 2H 2014 would be the RC flagship. hopefully.
