  1. Yes, I have been making display cases for each of them as I go along. If you include the Cardan Lift from torso, that's 18 so far. More photos at same location. Anything you have would probably be useful.
  2. I'm getting pretty stoked to build this thing!
  3. All in MLCAD. Unless the parts don't actually fit.
  4. You're right! Sorry about that. Fixed.
  5. Beautiful work! Really well done. Now I need to render this thing.
  6. Thanks! I'm sure I will be able to make use of your file.
  7. I think this has been my greatest LDraw challenge so far. I now have everything except the doors, but those are going to be the hardest part. Actually, the rear quarter panels were a nightmare:
  8. When you get to the body, you'll find that there are a bunch of rubber connectors which allow things to flex that wouldn't otherwise fit together. I'm pretty sure none of that will work in LDD. It doesn't technically work in LDraw either, but you can force parts to overlap and make things line up.
  9. His photo instructions are as good as anything I could make in LPub, so I'm just making the LDraw file for fun and so I can make some renders.
  10. I'm making good progress on the LDraw file. This is a real challenge in MLCAD because of all the crazy angles.
  11. That set came out in 2002 when the company didn't care about cost. I think there is a reason we haven't seen any chrome lately and I don't expect that will change.
  12. I made my adjustment 1/4 turn at a time by using the u-joint driving the spiral lift.
  13. Question 1: How would I go about getting more attention from the ladies?
  14. Thanks. Since I have already drafted the single height instructions and ordered parts, I will build that one first and see how it goes. It shouldn't be too much extra trouble to add the double height version. I'll try to make them as common as possible to it is easy to switch from one to the other. Your link doesn't seem to work, but I found the information. This seems like it would be a good start for someone trying to replicate the GBS train system, even for the crane loader.
  15. I also volunteer to help with instructions. Just let me know what you need. The model deserves it!
  16. I'm collecting parts for this car now. If you need someone to test your LDraw instructions, I volunteer! I'd also be willing to help you with the formatting if you would like.
  17. This is normal operation for pneumatics. If you want the crane to lower more slowly, don't open the valve all the way.
  18. Probably because the title gave the reader absolutely no idea what the topic was about. Not everyone wants to read every post every day, so the title is an important way for people to decide what to read.
  19. Probably mostly because we are scattered all over the world. Most of us have never met. On the other hand, projects like The Akiyuki Project or various other instruction projects can be highly collaborative.
  20. I thought of the crane loader as version 2 of that module which is why I didn't include the older version.
